Clean, beautiful salon. They were able to accommodate a last minute reservation for my friend and me. We had pedis and gel manicures. I've had gel manicures plenty of times before at other salons. Usually they last just under 2 weeks for me, but this one lasted 3 weeks with no chips! I was very impressed. Can't wait to go back! Read Less

First time going here and I loved it. Yim took her time and did a thorough job on both mani and pedi and not once did I feel like she was rushing. Even when, at the last minute I asked if she would do a specific nail art. The only downfall was that it appeared as though the pedi chairs didn't do massage. This place was my second choice but I'm so glad that I came here! This place is is perfect. The prices are reasonable considering that it's an organic salon. Honestly - I doubt I will go anywhere else for a while. Kritti took great care of me. She took her time and paid attention to detail on my pedicure. This place is phenomenal! I've been coming for over a year now and they are always consistent. The staff is beyond accommodating and the salon is the cleanest and most unique! Their take on organic and eco-friendly is tasteful and not overly irritating! I've been thinking about this review for a few months; I didn't want to publish it in the heat of the moment but I've thought about it and this is something I would like to know before I go to a business.Olivia does good work, that's completely true. But if you asked me if I'd recommend them, I'd say no based on this one experience that shows me they have no interest in new business.I had gone to Olivia several times, I was happy with the work and the people there. In May, I made an appointment for a pedicure and a gel manicure. I got there early, was seated and started my pedicure. While I was getting my pedicure, Malti asked if she could start removing my previous gel manicure. I said fine, it wasn't exactly relaxing but I know how busy they get. She stopped halfway through because her next appointment had arrived.The woman who had done my pedicure then moved on to my gel manicure. We were about halfway done when a group walked in. She stood up and told me she had to go because her next appointment was there. I sat there for 13 minutes (yes, I timed it) until Malti finished with her last client and came over to finish. I'm sorry but I had an appointment. Her next client was early but was clearly more valued than I was. There was nothing other than an "I'm sorry for the wait." No, I didn't say anything because one of the owners was sitting at the station right next to us so obviously, this was fine by them.I get that 13 minutes isn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things but it's the point; some clients are worth more than others.ETA: I genuinely wasn't bothered by the first time the manicure was stopped. I get it, you're busy and if it helps things run quickly, I didn't care. The woman doing my nails literally stopped and said "Sorry, my next appointment came early." You were at the station right next to us, Chin. And I know it wasn't an issue with her doing a gel manicure because not only had she done mine before, she did one for the woman who arrived early (who was clearly a regular and was laughing and joking with her.) Basically: My manicure was worth the inexpensive price I paid. (16$ for basic + 5$ design)I could tell from the unevenness of the nail shaping from the start that my experience wasn't going to stand up to my expectations of all the reviews. But I'm not that picky so it's not really a big deal. The guy was really nice and did exactly what I asked, but I would say nail art isn't his strength. I called ahead for an appt requesting nail art so I assumed their best nail artist would do it. His lines were crooked and it got smudged a little.I'm quite happy though. I was visiting Baltimore for the week before leaving for Bermuda and in DESPERATE need of a pedicure. I had asked around trying to find a reputable nail salon and many led me to questionable shops around the city. I had all but given up when someone suggested Olivia' s. This place is lovely. Small, clean and quiet.   I was a walk in and the staff was very welcoming and pleasant. I opted for the Brooklyn pedicure with the paraffin wax. The nail tech was very attentive and took her time with my nails, which I VERY much appreciated. Instead of the usual massage chairs and jetted foot basins, they have regular chairs and stone looking basins to soak your feet in. I thought I would miss the massage chairs, but the massage that accompanied my service more than suffice. I will DEFINITELY visit this salon again. Read Less

I found this salon after a quick google and Yelp search and I'm so happy I stopped by!  I love this place!  It was also a totally pleasant surprise to see one of my favorite nail technicians in Baltimore, China (and now part owner!) working here. The decor is so fresh, relaxing and contemporary.  They have a good selection of regular nail polish and gel colors, and many of them match.   I received a pedicure and they were able to perfectly accommodate my design request.  The nail technician that provided my pedicure was very kind and gentle.  There are no massage chairs at the pedicure station, but I actually really liked the comfortable lounge chairs that you sit in instead.   The price for a pedicure is comparable to most places in the city with a $5 up charge for a design.    I believe they also offer complementary wine and water here.  All in all, I can't wait to come back!  It's a new favorite! I went there for a french manicure a few weeks ago and it was okay so I thought I would give them another chance and try the pedicure. Wow, I'm sooooo glad I went back!I had Amy who was so sweet and gentle with my nails but gave a nice and strong foot massage when I asked. She calmly spent time thoroughly cleaning, filing, buffing my nails and really giving me an awesome foot/leg scrub and massage. She also did a very precise nail job and i can't stress how gentle she was!!! she completely cleaned my cuticles and all without it ever hurting or pulling!!The place is super clean and comfy! My arrival at Olivia was far from organic as I was purposely seeking an eco-friendly nail salon, let me tell you, it's not easy finding eco-friendly/organic nail salons. My friend called a few hours prior to our arrival as we didn't have an appointment, they were able to see both of us on that same date and at the time that fit our schedules best. Talk about flexibility! Upon entering, we were transported into a euphoric world that was clean, modern and smelled like lavender, lemon and other beautiful natural fragrances. Our attendees sat us down in comfy chairs and placed our feet into pedicure bowls of warm water filled with soap and flower petals, talk about a major pampering! The best part of the pedicure bowl is that it's pipe/jet-less which means the services you opt for will be safer and healthier for both the customer and the attendee! YES, please! My attendee was very friendly and not overly chatty, which allowed me to really slip away and clear my mind. Pedicure services were plentiful and ranged in time and price. I opted for the 40 minute/$40 Brooklyn Pedicure. My pedi included full cuticle and nail care, exfoliation with a lavender scrub, hot towel wrap treatment and an extended callus massage. So amazing! My manicure was pretty quick and simple, however I opted for the chemical free manicure which is worth the extra $6, no headaches from the chemicals and no worries regarding exposing myself to unnecessary toxins. I paid about $52 for my mani/pedi treatment, though steeper than I'd like, I don't mind paying this much when I know I'm not exposing myself to chemicals and toxins that not only hurt the customer, but others as well. I got my first pedicure at Olivia this afternoon and all I can say is... Wow! It has been years since I've gone to a nail salon for nail services, but I decided to treat myself to a pedicure for finishing my first year of grad school. I made a same day appointment via phone and had no trouble finding parking in the surrounding area. Immediately upon entering Olivia, I was impressed by the cleanliness and modernness of the salon. I opted for the pacific/basic pedicure and my attendee, Amy, did a wonderful job. She was very detailed, and took her time tending to my feet. She periodically asked me if I was doing ok, which I appreciated. I really enjoyed the stone-like bowl filled with warm water that I could soak my feet in, and the amazing scented exfoliating scrub for my feet and calves. The massage was divine, and I would undoubtely go back to Olivia solely for the foot/calf massage.Make sure to bring cash for tips- trust me, you'll want to tip your attendee after the massages at least! I really wanted to love Olivia, and have been several times since they opened. Each time with a different technician, and each time my gel manicure chipped within a week. Also, they take FOREVER- gel manicures should not take 90 minutes. I thought trying another technician there maybe the manicure wouldn't chip. So I went to Malti, who everybody seems to love. Unfortunately it was the same thing - took 90 minutes and chipped within a week. I did mention about the chipping I had at Olivia the last time when I made my appointment. when I made the appt. I got a pedicure at Olivia's this a.m. and my feet are still tingling from the euphoric experience. This place is such a tranquil gem in the city!I'm a gym rat and MMA gal (bare foot on the mats multiple times a week) and really needed to get my feet taken care of during this holiday trip. I'm so glad I found Olivia's as it was such a wonderful experience.The location is off the corner of a street with ample parking. The inside is simple with a Zen feel. I made an appointment via text (numbers are listed on their website) over the weekend and was immediately seen.Unlike most nail salons and spas, this location doesn't have the klunky pedicure chairs with the electric basin. Instead, customers are given a stone-like bowl with a pedicure powder and a few flower petals. My attendee was wonderful and did a great job on my feet -- including going to town with the callus tools. (Remember, barefoot on MMA mats several hours a week.) My Everest pedicure came with the option of one of three (or four, I forget) exfoliating scrubs. I chose the tropical option that smelled divine.I also received a calf and foot massage, hot towel wraps for my calves, and a parrafin wax for my tootsies.Given the boot weather, my attendee knew I was going to put on shoes that weren't open-toed and added a finishing polish before placing my toes in sandwich bags -- so I could put my socks and shoes on.I really appreciate the attention to detail Olivia gives its customers and would definitely frequent this salon if I lived in the area.**Note: As a head's up, they accept credit cards but you have to tip with cash.** Read Less
