Came in for the first and last time!! They did a horrible job...none of my nails are even, they were lumpy like he was in a rush, and the designs look like a 10 year old did them. When asked to fix it, I was told there was nothing to fix. I went bc it was closest to my job and I couldn't go to my normal salon. Never again!! Just went to this salon for the first time as a walk in with my friend for dip powder manicures. Both of our manicurists were extremely nice, and when we asked for a particular design with glitter they did their best to accommodate us. However, the manicurist doing my nails asked for advice on how to do the design and another woman working named Kayla T. instantly became angry and was EXTREMELY rude to me. She accused me of asking for something that was impossible/asking at the last minute when I had shown the manicurist a photo of what I wanted before he had even begun to do my nails.  I have never been treated so rudely in my life, and only gave two stars because my manicurist did a good job. Thank the heavens for Kayla!! It is sooooo hard to find a great nail salon that leaves you feeling overwhelming happy about your nails. Kayla did my gel mani/pedi and my eyebrows. My eyebrows look amazing and I didn't get irritated (what?? yes girl!). I went on a Thursday after work (I had an appointment) and they were super busy! I wouldn't ever go as a walk-in because I wouldn't want anyone else, but Kayla. As they got busier Kayla seemed to get a little overwhelmed but she never took her attention off of my nails. Was it 100% perfect? No. I prefer 3 coats rather than 2 and I prefer to rinse my hands prior to application, but my nails still came out beautiful and no chipping! After a rough experience at another salon by me in Locust Point I decided to look up a new spot to try before leaving for the airport today. Finding a Sunday spot open early was tough, but I walked into Babylon when they opened at 11 and they took me almost immediately, in spite of being surprisingly busy with regulars. I explained I was in a hurry and my manicurist said no prob asked if an hour or a little less would work for both services and immediately started on my gel pedi!  I felt like even in spite of my timeline she was super detailed and thoughtful not to skip over any part of the treatment. She was pretty quiet but checked with me to make sure I liked the colors I chose which I so appreciate.Pricing was roughly the same as the other salon I am used to. $82 for gel mani and gel pedi.Overall impressed by the experience (even though it was a bit quiet), definitely would consider coming back across the harbor to visit again. Unfortunately I received terrible results here and have had the same experience the few times I've tried. As far as attitude goes, they aren't lacking kindness which was refreshing.. But still - they rushed me out the door without paying mind to how terrible my nails looked. My nail job was brutal. They didn't push my cuticles back, nor clean my nail bed, and I left the salon with clear coat all over my fingers. I definitely would not recommend this place if you're looking for quality. This place is wonderful!  It is in a great location and very easy to find. Not sure why anyone would say it's hard to find. It's in the same lot as Langermans. If you go on the weekends or after 5, you can park in the garage and it's just a few steps away. I came close-ish to closing and my nail tech took his time and did an excellent job. He clearly takes pride in his work. The pedicure was wonderful, and the massage/ scrub part lasted longer than usual- which was awesome. Everyone here was very nice, clean and professional. I overheard every tech chatting and sharing laughs with their client- definitely a friendly and comfortable place to be.  I got a gel mani after the pedicure that is just perfect and precise. I came here once before months ago and I loved how well they did my nails so I came back yesterday for a gel manicure, pedicure, and eyebrow waxing. I like the location. It's in Belvedere Square and there's ample parking. You would think because it's in Belvedere Square the prices would be higher but it's average and competitive with other nail salons in the area. The salon is also clean and well kept.The nail technician did a great job with my nails. I like that she takes a brush with acetone and cleans the excess polish off my skin around the nail. My only complaint is that she kept jabbing my cuticles during my pedicure and it was painful at times. I had to keep telling her that it hurt. Also, during my waxing, she kept blowing in my face trying to cool the wax. I'm glad her breath didn't stink but I want her blowing all in my face. My brows turned out ok but it was a tad bit uneven. It wasn't bad enough to trip over but I've had better waxing at other places. Overall, I really do like this shop and the service. I had a wonderful experience! I walked in and was in a rush. They sat me right away and I had the friendliest nail tech who spoke great English despite recently entering the country. When I struggled to pick out a color, she even put the colors on her hands to show what they would look like. She asked questions and we laughed about my bad spray tan. It is now 12 days later and my gel manicure still looks fabulous with no chips. I look forward to returning! Since I have moved back to Baltimore, it has taken three years for me to find a salon that I like as well as OC Nails. Kayla does an amazing wax (private) & acrylics. You cannot tip on a credit card, the technician does not even talk to you, most of them play on phones the entire time, and my cuticles were absolutely trashed about two days after getting a manicure.I did not appreciate being pressured into getting a pedicure several times, to which I had to bluntly and assertively say "no."  The location is hard to find at first.  The selection of nail polish is good, but that is not reason enough to ever go back. Pedicure was relaxing w/ a very average massage.She cut my skin on my finger to the point it was bleeding profusely. I love this nail salon! I've been coming here almost a year and I love the atmosphere. It's nice and calm feeling. They have the largest Gel polish selections I have ever seen. My favorite techs are Jade, kelly, and even tho I have a silly phobia about men nail techs but Kayla's husband I just can't seem to remember his name is really good. Jade fixed my eyebrows when the shape was all messed up!! Kayla is also good with waxing brows. The perfect time for me to go is during the week or early mornings during the weekend, but their busy is not an irritating hectic busy. They are pretty good with time. I've tried all the most recommended nail salons in the area and after much disappointment, have finally settled on Babylon.  There's two things I hate about coming here, which I will get out first.  Every single time, without fail, I am asked to pay in cash.  When I respond that I don't have cash, I am asked to use their ATM.  I don't want to use an ATM, and I don't want to pay in cash, and I don't feel they should accept credit cards if they're going to go this route.  I'm certainly not going to pay ATM fees from their machine and my bank just so they can save on a transaction fee that is the cost of doing business, and I find it really irritating that they are so pushy about this.  Saying no 1-2 times should be enough.  The other thing is more of an inconvenience, which is that tips must be left in cash.  Again, I don't usually carry cash, so it's something I have to make a point of remembering if I want to stop in here for a mani/pedi.Aside from those issues, I have found this to be the best nail shop around.  It is clean (important and rare), nicely decorated with a soothing atmosphere, they have a wide selection of quality polishes, etc.  Some techs are better than others, you just have to find your fit.  I would stay away from waxing, as I'm still trying to grow my left eyebrow in to match the right one after the last time I let them near my face.  Forget Athena, where it's loud and disorganized, and Canton Nails where it's just ok-try this place and you'll be delighted :)  Oh-and on Mondays (and perhaps thru Wednesday) they do a happy hour deal for mani/pedi combos, including gel manis.  I have every other Monday off and really love this perk! I've been coming here on and off for about 7 months since I moved into the area. The salon is clean, well kept and utensils are individually packaged; which is exceptional in this day and age. Normally, I have no issues with service. However, my nail experience this time was less than satisfactory. My nails were cut much shorter than I requested and the polish is very clumpy and thick in some areas yet the ends of my nails are still not thoroughly covered with polish. Had an appointment that I made with a specific technician - Maya. Arrived to find Maya tending to another customer and was told by the owner that "he will just take off your polish until Maya is done."(referring to young man seated next to her absorbed in his Iphone.) While doing so, walk-ins appeared and when owner instructed Maya to assist one, I spoke up saying, "Ummm, I made an appointment with Maya." Owner copped an attitude and my big mistake was not just walking out at that point. POOR BUSINESS MODEL. Most good business owners are aware that the goal is to keep the customer coming back, i.e., that's why I made appointment with tech I like. I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK.  And yes, Janelle D., "the guy could care less." Looks like both of us will not be back. They always offer a beverage.I often get a gel manicure, and they have tons of options for gel polish--Gelish, Essie, and OPi. It was two of us and our service could not have been any more different.  My male technician was fine however my cousin's was beyond rude. She was visiting and I was embarrassed after taking her there.  The guy giving her the pedi never once looked at her and when she had a slight smudge at the end of the service he blew her off and told my manicurist to fix it while he continued to look through his papers. I'm giving 3 stars because the owner does the best waxing and it close to home.  However the pedicures aren't that great been twice and got the basic pedicure and manicure was not impressed at all.  My feet were rough the next day and I think it took him all of 20 mins to do my pedicure.  I will go back for waxing but not any nail services. I really wanted to like this place. It seemed nice and a lot of the people who work there are very friendly. Unfortunately, the manicure I got here was pretty bad. Between leaving the building and getting into my car it smudged significantly (which maybe is partially my fault for not waiting long enough? I am new to the area and this place is by my house, so I decided to check it out. I've been a few times, and I think it's a perfectly good place to go in and get a quick and relatively cheap mani-pedi. It's not the best mani-pedi I've ever gotten, but it's definitely a good deal for the price. I've only been in once that it's been super busy (that was on a weekend and I still didn't have to wait to be put in a pedi chair). The technicians are friendly and efficient. I just went to the new location in Belvedere Square.  I was so excited to see them open, as it's only a few minutes from my house.  I decided to treat myself to a mani and pedi.  The atmosphere was pleasant, they weren't busy and they took me right away.  The guy was very nice.  The mani and pedi took a LONG time (almost two hours).  I would have been able to overlook the time commitment if it weren't for the pain that I was still feeling.FIVE days later, and my heels are still SORE from the guy taking off too much dry skin.  This has never happened to me before.  He also ripped and poked at my toenails so much that he made me bleed.  I have never experienced so much pain or blood from a pedicure before.
