My sister in law and I went to Bay Hills Nails, I am not sure what they did, maybe used bad expired polish. We got gel done and my niece did a regular manicure. All of our nails started to crack and, the lower part of the polish started coming off within the week. It was the holiday time so we did not have time to go back to get them fixed. My niece who only had gotten the manicure came off as well. We all did the same color and design. So the same polish was used. All our our nails are ruined even my niece who did not do gel. It has been several months nail and our nails are still so unhealthy. I am not sure if nail polish has a shelf life or not or where they may have bought it from.... But horrible... : ( Read Less

Went to get my nails done today. The woman who painted my nails was awful. She was rude - she told me to never move or she would cut me; that I needed to remove and place my hands in the machine repeatedly - and when I missed doing so once, she berated me for it; that the color I chose was "wrong" and that if I went with that color that was it - I would have to pay her more money to change the color. To top it off, she did a terrible job - I have black spots on several nails, and every nail is discolored toward the skin. I'll never come here again - and you shouldn't either. Read Less

Recently my grandmother was placed on Hospice Care and one of the things she wanted was to have her nails done. My mom went in and explained these issues to Kim the owner. Very disappointing visit.   We scheduled 4 pedicure at the same time and wasn't seen at the same time or seated next to each other.   Actually I ended up walking out with my 10 year old.  She was so excited about spending time with her siblings which she doesn't see anymore.  It was obvious they didn't plan accordingly and our time wasn't going to be spent together.  It was to be a family pedicure trip for mom, and children  ages 22, 21 and  10 before  the adult children were heading out of town.  They were impossible to talk and refused to be empathic to our situation.   I truly felt it was all about them jamming people into our scheduled time in order to make the most money.   I felt like a number and totally dispensable.  I mentioned I would write a review and it could go either way.  They didn't care.  What has happened to customer service?  It is apparent that  Bay Hills nails  doesn't care about the customers it's only about the next $1 Read Less

Bay Hill Nails and Tan has been my go-to nail salon since we moved to the area over two years ago. They are always friendly, accommodating, and it is by far the cleanest nail salon I have been to.  I am consistently receiving compliments on my nails and I tell everyone they need to go here! New to the area and found this gem right down the street from my house. I have been going to the same place for 5-6 years before moving recently. I was super nervous to try a new nail place. Place looked clean and the environment was welcoming and friendly. So far so good. Tried the SNS nails. Looks great. I usually go for the longer nail look but needed a fresh start. Read Less

Just recently moved into the area and was thrilled to find a nail place so close. My daughters and I stopped in to get our nails done. I needed a polish change and a  nail repair, my oldest daughter needed a full set of acrylic nails and my youngest daughter needed a gel manicure.I wish I could say our experience was wonderful and I found a new nail place, unfortunately that is not the case. The quality of the work done was mediocre... Nothing I would look at and say wow she did a really good job ... a lot of rough edges on several nails and a couple of them misshaped. The biggest shocker was the pricing. It was very inconsistent for my nail repair and polish change I pay $29... Even though their stated price is  approximately half of that price. My oldest daughter paid $30 for a full set of acrylics. Was shocked that she and I paid approximately the same amount for such a difference in services. My youngest daughter paid  $35 for a gel manicure which was the only pricing that seemed in line with the standard in the area. Overall not a good experience... Was hoping not to have to drive all the way to Gambrills to get my nails done, but would rather drive a distance then continue to support a business that doesn't do a quality job or follow their stated price list. So far, this is my favorite nail salon ever. My gel manicure is about a week old now, and still looks perfect. Usually, they are starting to chip by now, because my nails have a bend to them that makes acrylic start to pop off when there is growth. High hopes for future visits! Read Less

I walked in around 4pm. It wasn't crowded at all. I was asked how could I be helped and I asked for a manicure. She lifted her head, looked at me and told me "come back later, no one's available. Kim and her team do an amazing job. The salon is very clean - I'm never worried about sterilization issues, as I see them open a new sterile pack of instruments with every client. Have been coming here for years.  Love Tami. Everyone is always friendly.  They have SNS system which is doing wonders for my soft nails. The shop is clean and I look forward to just relaxing while I'm there. It's extremely convenient and a hidden little secret. They only accept tips in cash but M&T is a few doors down.  They always welcome walk in. There may be a small wait but they will tell you that up front. I sometimes have had to wait a few minutes for my appointment but it's gives me time to relax. Love the way my nails turn out every time whether regular, gel, or SNS. Best pedicure I've had in the Arnold/Severna Park/Annapolis area in years. Techs name was Kim - she was friendly, funny and attentive. Great price too! My daughter got her acrylics filled with another tech - a little pushy on "gel polish." Her experience wasn't as good as mine - several nails broke within a week. I was extremely disappointed, especially from the glowing reviews they have gotten. I went in for a mani-pedi. Pedicure went ok, they just cut my toe nails when I asked them not to. My manicure though, horrible, the woman never filed my nails and rushed the whole procedure. I was done getting my nails done at 7, they close at 8 and I was getting rushed out. After all was said and done I spent a ridiculous $70 on the entire thing, which I paid just because I wanted to leave. It is now 3 days later and the polish on every nail literally has peeled off like a sticker and every one of my nails is scratched and brittle. Safe to say I won't be back. Read Less

Wait time was not bad for a walk-in but hit or miss is right on the staff.  While friendly enough I kept telling them I didn't want gels.  I ended up with gels just to make the girl stop hounding me.  Then I asked for a french manicure with silver tips - she gave me silver glitter only which makes my nails look dirty.  Really?  She didn't know to first place a silver polish, then glitter over it?  Inexperienced...Not worth the money.  Overall the place was clean and prices were okay but I want my nails done right.  It's not rocket science. I have infections in both feet, out of work for 2 days. The instruments are not properly sterilized...ex. she drew blood after cutting my toe and she used those instruments on the next person while I was drying. awful, awful place. Very reasonable prices, and they can usually get you in pretty quickly for a mani-pedi.  But the staff is hit or miss.....some are very friendly and others don't talk to you at all.  Like most nail salons, they take credit cards but ask that you tip in cash.   They do take walk-ins, but you're better off if you have an appointment, as I've walked in before and it's been over a 2-hour wait.
