Nikky made all my acrylic nails different sizes... they do not remotely look good and she also drilled way to deep into my nail bed! orrendous customer service. I was told to come in at 3pm for a full acrylic set. I got there at 3, waited for 30 minutes and after asking the receptionist twice, I finally was told that they didn't know how long the wait would be because all the technicians that are able to do acrylics were busy. Why did they tell me I could come in at 3pm then? I immediately left because I couldn't waste any more time waiting. I won't be coming back. I've had better experiences at the WalMart nail salon. I was referred here after David Alexander messed up my appointment and couldn't get me in for another week. Claims that's where all their girls get their lashes done. Both salons use Xtreme products. It's a good product, and I'm not a brand whore so that's fine. I made the appointment. Made it for 5:30, called at 5:25 and was told that I wasn't even on the schedule and in fact she had just taken someone back and it would be at least a hour. K. I schedule for 7pm and triple confirmed it. I arrived at 7pm and decided I wanted a gel manicure as well, but being on a time crunch I asked if it could be done while the lashes were being done. They graciously did so... Nancy was amazingly sweet. I would highly recommend her and would return for my nails. I went with about 3/4 lashes on one eye, and 1/4 on the other. Somehow my right eye rejected the idea of lashes and I was in a pickle. A rather large one with no lube. I'd imagined they would match the size of the lash and fill me. The young lady decided to manually (no remover) remove those lashes and put on a new set. This took two hours. Remember I said I was on a time crunch? Upon completion, they looked nice in the mirror, not what I'm use to but good enough to get me through while I was out of town until I could get with my lash lady at home. I got home and wanted to see closer so I took some photos of the eyelid, and lashes. What I found was disappointing. The idea of lash extensions is to look natural... yet I found many were glued halfway from the root, so they looked as though they were floating... and there is a clear and obvious spot where they start and where my natural lash is... there is also a few areas that have gaps. I feel horrible writing this as she stayed almost a hour past closing to do this for me, and she was incredibly sweet. Overall, they didn't charge me for a full set, they charged me for a fill... $55 and I appreciate it. But I appreciate quality... not just a good price. I won't be back for lashes - I'm 96% sure... (I reserve 4% for panic instances like today when I have no choice) - but for nails, and pedicures alike I'm sure this place is amazing and would recommend them for those services. Read Less

This is the one. Welcoming staff and mgt., spacious and no noxious fumes upon entering;  clean and well maintained; wonderful private areas for services including lashes, waxing, massage, etc. The mood here is very relaxed vs. hurried- which is what you want.My nail tech Yen, truly takes pride in her work and does an excellent job. I made the switch to SNS which is a great option if you want to move away from harsh chemicals, acrylic and those uv lights. I used to come here years ago. Every time I love it. But my recent visit I didn't. For a place so nice it would have been great if they were up on the latest nail trends. I asked for my nails to be shaped almond and the didn't know what I was talking about and instead shaped it round. And I also never had someone do my feet and start cutting my nails who your asking first if that's what I wanted. I don't know if it's run by someone different than before. I just moved to Annapolis recently (about two months) and after visiting so many salons, I can really say that VIP NAILS Spa is my very favorite find! The worst nail experience ever!!! The technician was rude. She laughed when she caused me pain by cutting into my cutical. She rushed. No top coat was applied. I was overcharged. The store is beautiful and very clean but the service was awful. I will DEFINITELY never go there again. There are plenty of other choices in the area. Excellent customer service and overall service as well. I walked in for a polish change on a crappy manicure I had done at another nail salon 3 days prior. Even though it was near closing time, they welcomed me in and didn't rush me. The mani looks great a week later! I will definitely come back for manis here. The gals here are awesome! I'm a single mom and started dating, so my friends suggested I get the FULL MONTY treatment from VIP Nail Studio. What... ME get a FULL Wax job?! lol. No way! BUT why not? So the other day for the first time I nervously went down to the salon. My friends love that place and now so do I! It was clean and everything is sanitized. I got the Brazilian full body wax- or FULL MONTY as it's called. I'm not gonna lie- It hurt! But not too bad. My girl was nice and polite and very reassuring. The cost was decent. The place had good soothing music too. Everyone was happy and friendly. I plan to go back for some of their other services. My favorite manicure/pedicure spot.Best place in Annapolis for gel manicure and pedicure. Staff is friendly and the facility is clean. I like the fact that this place is open on Sunday because that's the day I like to run my personal errands. There is a lady name Hannah, she was able to do all kinds of designs and they really last for a long time. I have never seen this place not full and it's because it is that good. I love VIP. I wish I could afford to get pampered like this all the time. Don't get me wrong-Vip has great prices. Kim is wonderful. She always fits me in even when it's really busy. I have had manicures, pedicures, waxing. All very professionally done without the rush. This is by far the cleanest salon I've been to-they actually give you the disposable files,etc that they used on your nails. So you know they not reusing the stuff they can't sanitize. Best of all-they talk to the clients instead of each other. You are made to feel very welcomed there. This is the best mani-pedi i've ever had. The salon is very, very clean. The ladies and gents who work here are total professionals. The atmosphere is relaxing (no Wild Hits of Phat Beats radio stations blaring in thte background) and they speak to their customers and each other in a polite, quiet and friendly manner. This place is easy to miss but definitely worth looking for along Housley Road. Next to PetSmart. They do a great job! I was reluctant to get tips and they did a good job of making them look pretty without screaming "I got fake nails because I can't grow out my own!" look. I'm new to the area, and had been getting my nails done at those places in the strip malls; you know the one's with 20 salon chairs that rush to get you in and out?
