I really wanted to like this place because it's so close to where I live. But there were several issues both times that I went.... 1. It is over priced. There are better nail salons in the area for a more reasonable price. 2. They didn't do a great job. They were rough and tore up my nail beds. 3. They were rude. Both times I went there, my technician stopped doing my nails to take a personal call/text. I witnessed multiple others doing the same. Over all I just wasn't impressed. Will not be returning. Jennifer is the "go to" technician.  She is knowledgeable and caring.  Jennifer cares about her clients.  She also remembers what is important to me.  Her work is always neat and my manicures and pedicures last.  Jennifer never tries to up sell me but lets me know what the options are available.  The salon itself is clean.  The tools are sterilized and the pedicure chairs are pipeless so they can be throughly cleaned.   I hate to put Jennifer's name in my review because she's already so popular you have to plan ahead to get an appointment.  I am not always good at planning ahead. My friend recommended this spot and I am so happy she did! The staff is super friendly and it's very well ventilated so it doesn't really smell like chemicals like the usual salons. We had an appointment for 4:30PM but ran a few minutes late. They didn't mind and were still accommodating. Jennifer handled my manicure/pedicure and let me tell you... she is the best of the best. She is so good at what she does and so funny. I'm sad I'm not from here so I can't become a regular. She even pointed out and corrected some of the shortfalls of my last place. it was our last day in town and my husband was taking a class at the Annapolis School of Seamanship, so i had time to kill after checking out of our hotel and i thought, MANICURE! so when looking for a place on yelp i came across glamour nails and the SNS manicure, which i had never seen in any salon in chicago (which is weird, cause the powders say they come from illinois lol. i will have to do more research!) i figured i would try it out and i am so glad i did. i walked in on a tuesday morning and had to wait about 15 minutes which was totally fine. they had a ton of SNS colors to pick from and i settled on #338, cant remember the name. while i was waiting i looked around and the place is CLEAN, which is a must for me. even the windowsill, which is an often overlooked spot, was clean as a whistle, as were all the surfaces i saw. the ladies all seemed really nice, and it seemed like a family owned place which is cool. lisa did my nails and she was awesome! so nice and professional, explained the process as she was working, and talked alot about how much she and her longtime clients love the SNS and how great it is for your nail beds. there is still some drilling of the nail, and a slight smell with application of one of the liquids, but it is far and away better than getting acrylics or gels.  i am sold on this manicure, i hope i can find a place at home that does them! thank you lisa! my only sadness is that i didnt need a pedi, cause im sure they are awesome here! we are already planning a late summer trip back here, so i know where i am going to get my nails done! Got a pedicure and eyebrow wax. I've been having these services done other places for years, and this was by far the most expensive. If it was the best, then I wouldn't complain. Unfortunately it was run-of-the-mill to not terribly well done. The lines of the French tips don't match, she skimped on the massage and hot towel service (although the technician doing the woman next to me was doing an awesome job), and my eyebrows are not even. Glamour Nails is the place to go for SNS Manicures!!! SNS lasts longer then gel, does not chip at all, and is made of natural products making it safer/healthier for your nails. No other nail salon does it like them. Nunu is the best, ask for her when you go!!! My nails look better then they ever have thanks to Nunu!! She is so so sweet too! Glamour Nails was absolutely amazing! I was visiting Annapolis from Tennessee and needed a mani & pedi. Joseph (the male owner) did both for me and did an awesome job. Did not hurt or prick me a single time. I got gel nails and they look perfect and have lasted a long time. The entire staff was very friendly and all spoke English very well. Easy to understand. I called at noon to make an appointment and they got me in at 2:30 on the same day. The chairs you sit in to get a pedi are big and comfortable. Overall, the decor on the inside was not just plain white and everything was extremely clean. They have cute little ornaments hanging from the ceiling. There was not a stuffy smell that you get at some other places. Tons of color choices and all nice, name brand nail polishes. They also offer free water bottles and a bowl of candy. Was a little pricey, but definitely worth it with the service. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by several workers with a smile and was called right back. I was spoken to with much respect and manners, which I very much appreciated. The pedi included a great foot and calf massage as well as hot towels and lotion! Felicia did my nails for my birthday. I hate wearing nail polish because within the next day it chips right off. I got my nails done on Thursday and 4 days later they still look amazing! Diamond in the rough... Don't let the strip mall that it is located within fool you. This place is great! Anna and Lynn are my favorites, but I have brought plenty of friends in over the years, and no one has ever been disappointed. This is the third time I have been here. First two times I got basic pedicures and they were good, but yesterday I had a pedicure and a gel manicure and I am so disappointed it is the first time I am doing a yelp review. I do not think I will return there. I left after spending $82.00 and my pedicure just looks ok. She took polish off of 3 of my toes while doing my pedicure and repolished without redoing the base. It just looks a little sloppy and I had a dark polish on before and now a red and I don't feel like she cleaned it up enough first nor did she clean the cuticles well enough.Now my gel manicure...she definitely did not spend enough time doing the cuticles on my hands, which did not have a previous manicure. She did an extremely sloppy job polishing and when you apply gel polish and the polish touches the edges, it will start to peel, therefore eliminating the benefit of gel polish, which is that it lasts so long. My manicure truly looks, the day after, like I did it myself. I am so disappointed! I definitely will not be going back there again, which is a shame; I am local and have been walking over. This is the 6th nail shop I have visited since moving from California to Maryland and this is my FAVORITE! The owner is so nice and so are the people who work here. I walked in for manicure (removal then french, gel). The place is clean, pretty, friendly staff, and great price! The salon itself was very nice and looked very clean. I have been going there since this past summer, one of my girlfriends referred me there, but I will sadly not be going back. The staff is always changing or not showing up for work, so lately when I've come in, the person I want is not there. I went in this past Sunday and that's the reason I will not be coming back. Joey or JoJo who did my pedicure was rude. She explained to me the specials that they had going on and after the third time of me saying, "Just the regular please." She basically told me in shorter words that I was dumb for not taking the special because it was only 10 dollars more!!! She made me very uncomfortable, I felt like I HAD to pick the special or she was gonna chop my leg off, so I picked the special so she wouldn't be mad and take it out on my feet and the SPECIAL which is a DELUXE pedicure lasted about 35/40 minutes!! It was supposed to be longer than that, I believe she told me 1 hour. So my friend and I have decided that the salon USED to be about QUALITY, not QUANTITY and are now on the hunt for another salon.Read Less

Is an appointment not an appointment any more???  This is the second time I have called ahead to this salon (because they are not very well staffed) and made a reservation to have my nails done only to find that they have 3 walk-in appointments ahead of mine.  I was extremely disappointed the second time this happened,as I thought the first was a fluke. I have 2 children under 2 years of age and time is precious.  I am sure this would be the case for anyone. This is a pretty nice place to get your nails done. It's not your typical white washed walled and plain interior. They have very nice chairs to sit in for your pedicure and also pillows on the chairs for manicures. The magazines were also current (I have to catch up on my hollywood gossip!).
