This is a beautiful place to get your nails done. I trust everyone in here because they are all extremely thorough and all very nice and sweet. They have recommended nail colors for me which are my new go-tos. This is the place I chose to get my wedding nails done and they looked perfect. I made an appointment for myself, 3 bridesmaids, and my mother, and everyone's nails looked great, and they gave us mimosas and kept them coming the entire time we were there. I think their prices are very reasonable. The salon is very clean and modern. All of their colors are on boards that you can look through rather than on the wall. I worked for Thuy when she and Jon first opened their Magazine street location. After I few months the bad ergonomics of the pedicure stations and passive aggressiveness of Thuy forced me to find another place of employment. I assume I was the first of many employees to quit. I gave 2 weeks notice, worked those 2 weeks and left on what I thought was good terms. Fast forward to almost 2 years later, I'm applying for a federal job that requires an extensive background check. So, I do my background interview and think that is it. Then several months later, I get called into a meeting with my Special Investigator specifically to clarify what happened when I left Blanc Beauty Bar. As, Thuy had reported I did not give 2 weeks notice and did not leave on good term. Kiara Reeves has been my hair stylist since May 2014. Since that time, she's moved to this fabulous salon! I travel about 60 miles just to patronize her! She is a highly talented, sought after hair extension specialist. The salon is gorgeous. Located on world famous Magazine St. in NOLA, Blanc Beauty Bar is pretty easy to access. This is the place I've been looking for!!! The atmosphere is very spa like. Clean colors, soothing sounds, and it looks nothing like your typical nail salon. The nail paints aren't on full display. There's no awkward pedicure chairs. The manicurist are chatting with each other and making you feel like they're talking about you. And there is plenty to explore outside of the salon.  I wouldn't typically give 5 stars until I've had a chance to see how my nails hold up but I'm confident I'll be back again. They do however charge a bit more than typical nail salons, just think of it as a luxury tax. Lol Read Less

Pros: - Amazing owner who has hand picked a ridiculously awesome staff! When I first started going to Blanc (close to two years ago) I only had a couple of go-to nail colors (Lincoln Park After Dark, Bubble Bath, Mod About You); but with the help of all my girls at Blanc I've found TONS of new nail colors that I'd never dare to try but now love! - Welcoming, clean, and beautiful environment. The first thought I had when I first walked into this beauty bar...Try to imagine ALL of your favorite pins from your, "Favorite Places & Spaces" Pinterest board.- Oh and two major BONUSES: Complementary Champagne AND Ashley Longshore's gallery is literally right across the street! So, when your done getting some paint on your fingers and toes you can walk across the street and see some of Ashley's jaw dropping paintings. Chris Rock once said, " Women only need three things to exist: food, water and compliments. Oh, and shoes." I'd venture to substitute one of these things for a great pedicure. I found such at Blinc.I'd driven past for months, meaning to stop by. Finally had the chance this weekend and was so happy I did! Airy, spacious, devoid of that formaldehyde smell. Took me perhaps five minutes to select a color - the array was vast. My nail tech was wonderful and the beverage service was superb. I absolutely love this place. Everyone was friendly and made sure I was relax and well taken care of. Holly did a great job with my pedicure and manicure, especially the massage part. They have a great selection of polishes and was willing to let me test out any colors before coming to a final decision. Most salons don't like offering that because it takes up more of their time but at Blanc they make sure everything is about you and nothing is rush. First of all Fellas!  Don't feel like you can't come here! They are very nice and you'll feel right at home.I've been going to Blanc since they first opened some months ago.  I am new to New Orleans and relied on Yelp to find a salon where I could get a manicure.  The people there were very war and welcoming as soon as I walked in.  Pair that with the majority white styling of the place and it's immediately feels like somewhere you don't mind hanging out for a bit.Once you walk in the door you'll be offered a beverage of your choice as sign your name on the appointment book.  They offer water, sparkling water, red and white wine, and champagne.I always go for the Mindful Manicure.  It's a nice mani that includes just enough so that when you walk out you feel like your hands have been made anew.  The products they use are very good.  They don't have a very strong scent that follows you all day.Everyone there does a great job so you can feel comfortable with anyone.I recommend calling ahead to make an appointment.  They can get busy in the late afternoons and on Saturdays.  You can walk in of course but calling in ensures that you don't have to sit around and wait for long.
