This is absolutely the BEST nail shop in the Metairie/Kenner area . The staff is very nice and definitely cares about their customers and also cares about the health of their customers nails as well . Had a wash, cut and blow dry and I couldn't have asked for more. The staff were brilliant! I was immediately offered tea or coffee, seen dead on time, had lovely chats with my hairdresser and I'm very pleased with the results. Had an appointment at 5.45 and at half 6 was still waiting. Should have known better than to book in to a salon that has no customers when you walk in. Very disappointed! Had eyelashes booked in for my holiday in a days times and have now got to try and sort something last minute after being left no choice but to walk out after a 45 minute wait. Got my hair did today, full head colour and blow dry, died it blond with darker roots and i couldn't be more happier, staff was very sweet and welcoming and the result was perfect, exactly what i wanted and even more. I havnt been to the hairdressers for a few years due to the last person who cut my hair being very scissor happy, so was a little worried about trying somewhere for first time. I didnt need to worry, as soon as i walked in i was made to feel welcome and the salon has a really friendly and relaxed vibe. Zara (the hair sylist) was absolutly amazing she took a lot of care in finding out exactly what i wanted giving me some great advise too I had a complete transformation going ...from dark brown to bright red. Zara cut and coloured my hair exactly how i wanted it. She was so lovely and my hair come out better than i cld have hoped for. I am in love with the colour and the cut is perfect. I fully reccomend this salon to anyone thinking of going. Im so glad i visited today as now i have finally found a salon where i can go, sit in the chair and just relax knowing i can have pure confidence and trust in Zara. All of the techs seemed pleasant. The gentleman who did my manicure was very polite & asked several times throughout the process if I was ok with how my nails looked. They also give a punch card for a free pedi after your 9th visit. There's only two things I personally think they could improve on (although I've encountered this at most salons so it's not a deal breaker). One being they should finalize the tab "after" nails have dried. While I tip my nail techs 20%, I personally do not feel obligated to do such if I'm not satisfied with the final product. Luckily the end results would've yielded a tip so it wasn't a problem. The other being that they consistently spoke & laughed with each other in their native language. I'm not concerned with whether or not they were speaking negatively about clients. It's just rude in general, especially in a professional setting. I equate it to a group who speaks the same language & two of them whispering amongst themselves. It's just distasteful & inconsiderate of others in my opinion. I personally don't care so I will be back; however, if this is something that's a deal breaker for you stay away (good luck finding an Asian owned salon that doesn't practice this though, lol). Now I only gave 3 stars, because I give 4 or 5 stars if the services are beyond the norm. The services are pretty much the same you'd get at any other salon. All in all I don't feel you'll be dissatisfied with the end results just don't expect anything noteworthy. This place deserves 0 stars and should be closed! I have stage 4 Breast Cancer and came to get my nails done extra special for breast cancer awareness month. I went this day because it would be the last time I would be able to get gel nails due to my next round of chemo. The manager of the salon sat my friends and I down at the nail bar. My friend knew what she wanted and was taken care of by a sweet young lady. I on the other hand wanted special designs and it took me awhile to decide on colors/designs. Two different individuals came up to me while I was looking and rudely asked if I was "done" then continued working on other customers. When my friends nails were finished, we asked who would be doing my nails, and the response was not what else expected. We were told that I took too long to decide and that I would have to come back tomorrow. There was absolutely no customer service skills involved with any encounter that happened with me in this nail salon. Read Less

I just came to get a gift certificate and the lady was VERY RUDE about having to get up and get one for me. She acted as if I was inconveniencing her to ask for a service they provide. I'll just go off of my opinion about Tammy's nails but I think she did a good job on my nails ... I got the gel nail manicure, the total was $35+ her tip and this has been the best gel manicure I have gotten. A lot of other places the gel will start peeling a week after and my nails have been going on 2 weeks strong and they still look pretty good. There wasn't much of a wait when I went and I had no appointment , I went at 6 and they close for 7 (didn't mean to be one of those but my nails were awful from my previous manicure I couldn't go a day longer). As for their customer service they weren't rude or anything, they didn't talk much it was pretty quiet, I don't really go for conversation anyway I go for relaxation so I didn't mind it. I can't explain how rude my visit was to Tammy's nail salon. One woman constantly kept hassling me to pick colors she thought was right for my skin tone, very hard to choose a color I wanted. The pedicure was not done so well. Another woman started on my nails asking do I want one nail different from the others, because "you people" as she put it like different nail colors on nails.
