Had quite a wait but was approaching a very busy weekend. They throw in the "extras" but fail to tell you the additional charges until you pay, and now I know why. The girls were all exceptionally great with my 5 year old daughter, who after being in the shop for a few hours was getting bored and restless!! I have been a regular customer at Zuri for 3 years now and have had a range of treatments from Victoria and nails done by Rachel. The girls are all lovely and do a fab job, I am never disappointed with anything I have done and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. Staff are very accommodating, quite often squeezing me in for a last minute appointment when I have forgotten to do it sooner (woopsie lol). After reading the review below mine I also have to add that I regular...ly bring my youngest child along and this has never been an issue. My son has Autism Spectrum Disorder and with Zuri having a very relaxed, calming atmosphere he enjoys sitting on the couch reading a book or playing a game on his ds with headphones on while I have my treatment. I went here for the first time yesterday after work fora gel manicure and regular pedicure and I'm happy with the outcome. It was very busy due to the upcoming July 4th weekend but they did their best to get everyone in and out quickly. They do stay open until 7 PM, so I like that I can always stop by after work.Walking in, the first thing I noticed was that the salon looks much bigger on the inside. There are about five or so manicure tables towards the front with all of the pedicure chairs in the back. I also saw a kids' pedicure section with decorated chairs which was really cute. I wish I remembered the name of the lady who did my nails because she was sweet, bubbly and did a great job. My mani and pedi look fantastic! I'll definitely be back when I need pampering. Read Less

I don't normally leave reviews but feel I have to warn other girls of the awful experience I had with £60 individual Novo lashes at Zuri. I am someone who had my lashes done regularly at another local salon for almost 12 months (with regular, Infills, removal and renewal) As I was getting married I decided to have my lashes removed and have a 2 month break with a plan of having them reapplied at Zuri. After hearing so many great things about Zuri Boutique I booked into Zuri f...or Novi lashes and from the start I absolutely hated the way they had been applied (gaps, not very full) so went back to have more added, the lashes felt hard clumpy and my lid was stuck to my lash for about a week. I went on my wedding holiday absolutely hating and being irritated by the lashes. When I look back at my wedding photos the lashes are all over the place. During my 14 day holiday the individual lashes where falling out in clumps! Leaving me with baldy spaces in my own lashes. I had been having my lashes done for 12 months previous to this and never had any of these problems in 12 months. Never mind 14 days!! As soon as I returned from my holiday I went to Zuri to have the lashes removed , the process should only have taken 15 minutes. The beautician took 50 minutes removing the lashes because of the amount of glue that had been applied. At present my own lashes are absolutely horrendous they are stumpy and baldy where my own lashes have fallen out with the clumps of individual lashes applied. Went for a gel manicure. While filing my nail he sliced all the way across my finger under the nail (pretty deep), bled for a while and if really hurt. Manicurist looked at me like I was crazy when I pulled my finger away, and tried to put some sort of unidentified green liquid on my open cut to "stop bleeding" (I declined). I just left the Solar Nails in Metairie, on Transcontinental and West Esplanade, and I had the absolute worst service I have ever experienced in a nail salon. One of the girls started my manicure then got up and left me in the chair for 30 minutes. When I finally said something they got another girl to take over (apparently the first had decided she rather do someone else's pedicure instead). All the new girl did was paint my nails, no massage. I was there for an hour and a half for a simple manicure. Didn't get the full treatment. Then was charged the full price even after I presented a card showing I was due for a free manicure. The lady claimed it wasn't good until the next visit. I have been to that establishment a few times, because of convience, and have never been completely happy with their service but, this was the final straw. I will never revisit them again and highly discourage others from going there as well.Read Less

Been there few times and every time I go, I end up leaving with bloody fingers. Sure they do a wonderful job in the end but they take forever to finish and seriously cut up my hands. Today I visited Solar Nails for the first time and recieved the absolute worst pedicure of my life. I was rushed to the chair when trying to pick my color(color selection was very limited, btw). When I asked if I could have hot water in my tub as mine was cold, the tech laughed and rolled her eyes. She was very rough and dug into my skin until it began to bleed. I yelped in pain and pointed out what she had done and she ARGUED WITH ME that it wasn't bleeding. Kept saying, "it's ok, not bleeding, just clean" as I watched the blood trickle out of the cut. From that point on she completely ignored everything I said. I tried to ask another tech for help and they just smiled blankly and ignored me as well. I was being polite even though I was upset. I guess she figured her tip was down the drain at that point and was just trying to rush me out of there. She slapped the polish on leaving gaps and was angry when I asked her to fix the 3 worst. After she was done she said "you go" and walked off. Came back while I was sitting at dryer, slapped ticket down and walked away again without saying a word. I told the guy in charge how rude she was and that I was unhappy with my pedi. He could care less. I left furious. Now that I am home and have looked at my feet more closely I am fuming all over again. There are still rough spots, there are gaps, clumps and thin spots in the polish coat and there is polish all over my skin. I would have done better having a five year old paint them. So I basically paid to be inconvenienced and now have to re-do them myself. I will say the massage chairs were good quality though. Read Less
