I have used the Metairie location before, a few times in the past couple of years and have never had a "GREAT" experience, always just okay. My husband usually gifts me with gift cards here, so I have no choice but to use them as there is absolutely no refunds. Well, today, has done me in. I will never use this this location or any other EarthSavers again. I booked an 80 minute DEEP TISSUE massage and received a very soft, light touch massage instead. The entire time I was wa...iting for the pressure to change, wondering if maybe they didn't hear me when I asked to book a deep tissue. Honestly, my 9 year old massages harder than what I received today. At no point in the 80 minute massage was I asked how pressure was. She did ask "are you okay" which I responded yes. No other questions were asked. The foot massage portion was longer than the shoulder massage, which was one of the problem areas I listed, not my feet. Upon check out, I asked if they had me down for a Deep Tissue and she responded yes, and that "so & so" was the best at DT, etc. Basically refusing to hear what I had to say, got up and went ask the girl if she did DT, of course she said she did and even threw in "I used my elbows"-- um no you did not. Then I was grilled about having other massages, asking me if I go to certain places, etc. BOTTOM LINE-- that was NOT a Deep Tissue massage, not a single second of it. Customer service was crap as they basically questioned me as to whether Ive had massages before and never once apologized that I was unhappy with my services. I'm very impressed with the staff! Very kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. I enjoyed my time there and look forward to going back. I highly recommend this Spa! This was the best Pedi I have EVER had!! Wonderful smelling products, extremely clean stations and the Woman that greeted me when I entered was AMAZING!!! Her personality and smile were so welcoming. I went here (Magazine Street lcation) for the first time this past Saturday for a Pedicure. I wasn't near as happy with the whole thing as I thought I would be, considering the price. I expected a nice, quiet and relaxing pedicure. It was none of the above. The lady that did my pedicure was very nice and my nails look great, but there was hardly any massage (like the description says on line) and I just couldn't believe how noisy it was. I got to listen to a bunch of women gossip and just a lot of chatting about nothing. I was not impressed. I hope that my visit was an unusual environment, but honestly I doubt it. One of the best massages I've had to date! Still feeling relaxed two hours later after driving around in parade traffic- that never happens! Went here because my co-workers got me a gift card for my birthday. I walked in and was happy to see behind the curtain in the back was a very plush, nice seating area. I filled out a brief questionnaire, asking what my goals were for the massage. I specified relaxation and Angela delivered! The essential oils were awesome and the pressure was perfect for me. my girlfriend tried to get me a massge before our wedding and earthsavers in mandeville told her she couldn't purchase services using her credit card, and then told her she had to buy a gift card as a way to pay. not once did they tell her she couldn't get a refund. So I go for my appointment and they have a leak well I was never informed and I asked for a refund and they wouldn't return it. so I ask to speak to the manager and the lady claims that she's the manager so I then... asked to talk to the owner and she lied and said they weren't there. eventually she goes and gets him from the back after I'm already pissed because they failed to honor their part of the deal and no I don't care why because it's a business and they should be held at a higher standard. I'm the customer and as a customer were the ones that pay their bills ultimately because without our business they wouldn't make it. The services for an 80 minute massage and facial and pedi were ok. The staff is nice enough , but the space definitely needs re-do. There is a no -cell policy but no luxurious quiet area to relax . And no locker room, no shower .Need more separation between staff foot traffic and retail store . And while getting treatments rooms are so small every sound of other doors opening and closing is heard. All my appointments were on time. I just think that the element of luxury is mi...ssing . Pedicure chairs also made loud noises at times and had hair on the back and mold around the rim . I think I would only patron this again if I got a gift here . Ayanna, at Magazine St store, gives the BEST manicures and pedicures! I highly recommend her. I got my first gel manicure 3+ weeks ago and today before Ayanna took it off it looked perfect. I love Earthsavers and have been meaning to write a review for a long time! Their massages and facials are fantastic, and I got my first mani/pedi there 13 days ago. To my astonishment, my mani has not chipped (just the slight rubbed-off wear at the very ends) but just grown out like gel does. How is this possible? It's a personal record. We visited the Metairie location for mani-pedis. Overall, the service was pretty good and the facilities were okay. However, the repetitive new agey music with birds got on our nerves after about 15 minutes. By the end of the almost 2 hour experience I was beyond annoyed.
