I was out of town visiting from Montgomery, Al and decided to give them a try. 2 days later my daughter's nails were coming off. My nails were barely cleaned up neatly. Before we proceeded to leave she asked for a fee. I nicely told her if it was done correctly the first time we wouldn't have been back. I went to Hongs because they're close to my house,walking distance actually. I have been getting acrylic nails since I was a teenager and have visited multiple nail salons over the years. I'm 31 and I have never had such a terrible experience and that's with a nail tech making my cuticle bleed. My nails...a full set didn't last a month, close to. My index finger nail broke the very next day after my services. When I went back for a cutdown I was told not to get my nails so long and they won't break again. I don't like long nails people! If I can't make a fist my nails are too long. I was able to make a fist and still had them cut down. I looked like a kid! The nails started to break away from my cuticle. One nail, my left index finger nail is currently breaking off from my nail bed. Yes my real nail. All the acrylic nails have been removed by professionals at another salon. The first time I went to Hong Nails it was because it was close. not very friendly service. I went back two more times because they open early.  Each time Hong, who is very nice, started my service, but another woman finished. She gave me the wrong polish color the second time, but my nails looked fine. This last time I went in with nice long nails that had already been filed into a round shape. She asked what shape I wanted and I told her I wanted the shape they were in and specified round because I wanted them to look as long as possible and if she made them rounded square it would shorten their length.  I wasn't paying enough attention and saw when she was done filing that she had made them thinner than oval with pointy dagger like tips. So pissed! I told her I said round. She said this is oval.  I said I know, which is not round. I would not let her do what she thought would remedy the situation;  try to make them round by filing more, which would have made them even shorted!   Hong was within hearing distance, but said nothing. I felt uncomfortable, and said no more, but left a much smaller tip than I normally would have. I wish I had not tipped her at all. I will not be going back! Read Less
