Fantastic! I have been struggling with keeping gel polish on my nails, so after a little research, i decided to switch from my normal place and went Bella around 10:30a on a Saturday. Luckily, I only had to wait about 15 minutes for a chair, but next time I'll be sure to make an appointment because this place gets busy...and for good reason! Bella Nails is without a doubt the best nail salon I have ever been to! They are all perfectionist and super welcoming and friendly. They keep up with the new colors and trends. Every time I get my nails done I have people asking me where I went and what color I have on. I went to get a gel manicure for my graduation and I asked for little foil stars and showed the nail tech a reference picture, when she did my nails she added some huge pearls and rhinestones that are cute but kinda lumpy. Didn't bother me much, I was still in love with them. Then, only hours after I came home, I noticed one star was no longer gold because there was no top coat on it. It fell off so I went back today to get another put on because I didn't pay $45 for a one da...y manicure. I asked for another star and to add a little top coat to one other star. When I came in the same girl replaced my star but didn't line it up with where the pervious one was. She also had another nail tech add a top coat to all my nails, which I didn't need. My nails are WAY too thick and when I got in the car I noticed that there was gel on half of my middle finger and it was still tacky on my nail!!! I had to stop at another nail place on the way home to get it fixed!!! I felt completely disrespected and I will NEVER return. Honestly the worst treatment I have ever gotten and extremely overpriced. Nails look okay from a distance but are lumpy and messy. I felt like they didn't respect me because I am young. I think your perception of this business is based on your expectations and what you're used to.  Not one star, because it wasn't awful, but still not the best experience I've had.  It was the least desirable of the three I've tried in Mandeville and Covington.I hate to say I was a bit disappointed because all of these reviews got my hopes up.  I mainly went to this place to avoid the Causeway (I usually end up spending 2+ hours once the drive is factored in...) and find a place close to home, but I think I will stick with what I know.The customer service was a tiny bit below average, there is a LOT of shuffling of people between people and I think customer needs can be lost in translation.  You end up telling a couple of different people what you're seeking and suggestions are thrown in, and before I knew it, I was walking out with something completely opposite.Pricing - expect vague. I wasn't sure what I was going to pay because I called first, $6, explained what I wanted when I got there, $27 plus whatever design I got, so we are now looking at fortyish (for a polish change). Actual work - had a deep holiday red removed, but not well.  The underside of my nails still looked dirty.  I picked a color, was told that color was too light (sheer pinkish nude, think a tad pinker than OPIs bubble bath), she went and picked out a different pink and used that.  We are in December and it was a bright Easter egg pink.  My original nail technician kept messing up polishing (about three or four times) and would have to go back and correct it.  I sat in front of the fan for awhile until someone could paint a design.  I'm always open to new ideas (Instagram was very convincing!), but ended up with basic silver glitter (that ended up on my cuticles).  To top everything off, the next morning I opened an envelope and the paper sliced through the polish (that normally doesn't happen when a top coat is applied?).I take responsibility as well because I was asked if I liked it, and I said yes because I was ready to go, and for being there over 30 minutes, things felt very rushed.  Ultimately I paid $11 plus a tip for polish I could have done a better job on.  Really wanted to love this place, but won't be going back. First time visiting this Nail place. I made an appointment last Friday for mani/pedi. Salon appears clean. The little dog in the basket is kinda weird, and I am not so sure this is really sanitary? After a long week....I decided to treat myself, I paid $40 for the pedicure because the description said it was a leg massage/hot towels/hot stone with lavender and it was 45 minutes long. The owner is Tia, who was pointed out to me and I was told that the lady doing my pedicure that is her sister and her mother was next to my chair doing another lady's pedicure. Well, with manicure & pedicure--I was in by 4:55pm and out by 6:00pm. So, yea, they are very fast~not much time for relaxing. It's rush rush rush....I would NOT recommend paying extra since the massage was non-existent and the person doing my massage was interested in other customers and what was happening at the salon. Also, I think its worth mentioning that the customer sitting in the chair next to me got a regular pedicure-the $28 and hers was completed after mine? Wow....I asked the pedicurist/sister if she had any wine and she said she didn't know if they had any. A few moments passed and she brought me some red wine that had an odd refridgerator smell/ and a funny taste to it. The pedicurist then rushed to greet and meet another customer at the counter and didn't speak to me again after that. And this other customer was served some wine that was behind the counter, talk about feel like a second class citizen in this salon? Wow! .... Then another worker came to paint my toe nails and when the older lady was finished with her customer, she did my manicure. Not one single person asked if everything was ok, if I liked the experience or if I had a complaint. I guess they just don't care...so sad. I would not recommend this salon because of the nepotism. I mean, really...who can you complain to when the owner doesn't even acknowledge you, the sister is only doing her job half-ass and just leaves to schmooze with other customers? Not that I would want to be--but I guess if I was part of the 'clique' then I wouldn't feel so bad, but, I'm not and won't ever be, all I will be is a customer that wasn't treated right and a customer that paid money for a service they are not pleased with--therefore, I'll take my business elsewhere along with my money and spread my words by mouth of my experience here. I had my nails done on a Monday and by Friday they looked 2 weeks old so I went to have them refill on my solar nail and the girl with green hair was bitchy, rude, grabbing my hand as if I was in the wrong. Normally I go every 2 weeks for a refill not 4 days,, I will go back Mimi off Hwy 11 in slidell.. First, to the dog - her name is Lucky for a reason.  Our pets are like our children - this is an aged dog, doesn't bother anybody and has it's own little "house" to go in and is fortunate that it can come to work with its owner:).  I have no sense the dog is bothered by being there and if the odors don't bother me (in fact, I am not aware of them) then I am betting they don't bother the dog!The staff here is respectful and gracious - as in any service industry - there are people you connect with better than others but you aren't going to learn that until you start going and then you make your reservation with that person.  My pedicures, whether gel or regular, have always been very well done and they last until the nail growth requires change.  If you want the polish all the way down to the skin, it is as simple as asking but, I will tell you, a lot of people like that half moon (or, not going all the way down to the skin).  Same with fingernails.  I have not always had a positive experience with my gels lasting on my hands (however I have also had them last more than three weeks) but what I know is Tia wants you to be happy - and if they don't last and/or you aren't satisfied - she is a decent business owner and will work to make it right for you - at that moment or after the fact.  It is easy to criticize - but if you don't say anything then there is no way to correct what you perceive as a wrong.  I do not find the pricing to be any worse than any other place I would go for the service I receive.  Is it a lot - that is why you can go to the drugstore and buy your own.  Mani's and Pedi's are a luxury - and to have someone else pamper you costs money!  I am very satisfied with this salon.. There is no other place I would rather come to get my gel nails done. Tia and her crew are amazing at what they do, and I can't recommend them enough. I have gotten gel nails done in North Carolina, Helsinki (Finland), and Besancon (France), and I have yet to find anyone whose techniques is as polished or long-lasting as that used by Tia and her techs at Bella Nails. Her prices are very competitive, well worth the price, and she is amazing at custom nail art. She has a busy shop, but I will always be glad to wait. Today was my first time at Bella's and it was honestly the best pedicure I have ever gotten. I picked the Mojito pedicure which included scrubs, hot towels, hot stones, and even a paraffin wax at the end. Tia did the design on my gel finger nails and was professional & efficient. I am surprised to read that negative review on here! It was definitely worth the drive from New Orleans to see what all the raving my friends have been doing was about. Bella Nail's should be avoided.  They overcharge based on the average price of a northshore salon and will rush your service.I had gel stuck on the sides of my hands for days due to their sloppy application.  Also, what is up with the poor dog they leave sitting in the tall pedicure chair? Do they not know that a dog's nose is extremely sensitive and the salon has horrible ventilation?  The poor baby seemed like he was dead when I went to touch him. So so sad!  I'm not sure why I see this place busy, but there are much better nail salons near by such as Kim's Nails, Angel nails, or Serenity in Covington.  Also a few new ones are opening so try somewhere else.   Only go here if you don't know what a true good mani/pedi is like.   Then I guess you would never know the difference. After discovering shellac/gel polish, I vowed I'd never go back to regular polish. My only peeve was that the edges would start peeling up in more or less a week. Nearly always leading me to peel it off completely and damaging my nails.With that being said... Bella Nails has given me the best shellac/gel polish manicure! It's been three weeks and they look just as amazing as the day they were painted. Rose was incredibly thorough and meticulous with my cuticle care and nail shaping. She took her time with even coats of polish. My nails have grown significantly; It looks like someone took a nail sticker and pasted it.
