I just got back from this salon, and was treated extremely rudely by "Ryan". He rushed me, gave me snappy, loud commands to move my hands, tried to make me feel bad about the amount of dry skin around my cuticles, and was very condescending. "You don't know how to use this?" He mocked me when my fingers landed on the wrong spot on the mini-UV light and it didn't turn on. My nails look fine overall, but the experience left me feeling very upset. He was extremely rushed, he didn't clean around the edges of my nails with acetone, he didn't rub in any lotion at the end (which left my hands extremely dry), and to top it off, he added his tip out loud to tell me what to write on the receipt. As a recent transplant to SWLA from New York state, I've had a hell of a time trying to find a nail salon I trust. Well, I've finally got my home away from home. They're up to par with any place I've been including Manhattan. I will say, prices match where I'm from, but I'm happy to pay. I received an incredible amount of attention. The shellac spa manicure and pedicure I got were spectacular. I got very sick and just recovered. My nails were done three weeks ago, no joke, and neither my toes nor fingers have chipped. Other than growing out? Still on point. I can't believe it. So yes, I paid $100 total but you get what you pay for. I am heading back tomorrow for more and I cannot wait.
