Love this place! Been coming for years. They have boxes you can put your name on if you want your own tools but I never feel like the disinfected regular tools are dirty. They just expanded the shop and it's huge now. They've also hired some more girls. I love coming here and knowing I'm going to get a consistent pedicure. Only place in town to give you a full 30 minute pedicure for that price ! I love my $12 shellac ! Horrible service don’t even waste your money here and make sure you don’t get Kelsey to do your nails I went about two weeks ago to get my nails done and asked her to shape my nails as the coffin style and she tolled me very rudely that she had to charge me five more Dollars when I didn’t even ask for the price I didn’t care how much I just asked if she can shape them that style she looked at me with an attitude like she didn’t want to do that particular shape. Then she said that she had to leave my nails long and I asked her if I can get them kinda short she said no coffin style nails won’t look good on short nails!!!! Talk about good service ! If I want my nails coffin sryle and short you should want to please your customer wouldn’t you!? Also she made one of my fingers bleed and didn’t have the decency to apologize and just tolled me to not pick at it! SOO RUDE !!!! THESE ARE MY PEOPLE!!!! Love them! Here's the thing...they are awesome. They are friendly, kind, and genuinely happy to see you! My gel manicures always last. They are very meticulous and detail oriented.The only con is that if you pick a high traffic time to go, esp around holidays/weekends, you will have to wait. Found this place on Yelp and looked at the reviews to determine if I should try their nail services. This is a no nonsense nail joint, they have a huge team that is on standby the minute you walk in. No waiting!!! Love it and I had two girls working on me. I felt like I was back in NYC! I got a pedicure $25 and a shellac manicure which was $22, they advertise it a little different because it said gel tip- $12 but then I guess you add the "actual manicure" on it which was $10 so total $22. So be advised, their pricing is al la carte. I like the fact that both of them worked on me which gave me more time to relax at home instead of being at the nail salon longer. They have a 3 sided binder to choose your "gel/shellac color" it's fun but I wish it was the plastic nail display so you can but the try the color on top of your nail, some salons have this way of showing the colors you can choose from. The ladies took their time massaging the Lotion into my feet and hands! They didn't skip out... they girls took their time and worked it. Hello,To anyone who is new to Lafayette or maybe passing through please avoid. I went, looking up this nail shop received a 5 star rating, but was disappointed. They do not have a leg raiser they put your leg up on a bottle and a towel; Really? They also use a cheese grater; Really?  They are great at being polite & friendly, but that is not enough for my standards. Go somewhere else. I was passing through in town for ULL graduation. Awesome and super busy nail salon, even at 11 AM on a Thursday - go figure!  This place was such a great find!!  Their prices can't be beat, especially $12 for gel polish.  If you need to book an appointment, ask for Hannah - she is the friendliest nail tech I've ever encountered.  Her sister works there as well and is great too - book both of them if you go with someone else; they're hilarious together!The decor is modest and the size of the salon may be a bit small, but their prices and friendly service are the best and deserve 5 stars alone!  It's located on Arnould Blvd across the street from Jason's Deli.  I live out of town, but when I'm in Lafayette, this will be my go-to spot! After walking into one salon and realizing they were charging $30 for gel polish/ shellac ... I browsed Yelp hoping to find another alternative. City Nails had only 1 review but I decided to stop by especially after I called and they said shellac polish was only $12!That's what I'm talking about!!! Music to my ear dear!! Hannah was so nice and friendly! I love being in the South around really hospitable people so this was a bonus!! I found out about City Nails through my dad, who gets his Brazilians done here. Just kidding. They don't do Brazilians, silly. I had a mani/pedi at City Nails and was very pleased with the results. They have their technique down and everything. They don't be tickling or nothing. And now it's been about 2 weeks and my feetsies still look like they just stepped out of a spa.If you are a regular here, you can get a box, which they store with your personal tools (hacksaws, sanders and what have you, depending on the severity of your situation).
