I have been going to Fancy Nails for as long as I can remember - they have been around for a long time. The last time I went was two weeks ago and that was ABSOLUTELY my last. Before I could agree to the length, the man doing my nails (full set) had already trimmed the first TWO - very quickly. He cut them significantly shorter than I would have agreed to (if he would have given me a chance) and because of this, not only did I end up with nails way shorter than I wanted or liked, he only left me two shapes to chose from - round or square. I wanted neither - I wanted almond (similar to stiletto but without the severely pointed tip) but he didn't leave enough length. Then there is the polish - which also disappointed me. Unfortunately, the polish turned out to be more of a let down than the length or the shape. I wanted the tips painted with the same color pink as I had my on my toes - but he didn't bring the color down far enough so the contrast between my natural nail and the acrylic tip was visible. Also, after about three days, whatever polish was used for the base cost began to turn yellow and after a week, the polish had turned from clear (what it should be), to what I can only describe as a translucent light brown/gold. As far as my pedicure went, the same man that always does my pedicures did it this time. Over the last couple months, I had noticed that he seemed to be getting a touch rough with my feet but not so much that it concerned me, but this time - he literally was causing me pain. I know that sometimes the pumice stone will catch your skin and occasionally, the clippers can pinch - but one point, the tip of my second toe was actually bleeding (from a pumice stone). Once he finished, I had four marks under both feet (two on each) where I was literally missing a small chunk of skin. My skin on the balls of my feet and the heels was so raw the next morning, it actually hurt to walk around and that lasted for a couple of days. It took days for me to be able to put tennis shoes on again and it took days for the soreness to subside. During the pedicure, I could tell he had gone too far a couple of times and I could feel where he had gone into live skin here and there but it wasn't until the next night, did I realize the extent of the damage to my damn feet. He had hit my skin with the edge of the pumice stone so hard in some places, my feet were actually beginning to scab. I know this post was long but so was the experience I'm writing about. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Also, although it has never been a very nice place - it has always been quite messy and cluttered/unorganized, it has always been a little cramped but lately, it hasn't been clean, either. Read Less
