The bleach blonde nail lady was just so rude and ghetto towards me. I've been a bit ill lately and was starting to get a headache from the fumes so I asked a gentleman that worked there for a mask and he was about to give it to me. The bleach blonde told him something in Vietnamese and then he came over to me and told me that it would be $2 to get one. I've been to plenty of nail salons and if ever I feel I'm a getting a bit sensitive to the fumes, it's never been a charge to get a mask. Mind you, I'm about to pay to get gel removed, a full set and French tips. I felt insulted by the $2 charge of the mask so I asked him to remove the foil because I was leaving. He said it would be $3 which was fine. He sent the blonde over to remove the gel polish but my nails are sensitive and she was being a bit rough. I asked her to be careful. She replied "How am I supposed to be careful if I'm trying to scrape it off?" I told her that she could get it off without hurting me. She replied that she wasn't hurting me. I then asked her if she could feel for me...she ignored me. She scrubbed gentler and was like well that's all that's coming off and was getting ready to send me on my way. I told her that I paid for removal. She insisted that it wont come off unless I let her scrape it or rewrap them. I told her that I would sit while she rewrapped them. She replied "well sit there boo." In the nastiest, ghetto tone. No respect at all for paying customers and I gave her no reason to speak to me in that tone. I didn't even reply to her because 1st of all she's not worth my breath and secondly, my head was pounding. They sent a different girl to do the rest of the removal. Best nail salon ever! My daughter and I got our nails done today and we were served really quick. There's a cute little bar in the back of the salon where you can order mimosas and wine. Def a great place to relax. Service was great. Read Less

THIS IS LITERALLY THE WORST NAIL SALON IVE EVER BEEN TO... i would never recommend this salon to any of my friends and this place would never see my face again. First off, the service is poor as hell. i got my nails filled here and the lady didnt even wipe my nails off properly so spots of my old nail polish were showing through the new nail polish. when my nails were supposed to get painted, a guy painted my nails literally like he was painting a house.. COATS ontop of COATS. So ofcourse i had to get them repainted by another guy because the coats didnt even dry. I had to choose a next colour because they couldnt manage to paint my nails with the colour that i chose. I didnt feel welcome nor was i satisfied. I used to visit this location regularly as it was conveniently located around the corner from my job and on my way home. It's large and can get very busy but if you want something duplicated from what you've seen in a picture this is the place to go. Someone will make it happen! I'd fallen in love with the quality of the nails so much so that I'd come from galveston on my off days. After months of being a regular customer there was a noticeable decline in service as business had started to pick up. I decided to find a closer nail spot with much better service. Read Less

I really enjoy coming here, it's such a professional and welcoming environment. This isn't your typical nail shop which is what I prefer. Unlike many of the others, they actually interact with you, they provide every customer with the option of selecting free beverages, including alcohol if that's your thang.  The layout and design is very nice, neat and clean and they offer a plethora of pedicure services which I love.  The prices are very reasonable and they even have a loyalty rewards program for every $25 spent after 5 visits, you get a 25% discount. I would definitely recommend Hollywood Nail Bar to anyone looking for an awesome nail and foot spa pampering experience.  They also do waxing! I went to try this place out after having a terrible experience at another nail place. I went to go have my nails redone here 3 days after getting them done at the other place. I can say my experience was wonderful - my nail technician was very pleasant and inviting. She had an awesome conversation piece..my feet and hands feel amazing! But for $69 ... y'all know I keep it real.. I'm not completely satisfied and if I'm not completely satisfied- I'm not satisfied... my nails could've been buffed better and my cuticle line could've been cleaner. My experience was horrible..., these people seem like they are hard up for money ..... I accidentally broke a $1.00 glass and they tried to change me 5.00 I told them I will go and buy it back and they called the cop on me for a cheap glass after I spend 80 dollars for service for me and my daughter.... and because of the whole confusion I ended up paying them twice so they got 120 bucks from me.... black people need to support our own business and leave these people alone that treat us like trash...,, I will never go back Again and I don't recommend this place.... This place was okay and offered a lot of sparkle and glitter but like most salons in New Orleans you really get mediocre service for an expensive price. They do a bunch of add-ons to make it appear that you're getting a "bang for your buck" when actually you're getting polish over your dusted nail bed wish they'd just brushed it and decided not to clean it off. Oh yeah and i'm biting my damn nails and digging off the hard dead skin that I just paid 70 ish dollars for what should have been an inexpensive mani pedi instead of the smoke and mirrors for a red carpet that got me excited. I came in last minute this evening about 45 mins before closing. Ayden took such great care with me after removing an awful set I received from another salon. Ayden is literally everything and slays your hands! He made sure my nails were perfect even though it was near the end of a long day for him. He has an amazing personality as do all of the techs I've come into contact with thus far. I would recommend this shop to everyone and will be making this my regular salon from now on. I just got my nails done by Ayden& I love them! I got a solar full set with different designs and colors. The people are all very nice, it's a different feeling from other nail salons.
