This is my FAVORITE nail salon. Ever since my first experience (about 2 years ago) I haven't been anywhere else! I visit every 2 weeks. I actually went today, but forgot to check in . Price gouging n unprofessional. You can tell their whole goal is about making a buck. They tell you basically that the only way that your nails can be a little different is by getting gel. I went in for a refill, regular polish, n two fixes and almost spent $45 dollars. How?? The most I’ve ever spent for my nails can look like a $15 job. Plus the manicurist was on her phone the entire time, I told her she was hurting me with getting too close n she basically said oh well, not sorry or nothing.... instead of guiding my hand was roughly pulling my arm to the point were I pulled it from her. Literally, if I could give this place 0 stars I would. I hate this place. I literally hate this place. I always try and give them them the benefit of the doubt. But forget it. I live close to here which is why I went here. They do an ok subpar job but nothing special. Extremely understaffed. Called ahead one day to try and book an appointment and was told they don’t take appointments the same day. Called ahead another day to see if there was a wait. Was lied to and told no but when I got there was not greeted at all. Sat down for 30 minutes and was not told anything! They will always seat you at a chair but then wait 30-45 minutes before they start on you. I hate this place. Terrible customer service and lazy nail techs. Never again. Read Less

Theeeee worstt.. I came in at 2:45 got out by 6(closing time)A new employee did my pedicure she didn’t know what she was doing,..she alone took 2hours I had to take over and do my own clip downs,.basically I was her practice doll.. my manicure was the worst which was rushed because they were closing. i've been getting my nails done regularly every 2-3 wks for about 4 years and la nails harahan is to date my favorite place to go. i took away .5 star bc there is 1 lady here who has given me disappointing acrylic nails 2x, but that's what i get for being disloyal to my nail goddesses - Ha and Amy. the other .5 is for making me wait over an hour, also on 2 separate occasions, but that's what i get for not making an appointment. i could have just left but chose to wait. Ha always makes me feel like family as soon as i walk in the door. She helps me out if i ever have a problem with scheduling and never lets me wait more than 20mins, even on their busiest days. She does my acrylics regularly and i am never disappointed. they last 2 weeks, which is a miracle considering my lifestyle - i am pretty rough on my nails. Amy has given me the most natural looking acrylics i have ever received.i cannot recommend these women highly enough.eyebrow waxing is also great here. painless and they listen to what you want for shaping. Terrible worst experience I've ever had involving my nails. This was my first time and last time at this so called "Spa" I went for a full set and regretted it. Julie was the lady with big drawed on dark eyebrows over weight pig that did my nails. and she is rude and was in a hurry and she filed a layer off of my skin and made blood out of my left ring finger it was a very bad painful experience she could of at least apologize. She didn't ask if I was okay or tried to give me a small discount for the inconvenience. They are very expensive save your $50 cause it ain't worth them I would so not recommend anyone to even enter their nail shop. Read Less

HORRIBLE. I will NEVER step foot in this place again. Came here last minute to get a manicure because my regular salon closed early. Tim was AWFUL. He didn't even ask what shape I wanted my nails or if I wanted them clipped or anything. He was SO rough with my hands omg. When he was done my nails looked worse than they did when I came in. I don't even know the name of the shape that he made my nails. It was SO awful. Then to make matters worse the cuticles on my thumb were bleeding because he cut me. SO SO horrible. I literally wanted to cry. Going to the nail salon is a total treat for me. I don't get to do it often these days so when I do I like for my nails to look nice when I leave. I'm highly disappointed. I truly loved coming into this place and getting my manicures and pedicures but this last time I went, I received a manicure and wax. My gel polish chiped in less than 24 hours. I took my receipt and went to get two nails redone. After two more days, the nails have chipped again! After returning for a third time in the same week, I asked for a refund. I was only provided a $15.00 refund for the gel polish. The manager was not friendly when I explained the situation and kept asking if I wanted the nail fixed. I explained no this is my third time returning in a week! No one offered any type of service recovery for my inconvenience. The manager was not apologetic or asked if I would return. This was my favorite place and I did not hesitate to recommend their services.  I will not be returning. This has been by far the worse experience. Read Less

Awful it has been less than 2 weeks and my nails are cracking and lifting.First of all the entire experience was not relaxing at all. The massage chairs are awful and uncomfortable. The nail tech nearly killed me trying to remove the acrylic nails by lifting it with just another nail and a few screams from me she looked disgusted and went to soak them and then  file down. Then they were rushing trying to do both at once which I hate and takes away from the supposed relaxation of the Deluxe Pedicure I was receiving. This place is good for designs by quality of service and products Blah!!!I stick with Essential Nails and Spa they may not do designs but the quality of products and service is always top! Read Less

Horrible after going to them for many years and many different nail techs. I have finally done with them. I visited another local salon to have my nails refilled and to my surprise three of my fingernails were growing a fungus and turning green. Do not go here they are not properly trained and are not cleaning their tools. When you ask for specific things they tell you no or act is of they don't know what you are talking about. They do something wrong and they act as though its your fault. Horrible service. Won't be going back.  I only gave them one star because this app made me otherwise they would not have gotten any. They do not do good gel polish. My polish chipped and several of my nails broke w/in a week. Other than that, the staff is pretty friendly. When I came here for acrylics I never had a problem, but I do not recommend them for gels. Read Less

I went to this place last month to get a manicure and gel polish. They cut me several times and the polish job was undeniable the worst I ever had. I gave this place several attempts after this one but the same outcome! This place is overrated. The service is horrible and employees are unprofessional! Before today, I would never write bad reviews. One because I understand that sometimes things happen and two, there are enough bad reviews circulating throughout. Today, I visited this salon to have acrylic nails removed. The young lady who was assigned to assist me was cold and seemed to be in a hurry. While in the process of removing my nails, she used a drill and dug deep into my nail, REMOVING my actual nail!! I immediately snatched my hand back. She proceeded to tell me that it was ok and that she could still paint over it?? Huh?? I was done. I didn't want her to do anything else. She insisted that I at least let her polish it. Needless to say, I'm done giving this place second and third chances. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere where they aren't in a rush to do your nails. Read Less

I am usually easy going and don't really bother writing negative reviews, but I was disappointed in my visit here. After reading the reviews I figured I would try this place, but it is definitely not as good as the others claim. This nail salon offers relaxing decor and cleanliness, but they are seriously lacking in quality of service. I left unsatisfied with the paint job, with cuticles still in tact, and with polish messily in random spots on my hands. (I could've done that myself.) My gel nails chipped within a week (then what's the point in getting gel?) The entire experience felt very rushed. I visited this nail salon yesterday.  Very nice inside. Clean.  Staff was very friendly. A new plastic liner was placed in the Pedi tub.  Made me feel like they really cared about the customer. Sophia gave me one of the best pedicures and leg massage I have had in a very long time.She was gentle and asked several times if she was hurting me.  She scrubbed my feet with sea salts and lime. I love this place.  From the outside, I was skeptical, but once I went in I felt much better.  It is clean and the decorations are nice.  They have lots of color choices and must have 12 pedicure chairs in there.  Also new to me, they put a little plastic liner in the pedicure tub for each client.  This was a hygenic first for me!  The girl that did my manicure and pedicure, Tina, was great.  She was thorough and details oriented.  She removed my previous gel manicure with cotton and foil around my fingertips, which is much nicer (and does a better job) than soaking my hand in acetone as I've done at other places.Would definitely recommend and am definitely going back! I have been here three times now on my various visits to my friend in NOLA.Great pedicures here. Did a manicure too and wasnt disappointed. Pedicure lasted three weeks! Really glad I made the time to stop in when I was in town for Mardi Gras. Read Less

I always love coming here. This is my "go to" place for a mani/pedi. They are always very friendly and they do such a great job. My pedicure always lasts for almost 4 weeks! This place is a bit pricey but I personally think it's worth it for the service you get. If you want to avoid a full house come during the weekdays if possible.
