Stopped in for an eyebrow wax. Based on the review I saw in here, I asked for Nina. Overall quality of my wax was great and for a good deal! So I would give 5 stars for that! However, if you’re looking for professionalism or customer service, you will not get that here. When walking in there were 3 employees who were sitting down with no customers. They didn’t necessarily greet me, just asked what I want done. When I got back to Nina in the waxing room, there was one other worker back there but I heard 3 voices... After about 2 mins in, I realized that Nina was on the phone (speaker phone). I could barely get a word in to tell her my request for my shape. The service was quick and turned out great, but with the lack of professionalism and customer service that’s what took my 5 down to 3 stars. Would I go back? For brows - Absolutely. Went there today for the first time and I loved how they did my nails. I moved a month ago to Gonzales and tried others Salon’s but haven’t been so pleased as today with Nina’s, I definitely going back! Thank you for the good work! Read Less

Since the relocation of the salon, the quality of Nina’s services have declined tremendously. On top of that, the salon is never clean at all. I visited Nina to get my eyelashes done and once she was completed, the lashes were too spaced out, and a large amount of glue was visible. The lashes were quickly put on without care or precision and looked as if i could have applied them myself. Whenever complaining about your service to Nina, she gets highly offended so whenever I let her know i was unsatisfied she became very upset and did not try to help improve the mistakes she had made. She even threatened to call the police on me because i told her i couldn’t pay for what she did because it looked just that bad. after more than 10 years of going to Nina’s i will never return. She cares more about getting money than customer satisfaction. Please stay away from this nail salon and go somewhere that you can get what you paid for and not have to worry about being insulted because you voice your dislikes about the service you receive. Long wait but worth it! I love the energy the staff gives off. This was my first time here but you can tell they have rapport with their regular customers. Even though I came close to closing time, they still took their time to make sure my nails were done properly. I should surely recommend clearing your schedule and doing business with them. The service is very slow & Inthink it’s mainly because they get more customers than they can handle & just seat them all in the chair until the have time for them. The people in there are kind of rude but they do a pretty good on the nails. They say sly comments & you can tell they’re talking about you amongst themselves. Price is not too bad but they don’t even have a designated person for the money; someone will get up (sometimes while doing nails) & ring the person up. Read Less

This is a review for the one down hwy. 44. It's horrible they only have 2 women working and I went in on a Friday so you can expect a lot of people. I arrived at 1:30 they did not finish till after 4. It's ridiculous and I seen many people come in and wait and then leave. Will never come back to the one down hwy. 44. I decided to go to the one by Hwy. 30 because my sister had recommended me Nina. Well I went and Nina wasn't there, but as soon as I walked it I just got a bad feeling they were rude didn't even greet me just asked what I needed done and to sit down. Some nail salons actually engage in small talk with their customers but not them they say there speaking there own language with mad looks on their face as if they were unhappy to be working that day. Well I got a pedicure and decided to just polish my nails as well I ended up paying 38$ and it wasn't for gel and when I asked the lady how much to polish my nails she said 7$ so I ended up paying 31$ just for a pedicure & on top of that my pedicure wasn't done correctly. The next day my fingernail polish was chipping and peeling off and my feet had dead skin popping out by my pinky toe and it felt rough on the side of my feet. Im never going back it was horrible customer service as well as quality of service. Was very disappointed and wanted to share my experience with others. And as well if your trying to get something done quick this is not the place to go they take forever and they have people sit down in chairs even if their not ready to work on them. 1st visit and will not return. Rude staff and low quality work. I only chose a color change after I sat for 15 minutes, but Im glad I did not get my full pedi, bcz my nail polish was sloppy and I had to ask twice to clean the polish off my toe. Read Less

Do not waste your money!! Only one person in the nail shop does nails and she I isn't really that good! I went to get a refill and they didn't even fix the nail!! They jus put acrylic on it and the same day it came off sent back and they told me I would have to pay to get it fixed!! My toes had no top coat applied !! Then the polish looked like my 8 year old neice did it then when I askdd for them to fix it they told me to come back only so they could call me stupid and said that was the best they could do d . Just moved to Gonzales so I had to find a new nail place. I was nervous because it's a tiny little shop so I didn't know what to expect but I got a full set and my eyebrows waxed for 35$ loved my nails & my eyebrows. This will definitely be my new place. the first time I went to the one on burnside Nina had a nasty attitude with me she treated me like I was going to walk out without paying so she made me pay before even getting started everywhere else I go I always pay either last or before they start the design her nails are beautiful but I will never spend another penny in there just because of the way she treated me Read Less
