I have been going to the Bichonne location in Denham Springs for almost a year and a half. The prices at Bichonne are a little bit higher, however I've never minded paying more because the technicians were very good and I was USUALLY pleased with the services rendered. I was a regular at Denham, Charlene and Anna were two of my favorites.
Since the flood I've stayed loyal to Bichonne and have traveled to the Baton Rouge location (Natalie quickly became another favorite), of course the atmosphere in both salons is very nice and the service is usually good. Of course, there are some days that I know the salon is busy and service isn't top notch (longer waits, rushed services, etc), but always tolerable.
At the Denham location, the very few times I've had any issues with any services, they were always handled in a friendly and accommodating way.
However, today at Baton Rouge's Bichonne location, the service I received was VERY disheartening. I had previously got a pedi with the great color tiramisu for two and after about a month of the color being on my toes, I wanted it on my hands. I had my manicure and polish done by a technician, Nancy I believe. TWO days later, I started noticing that the color on my hands wasn't like what was on my toes. For WHATEVER reason the color was turning a rusty red/brown color, I was upset, but was planning on traveling BACK to the Baton Rouge location and having the issue addressed as it usually is.
Only this time, at the Baton Rouge location, I was told for them to redo the nails, I would be charged another fee. I paid $40 two days ago and felt like them asking me to pay the fee again was unfair and unnecessary. Shelby went and spoke to Anna (whom I was told was the manager) and they stood by that, only now offered me 10% off the repolish. I was very upset and displeased with the way the issue was addressed and just asked for them to remove the terrible gel color off of my nails. I told them I would follow up with the owner, Cindy on this matter, because in my opinion, Bichonne should have stood by their TWO DAY OLD work, but they didn't.
So with that said, I will not be returning to Bichonne for anymore services. That is very heartbreaking to me, as I always bragged on Bichonne and have referred many clients to you. I was faithful every two weeks getting my nails done and with your prices (mani/pedi/gel on both, usually runs about $100 give or take, plus tip, and even bought several woodwick candles), that isn't cheap. However, I will now have to find a new home for my nails and just wanted to let it be said that not standing by your work is no way to keep customers and isn't a sustainable way to run a business. Integrity goes a long way.
