I came in for an airbrush tan yesterday. I followed directions leading up to the spray treatment - shave & exfoliate. Followed instructions after as well - wear loose clothing, no perspiration, don't scratch, don't shower for at least 8-14hrs. I'm just not that impressed. The color I went with was medium and to me it still looks like a fake tan! Orange and uneven. There are spots on my legs that I can tell it was unevenly sprayed and had nothing to do with the aftercare. For example, the whole back side of me in general is about 1 shade lighter than the front side of me. There's a side of my leg thats lighter than the front and back side. This is not streaking...its uneven application. When you're trusting someone to stand there and spray you, expect there's room for human error. I was planning my wedding from across the country and they were very flexible with me scheduling my hair/makeup trial just days before my actual wedding. I looked at so many hair/makeup vendors and Glo was by far the most affordable, especially for my bridesmaids. Amy and Povati (?) arrived at my hotel right on time and did the hair and makeup for myself, my 6 bridesmaids, my mom, and my husband's step-mom. Originally, not everyone was going to get their hair and/or makeup done, but they saw what great a job the stylists were doing and wanted to get their hair/makeup done, too! The stylists didn't have a problem with that since we were running ahead of schedule, which was really nice. I absolutely loved the way my hair and makeup turned out - it was even better than my trial! I wore my hair down, which was risky since my hair doesn't hold curl well, but it stayed in place the whole day. I felt very pretty! I highly recommend Glo! Read Less

I stopped in for an airbrush tan and five days later, it's still looking gorgeous. I am in love with the level of service, comfortable and non-judgemental atmosphere, and expert application. Plus, the actual tanning product was great. It's not smelly at all and the color is perfection! This is the first nail salon I've tried since moving to Baton Rouge. I had my place in DC that I went to for over four years so I was hesitant to see what the options were in a small city. This place did not disappoint! The woman who did my nails (Ashley I think) was kind and very thorough. We had a good conversation and she told me about the area. They recently did a remodel and the establishment is clean with tasteful, modern decor and a good vibe. I needed to get my eyebrows done and Ashley even reheated the wax for me after it had shut down. I really appreciated the customer service. I will say that the experience took far longer than I am used to, but perhaps that is a Southern thing. Up north, I could get a pedicure, manicure and my eyebrows done in 90 minutes or less. Here it took almost 2.5 hours, so just make sure you allot the right amount of time. Perhaps it's the northerner in me that needs to learn how to slow down and adjust to my new environment. I've been dealing with bad haircuts my whole life so I decided to try this place. I was a little skeptical at first knowing they probably deal with women. But what the heck. I figured it would be better than Supercuts or Sports Clips. Ashley cut my hair and she was phenomenal. My hair is very difficult to deal with. It's thick and grows outwards and I have cow licks. She took her time (almost a whole hour) using scissors and a thinning razor and delivered exactly what I was looking for. Will definitely go back to her in the future. I started going to Glo about 8 months ago. I bought a Groupon for a Brazillian wax just to try a new salon and loved it so much that I switched from my prior salon to Glo. I highly recommend Rachel for all your waxing needs! She is professional, personable, and proficient at her job. Getting waxed isn't very pleasant but time speeds by when I'm chatting with Rachel. She convinced me to try the sugar wax on my last visit and I loved it- I appreciate that she's knowledgeable about the latest treatments but isn't pushy. Not too impressed with the customer service! I went in on a Thursday afternoon for a spray tan. I didn't have an appt but was just stopping by because I was in the area and wanted to see if by chance there was something available. Well they were "all booked up" so I was sent on my merry way. I'll definitely be back! Jade did a great job on my shellac manicure, and even came back to the spa late, after her shift ended to accommodate me. The spa is clean and beautiful, and I love the fact that the pedicure room is private and cozy. She even offered me a glass of wine. I just recently went to Glo for the first time ever. I bought my first groupon for my first Brazilian wax. Lots of firsts haha! I went in and was instantly welcomed and was offered something to drink. I waited a very short time for the esthetician to come meet me. Her name was Kelly and she was very welcoming and friendly. She showed me around the whole shop which was really nice because I had no idea they offered so many different services! She took me into the waxing room and explained everything that was about to happen. She made me feel so comfortable during an experience that can be quite awkward. She was very professional and everything went smoothly and I was very pleased with everything! This salon is the reason why I want to become an esthetician. Beautiful space, friendly staff (cool, real, down to earth chicks that know their s***), cool concept. When I lived in Baton Rouge, I got a facial, several eyebrow waxes, and a airbrush spray tan here. All were performed with care, knowledge, and proficiency. The products I've bought here, although expensive, haven't let me down. The combination of their Clear Cell benzoyl peroxide cleanser, drinking lots of water, and regular use of biotin, improved my skin for the first time in seven years! I had high, high hopes for this salon but boy did it disappoint.  Scheduling is done online where you pick your service, your service provider, and time.  I picked a spray tan service on Tuesday with my appointment on Thursday.  I arrived with much excitement and anticipation as from the looks of the website and Facebook page this was going to be a really professional place.  Well...I arrived and was immediately greeted by a bucket of trash.  Just what I wanted to see. Then I was told that my service provider was switched with another girl so she could go home early.  I purposely booked the owner so I could really gauge the service and quality.  I was then brought back into a room in the back and told to undress.  I noticed immediately that the tile work on the floor was very DIY and the drain was packed with grout since someone couldn't figure out how to tile around it properly.  It's just doesn't scream professional.  While undressing the owner had left her cell phone in the room and proceeded to enter my room while I was nearly naked.  After that fiasco I was then asked if I had any moisturizer on and I said yes so I had to stand there naked with the door cracked open while waiting for the girl to come back with something to wipe my face off with.  It would have been better if they had asked me before I took off my clothing.  During the spray tan there was some yelling going on outside of my room which was not relaxing nor professional.  When the tan was over it would have been nice if they had had baby powder for me to apply since the spray tan is very sticky for several hours.  After putting my clothes on and coming out to the reception area, the owner was applying makeup in the makeup area and looked like she was getting ready for a night out. I don't know about every where else, but at the professional salons I frequent this is highly frowned upon.  I really wanted this beauty bar to be everything I imagined but it fell flat and underwhelmed.  If the unprofessionalism continues, I do not expect it to stay open for 9 months.  There are too many nice salons in Baton Rouge for people to deal with anything but the best.
