I've been here several times now, each time for a manicure and "spa pedicure" both with regular polish (I always bring my own anywhere I go). I really enjoy this place. There's nothing spectacular about it but the people who work there are always good natured and polite, quick and efficient but still seem to make the most of the massage. This morning, it felt like she spent forever massaging my legs which was awesome but I was still in and out in a little over an hour which I appreciate. And my nails look great - no streaks and very clean around the edges. I've never had to wait but I try to always go at times that won't be crowded - early or during a weekday. I got french tips 3 days ago at Star Nails with my two sisters and mom. The employees were all very rough, insensitive, and the lady who did mine was consistently digging her long nails into my hands and fingers as she worked. The 2 people who did one of my sister's nails and my mom's nails made both of their cuticles bleed for one finger. The lady who did my nails was very rough with my cuticles and was yanking on them as she trimmed them. She made 3 of my cuticles bleed, one of which bled throughout most of my manicure. In the second photo, you can see just how mauled the cuticle of my middle finger is! Now I'm starting to worry it might be infected, it's very tender and red. Also, almost every one of my cuticles have multiple painful hangnails now. This $20 manicure has cost me severely damaged cuticles; seriously spend a few extra dollars and go to a place where the employees actually know how to take care of nails. I never write reviews but I am so angry with this service. They didn't offer any refunds, discounts, or even apologies for their horrendous jobs. Went here last week and was needing a relaxing pedicure. From start to finish I was there 20 minutes, quickest pedicure I have ever had and not in a good way! The lady cut the back of my foot and also the nail polish was put on so sloppy. I had paint on my skin and my big toes you could see streaks from it being applied so poorly. I would not recommend this place to anyone! Read Less

Have always had positive encounters with these people until today. Asked for a manicure and all I got was a cuticle cut and paint. No lotion, no massage, no wax treatment or anything! I didn't care that I didn't get it, but was annoyed when they charged me for a manicure. I didn't want to waste my time and argue with them because it wasn't worth it. I come here for all my pedi's and mani's. I think they do a good job especially on the pedicures. I do wish they would get more updated OPI colors. I could go elsewhere but this place is convenient to my house so I don't mind too much. Read Less

Not satisfied. Went there for the first time 5/29/14 with my teen. We each got manicures & I got a pedicure. Pros: Place looks cleanMetal implements came out of a sterile (from an autoclave) packagePedicure massage chair was very niceCons:Manicurist did not apply a base coat & used color on my nails. It took an hour to get the fuschia/reddish color off (only removed due to lots of chips in polish)Some of my fingernails were left square with sharp edges which dug into my skin. I thought I had some sort of infection due to the pain - it was the nailsMy pedicure did not last longThe soles of my feet were gone over once with a brush so the next day I still had rough soles/heelsOverpriced for the minimal manicure required on my teen ($25) - nothing artificial mind you, just a straight forward manicure & nothing needed to be trimmed or filedBottom line, I'm most unhappy with the pedicure. If you go to another nail place in Lexington STOP!!  You need to start going to Star Nails on Brannon Road.I had the most incrediable pedicure I have ever had regardless of the price.  Very clean, very friendly, nice products and most importantly a freaking awesome foot/leg massage.I had a moment of worry when they started speaking a language I couldn't identify in relation to my feet.  It could have been that they were admiring the lovely nail color I picked out, it could have have been that they were saying I should have shaved my legs this morning, I'm not sure.  But, for the $35 I paid for the spa pedicure, I didn't really care.
