I have gone to their partner shop Chic Nails (Foxy Nails) for the past 5 years and the service there was always pleasant. The people was very nice and friendly to everybody. I'm a simple customer anyway...not to picky ...I don't complain...just do my nails and feet. The prices are always all over the place but I never complain, I pay for my service and leave. I do not live near this shop so i drive out of my way to go here just because they are nice and do good work, i always went to the same nail tech. About a year ago they partner with LAVISH NAILS and I knew the ownership had changed because I start seeing new people in the shop and some of the men are very RUDE. Late last year I start letting a lady from Lavish nails, do my nails and she does an amazing job.... She was also very friendly. She goes back and forth between the 2 shops. Anyway, some of the men are still RUDE and I told my original nail tech this months ago. These 2 nail salons are expensive and i pay good money for this service...so I will not tolerate this rudeness EVERY TIME I go to salon. This is not good business nor is it professional. The last 3 times I have went to chic nails looking for my original nail tech...i run into a rude man at the door so I start going to Lavish Nails to the new nail tech. I finally posted a review regarding the men rudeness, hoping whichever one of them is the owner they would correct this issue with their workers. To my surprise, the most recent nail tech that I start seeing at lavish nails sent me TEXT message, instead of apologizing to me for her people being rude to me she said that she is disappointed that i would write that review and asked me not to come back to her salon!!! There is a million nail shops in Lexington that I can spend money with but i spend my money there for years. She should have apologized to me for the experience I had with the unprofessional rude men in chic nails but I will not go back there and I will not suggest this salon to anybody else. They do great work but some of the men are the most rude ive ever seen. Lexington has many other nail shops to offer!!! I’m sad to say I’m quite disappointed. I’ve followed this salon on instagram for a while. I was blown away by their beautiful nail art. I found a design (on their social media page) and screenshot it so I could ask for that or it or at least something similar. I made an appointment 3 days in advance because my birthday is on Saturday. When I walked in I told them I had an appointment and a picture of the design I wanted. I was informed immediately that they couldn’t do it because the “flower was 3D”. To me it looked like it was just painted on but I digress. I decided to stay as I was pressed for time. The nail tech was nice enough. I showed her the same picture, which I then asked if any of the art or Jewels could be done. She said no all they had was silver. I said ok let’s just paint them and move on. The service was decent. However, she got red polish all over my fingers and my wrist was resting on a hard plastic jar of acrylic powder during my whole service! The shape and length were what I wanted but was not happy at how boring they were. I literally went to Walmart, bought cute Lil nail stickers and applied them. They look better now than they did at the salon! After all the amazing reviews I was seriously let down. After returning to their Instagram page I saw several RECENT posts of clients who had jewels all over their nails and they weren’t “just silver” either. I’m so bummed I had this outcome. Loved my experience this afternoon! After relocating to Lexington a few months ago I’ve struggled find a new nail salon.... until today. Sam was very efficient and despite my extremely short natural nails, he made SNS look great. The atmosphere was upbeat and again, Sam was great. Will definitely be back! Read Less

If you’re a man and want a pedicure then DO NOT go here. Soon as I walked in with my friend today, the guys at the place started debating and making jokes in another language about who was gonna take me. Eventually a female worker decided she’d just do it. It made me extremely uncomfortable. They need to learn respect, if I’m about to sit down and pay 40$ for a pedicure then show me respect and not make the customer feel like a outcast. It’s also obvious to customers even if you speak a different language when you’re talking about them. My advice if you’re a man STAY AWAY... won’t be back. I love lavish nails.  Everyone there is super attentive and friendly.  They're fast but pay close attention to detail.  I've been going there for a while and have rarely had the polish chip or had a problem.  We call ahead to put our names on the list and they always take us straight back as soon as we walk in the door.  They have tons of options and colors.  They line their tubs for cleanliness and take their instruments out of sterilization packages right in front of you.  The only thing I question is how with a pedicure, they cut the nails down into the corners, and strip down the sides, to take care of ingrown nails.  I was always taught to cut nails straight across to PREVENT ingrown nails.  That aside, I haven't been to a nail salon I liked better. I've been here a few times.. first time very pleased so I returned well I should of asked for same guy because the young girl with the maroon color hair did a very piss poor job. She rushed the whole time messed my nails up did not do my cuticles at all just dowsed my hands in oil at end to try and cover that part up.. she was too concerned with everything going on around the salon and did not pay well enough attention to doing my nails! They did a wonderful job on my hands a feet today. The pedicure was very enjoyable, my tech took great care in caring for my nails and nail beds. The salon was very clean and so were the tools they used. My two chief complaints that kept this from being 5 starts are as follows: 1. The "massage" portion of both my pedicure and manicure were hardly a massage at all just vigorously rubbing lotion into my legs and arms. 2. My manicure was a little rushed because the shop got busy. I was extremely disappointed with my experience here. I made an appointment several days in advance for 2 to get mani/pedis. I explained that I would be getting married the following day. So my friend & I arrived for our appointments. A woman ushered us to pedicure chairs & proceeded to fill my friend's foot bath. She did not fill mine. She started my friend's pedicure. Still no water. At least 10 minutes pass before I ask her if she could fill my water. She said another technician would be taking care of me. I said I understood that, but while I was waiting for him or her, could she fill my foot bath? She repeated that another technician would be working on me, gestured at my friend, and said she was working on her. My friend said she wouldn't mind if she took a moment to fill my water, but she still shook her head. She did, however, turn around to call to another technician who was with another client. He came over several minutes later to fill my water and then went back to the other client. The water overfilled because no one was paying attention to it. Then he came back with a pitcher & started bailing the water out. I suspect the pitcher hadn't been washed since its last use, and not only was it in my water, but he also scraped it across my feet (because I wasn't told to remove my feet). It was weird & unpleasant. By the time the air jets were turned on in my foot bath, my friend had already had her massage & nearly all her toenails were painted. Needless to say, she was finished way before me. And my massage chair stopped working. Sad. The pedicure itself was excellent, once it finally started. I was very pleased with it all, including the massage. The biggest problem, though, and the one that leads me to never want to return to this salon, was the horrendous manicure. Midway through my pedicure, someone asked the technician if I'd be getting a manicure. He said "no, just toes." At that point I nearly lost it. My wedding was the following day -- they knew that -- and it was incredibly crowded and I knew then & there that my manicure would be rushed. I was really glad that I had brought my own polish (OPI Thrill of Brazil, a very dark & noticeable red) just in case of the possibility of chips.Rushed is an understatement. Another technician came & stood beside me while I was getting my pedicure and started to file my nails. She did my arm massage, with one of my arms stretched across my body because she couldn't (or wouldn't) move to the other side of the chair. When she started to buff my nails, I once again explained that I was getting married the following day & wanted nice nails. So she told me I could just come to her table when my pedicure was finished. She rushed through everything. I had 2 rough-to-the-touch nails that I knew would chip quickly. I was right. I had to touch them up before the wedding. Over $60 for pretty toenails, an unpleasant experience, and an awful manicure. This place is amazing it has been almost 6 years since the last time I got my nails done. I am very pleased to say it was worth the wait I am so pleased  with the service I received. Awesome selection of colors and designs. I've been to lots of nail salons and I must say that this one has the most selection of colors. The staff was very friendly and funny. I got a gel nail manicure and it lasted until my nails grew out. I was impressed. I felt rushed though because they were understaffed that day due to someone vacation. The people there seemed generally friendly and it was clean (though the bathroom, while clean, felt dated and slightly dingy) but the gal who did my nails was very closed down and rushed. Read Less

I am a huge fan of "G" he maintains my pink and white nails. It's often easier to make an appointment but he's worth the wait if you walk in as well. He's funny and he sings and he answers all my questions. I've been a loyal customer since moving here 9 months ago! Go see G! He rocks! Read Less

This place used to be one of my favorite nail salons in town but the last visit made me feel underwhelmed. I ordered the deluxe pedicure with the hot oil, hot stones and 20 minute massage. I had jeans on, but pulled up to my knees, the oil from the "massage" got all over my jeans. As for the massage, it really was just her rubbing her hands up and down my legs with NO pressure what so ever. The color selection is pretty good. However, the lady doing my pedicure complained that I had glitter polish on and she had to take it off. And then she complained that I wanted glitter polish put on because it is so difficult to take off. Over all, it wasn't the worst experience, but I have had better. I usually go somewhere else but my nail tech left so I thought I'd try this place because it had ratings.  Worst experience ever! I'm sure there are good techs there but the guy I had left a very bad impression on my first visit.  In fact the pedicure went fine but I also got a manicure which I said I needed them cut down some but not too short where my nail was below my finger tips.  As he made the cut it was done and I just let him continue I know they'll grow back.  The issue I had was when I was drying and I accidentally tapped my big toe under the dryer.  When I finally got his attention as he was setting up for another customer, I showed him my nail.  At that point he threw his basket of tools down on the floor in front of the other customer and I heard a few unprofessional words uttered (F*** and D*** It) he went to find the color and brought back the wrong one, and continued to show an attitude as he brought back 3 colors the next time.  At this point I'm not taking his attitude and said I'd do it myself and he can take care of the next person....nope he raised his Boise and demanded I put my foot on the chair next to me.  I'll never go here again! Lavish Nails is the best and ONLY place I will go in Lexington and I am super picky about my nail shops! Not only are they fast, affordable, and skilled artists, they are always accommodating and never turn you away or make you wait long. If you pay $20+ cash for your service(s) they offer a punch card where you get $15 off your 7th stamp :) Love love love Lavish and the wonderful people that work there! Highly recommend this salon! Awesome. This was my 3nd visit for SNS. I wanted to give them a full review so I waited until I came back in for a "fill in" and a pedicure. First, anyone interested in SNS should know up front they don't actually fill them in like acrylic or some gels. They soak them off completely and do a new full set. Which I really like. My nails in the photo are natural with #137 SNS and a gel top coat. Very happy with them. Last time I was in I also got a pedicure (citrus, I think) The shop is clean and comfortable. My pedicure lasted a reasonably long time considering it's winter so I'm always in boots. Their prices are very fair. $35 for SNS over natural nails. I've had it quoted as high as $60 here in Lexington. Will definitely be back to Lavish! Read Less

The best in town! I'm never disappointed when I come here--which is often. You are always greeted with friendly service and while they are always busy they accommodate you in a quick manner. They have TONS of colors to choose from in regular polish and gel. The main reason I keep coming back is because of their attention to detail and their commitment to perfection. I never feel like I'm just another customer or that I'm being rushed to get the next person in the chair. Every tech I've used takes lots of care and precision in their work. Everyone in this place was so polite and gentle, they tried to talk with my friend and I and we had a great experience. We both got gel manicures and they've lasted 20 days almost. Staff is always very friendly, professional when I come. This place has always done an excellent job on my toes- they never crack or peel before 2 weeks(I ALWAYS use OPI nail polish, btw) and I hike.....a lot! I've gone on week cruises where my feet have been subjected to water everyday-no peeling. So it holds up pretty well. Very impressed that every time I come, it doesn't matter who does my feet, they do an excellent job of covering my ENTIRE nail, and making sure no spots are left unpainted, and that paint is smooth.I love coming here after I've had a massage next door at Massage Envy. This nail salon was very classy, a huge selection of colors in gel and SNS nails, and they have a chart to choose what nail shape you would like so there's no confusion as to what you want. I got a full set of nails (I opted for the glue on length since my natural nails are short. This costs $5 extra) and I asked for the coffin nail shape which is also $5 extra. Although I thought that's silly coffin shape would be an extra charge but other nails salons do this as well. All of the SNS colors seems to have some sort of shimmer to it which is nice if you like that. The process of SNS is a little different too, a bonding paint goes on and then your nails are dipped in a color powder. This is done about 3 times and then a final UV sealing coat. I'm happy with the results but will get pricey over time. SNS nails must be removed and then a new set put on each time. Next time I'll do gel full set as you can do fill in options. I think my nails are gorgeous though. It was my first time getting coffin shaped nails so I will opt for a skinnier top. The tech asked if I wanted skinnier but I thought it was enough. The people here are so talented and know how to do nails that no other shop can. My nails are a oddly shaped and anywhere else I go always make them crooked. I've definitely found my new regular nail salon in Lexington. Definitely one of the best pedicures I've ever had! My nail technician was incredibly gentle fixing up my nails, and did a wonderful job with the scrubs and massage. I got the milk and honey pedicure! It left my skin feeling so soft and refreshed. The massage lasts a long time (15 minutes, I believe) and is just so relaxing. I got my nails painted a baby blue color, which came out perfect! I'm so happy with how my technician painted them. I even messed one up while waiting for it to dry, and he happily fixed it right up, no problem! I plan to come back here anytime I need to get my nails done, and I recommend that you do too! I've been to multiple nail salons in Lexington and this place by far has been the friendliest and most accommodating. definitely worth the drive all the way across town for me. I think my nail technician's name was Dee. Very polite and friendly staff. Such a perfectionist too. I made an appointment  on a Thursday afternoon just in case they were busy and they were when I got there. I opted for the SNS this time instead of gel. I'm so glad I did! they look perfect! I heard about this place from a friend who told me about the SNS nails. I absolutely love how my nails look and feel more natural than the heavily painted on acrylics. Also, this is the first time I didn't have to reshape my nails when I got home. There are photos of the different shapes so there's no misunderstanding of the preferred shape. My mom and I had a great experience this morning. We went shortly after they opened. We got right in for 2 pedicures and we were not disappointed.  My mom does not like polish, and NEVER gets pedis, so she just enjoys the grooming and massage.  I got beautiful French tips on mine, and my feet looked pretty rough before I came in.  They both took their time making sure our feet were buffed, smoothed, trimmed and polished. They did not skimp on the massage, they even used hot stones and wrapped our legs in hot towels.  Their prices are comparable to the little hole in the wall, neighborhood salons that are usually cheap but skimpy, but Lavish is much better.  I'll definitely be back, I'm happy to pay an extra $5 or so for good service and a clean salon. I finally found a nail place in Hamburg that I love! After having horror story like experiences at both Top Nail and Nail Envogue, I'd almost given up on getting my nails done in the Hamburg area. I was in the area and had heard about this new place, just beside Tom Chee. The owner of this shop used to own the ever so popular Neva Nails on the Northside of town. It wasn't incredibly busy for a Saturday. I was in and out in maybe an hour or less. I only got gel polish and there were so many colors to choose from. I took a picture of just a few of the splotch samples. There were literally over 500 GEL colors to choose from. Seriously! Where else can you find that many to choose from?!I didn't catch the name of the lady who did my nails, but she was incredibly sweet and did an amazingly thorough job. Three coats of color, and a trim exactly how I requested... I left a happy customer. The place is clean, ritzy and gorgeous. I don't mind paying a bit more here, because of the presentation, the cleanliness, the many choices and for the prime location. Oh, and not to mention the amazing nail tech. I'll be back. Read Less
