I have been with my stylist Michelle for years and Dry Art Blowdry Bar is by far my favorite place she has been. Located in a renovated garage, the salon has a loft feel and is very open; yet at the same time there are separate spaces. Even when all of the stylists are working, it does not feel crowded. The salon offers many services including blowouts for special occasions (Keeneland,  Derby, Prom, weddings). it is also possible to reserve the space for a bridal party or girls night out.  Makeup application (Heather is fantastic with eyelashes) and updos are also available. I came the first time for a blowout and was able to get in with Jordan. She did a wonderful job on the blowout and we got to talking about color for my hair. I ended up scheduling an appointment for a balayage with her and I LOVE IT. She did a wonderful job, my hair has never felt so soft and healthy. I will definitely be back to see her. Went for a small updhe my daughter getting a pony tail, mine was suppose to be a low bun updue, no flat iron or any iron, hers was ok mine was awful pins showing fell out on the way home, 45.00 each mine took about 10 minutes hers was about 20, biggest waste of money! I used DryArt for my wedding day hair and makeup, for myself, my bridesmaids, and my mother (she is also a regular client). I could not have imagined anything better! It was fun, casual, and the hair and makeup for all of us turned out absolutely perfectly. I schedule an appointment with Dry Art for a blowdry every time I am in Lexington.  The salon is clean and beautiful and the staff is friendly and professional, not to mention, I receive a perfect blowout that lasts a few days while traveling.  The product lines carried here are unique to Blow Art.  I believe all products are organic including the hair color.  The prices are fair, too.  Much more pleasant than going to a chain wash and dry.  Always a pleasure at Dry Art. This is such a great place to get your hair done! I'm a complete sucker for "the pony club" - $20 for a braid or ponytail. Come with your hair prewashed (or, for best results, that "next day dirty" that makes the style hold) and let the stylists work their magic! I absolutely LOVE Dry Art! After my husband and I moved to Lexington, I had to find a new hair salon... a process that's, in my opinion, painstaking and difficult. Luckily I heard about a new blow out bar opening up and decided to try it. Best decision ever! The owner, Sharla, is the sweetest southern girl you'll ever meet and she does a fantastic job on making you look and feel beautiful. This place is great! I recently moved back to town, and while on a visit to house hunt and job interview, I realized I forgot my hair dryer. I was able to get a quick appointment here. I got a great blowout, and also recently got a cut and highlights. All services were with Amanda, she's great. She really focuses on making sure your hair stays healthy, and their products smell amazing. And if you come with your hair already washed, it's only $25 for a blowout- ask for a 'sprint'! Read Less

I really dont write reviews but I really think this Salon deserved it... I just went in for a bang trim (for the 2nd time with Randal) and while waiting for my stylist I saw awesome blowouts done on other clients. I lived in NY/NJ all my life and moved here about a year ago and found it really tough to find a good salon in Lexington...I've gotten my blowouts from various salons in Lex and it never looked as good as these clients. This was my first experience at Dry Art.   I had won a service at a SKIRT party.  As the name implies, they do cut your hair dry, a relatively new concept for me, then wash and blow-dry afterwards.  The salon is minimal in design.  It was gloriously quiet, perhaps due to an early morning mid-week appointment.  What a great haircut Randall gave me!   Dry Art is my hair's new best friend! Sharla Hill is the owner and founder of this quality establishment. I have been enjoying her creative dry haircuts for about a year now and I only wish I had found her sooner! Sharla decorates her life with love and her styles/haircuts exemplify this. My hair always falls perfectly with minimal styling after Sharla's through. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone! If you're looking for some pampering, Dry Art does not disappoint. I went in for a cut, color, and makeup application to make myself look and feel beautiful before a big night out. From the moment I walked in the door I was so impressed with the overall feel of this place.  Everyone was so friendly and I loved the modern chic decor!  The blow dry bar is reminiscent of a bigger city, but the customer service is small town southern hospitality at its finest.
