Came in with my friend and asked for just a regular pedicure. Had a nice enough time until we got to the register and for them to have charged us $55 dollars a piece. FOR A PEDICURE! I was very confused and asked why it was so high, the gentleman there told us they did a delux spa pedicure, which we DID NOT ask for, then on top of it. Charged an extra $20 upcharge for gel nail polish...i have never been charged more than 10 dollars extra before. I was beyond baffled. Told them the price was outrageous and that we didn't ask for that package and they said oh well thats what we did you owe us $55. I felt scammed and trapped. After I left I looked at my toes and the guy left a huge gap between my toe nails and cuticle as well as the sides of my toenails. So it was super expensive and deffinatelynot worth it. I’m not going to lie, the first time I got my fullset acrylics, I left unhappy because of my nails being uneven. However I decided to try again a second time and I left extremely pleased with my nails. He did my nails even and they have lasted more than 2 weeks! I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody. Only gave one star cause I can't give zero. The woman rushed while doing my nails. She made it hurt pretty bad and I had to tell her three different times what she was doing wrong. They also charge more than other places. I will be going back to 5 star nails. Read Less

I genuinely wouldn't even consider this place to be my last resort nail salon. I've been here a few times and somehow they manage to disappoint every single time. I never knew it was possible to shape nails so poorly that each one is practically a different shape on its own. Not to mention, they can hardly even paint the nails themselves. The polish always looks clumpy and horribly done each time I leave. The last thing I want to have to do is go home and replant my own acrylics after paying someone else to do them for me. Anyone who is leaving a 1 star review is nuts. I've been coming here exclusively since we moved to Georgetown in 2014 and I love it. They know me by name, almost always do a perfect job, and are friendly to boot. The prices are average for the area and Sam always seems to be innovating in some way to add value for his customers. I went in to have a manicure, and have my Nails painted with a french tip. She cut off my long nails, to very short. She painted them and did a french tip paint. She said it would last a week. Not even 24 hrs later the white paint had chipped off several of my nails, just from taking a shower. When I went back in the next day they said they would paint them, but I didn't have time as I was leaving out of the country. I asked if they would give me a refund, or a gift certificate so i could get them repainted when I got back. They said "nope". I'm very dissatisfied that they didn't stand behind their work. Ok, I guess I've gotten spoiled going to Lexington.I was a walk in customer. I should have turned right around when I saw the state of the salon.  It looks nothing like the pictures! Everything was untidy and messy. The man that did my nails pulled the bits for the dremel tool from the sanitizer, but now I realize I think it was just stored in there, not actually used for sanitizing.I told the woman I wanted SNS nails, she said no problem and directed me to choose the nail color I wanted. Other nail salons I've been to are more than helpful in helping you choose colors, finishes. This lady was not. Even when I asked her for a color similar to the one I was wearing she said it was in there somewhere.Now, the guy that did my nails seemed very sweet, but I don't think he knew what he was doing. He used the Dremel tool for everything! Twice he chipped into my thumbnail, shortening it by half. I have small scabs along my cuticle area because he tried to use the dremel to take them off rather than clippers! Several times I jerked back in pain but he kept going.The actual shellac job is uneven and rough, and there is color on my fingers.  If my fingers weren't so sore I would be going to my regular salon for an update.He finished the color but I didn't let him do the embellishment. I figured I would be disappointed with it as well. When I went up to pay, I think he felt guilty because he knocked a few dollars off. Great... thanks...I will not be going there again. Want to know how to make a 15 gel polish magically become a 45 minute manicure?  Read on!I called ahead and spoke to a man to see if I could walk-in immediately, and was told yes, then further explained that I needed a quick gel polish on my 30 minute lunch break.  I was identified (by the same man) and seated 5 minutes later when I arrived, and the very nice woman got to work, but when she started showing signs of giving a manicure (cuticle softener being the biggest tip-off) I asked her to please stop, and explained I was only there for a polish.  She nodded politely and kept right on going!  Perhaps I should have just stood up and walked out at that point, but having never been to that salon before, I thought maybe they just gave a very thorough polish.  Rookie mistake.  As I'm sweating it out watching the time tick away, she proceeds to give me the BEST gel polish I've ever received in 3 years +/- of doing so, however she files my nails down to nubs.  It takes me a long time to grow nails, so I was not pleased with that, and normally you are asked what length and shape you want.  When I checked out she asked for $30, which I questioned, as I'd asked for a POLISH ($20) not a manicure.  The man piped up and said "No, manicure", to which I replied, "I asked clearly for a polish and was given a manicure."  No response.  Bye-bye $30, and sorry to the skilled woman, but no tip.  I understand there is a language barrier, but I was very clear from the moment I called.
