My best friend and I were looking for a great place to get our nails done and read the reviews and thought we would go out of our way but we were not greeted we signed in our selves and we're told that there would be a wait. . Just moved to the area and decided to try Zen Nails out based on the reviews. They did not disappoint. The man who did my gel fill was fanatic. Easy to talk to. Was very detail oriented and even recommended nail colors for me to try. I ended up going with a "mood" color that changes based on temperature and most of the time they look ombré and it's amazing just as he said they would look. Clean! Professional! Relaxing! Things to know: I watched them over and over again sterilize the pedicure bowls and instruments even though there was a good amount of clients when I was there. Walk ins mostly. So you may wait a bit BUT pedi customers get to wait in the massage chairs and warm water. Really nice friendly staff, but allowed me to relax during my pedi. This place is wonderful! They turned my bad experience at Glamour Nails into a happy one thanks to Zen Nails! I went to Glamour Nails five days prior for nails just like these, same designs except the woman there could not do an Eagle and didn't know how to do Ohio (although I had a picture, long story...), so she did #1 Dad instead. Mark at Zen Nails fixed my broken nail, free of charge, and did a fill in to fix the bubbles in the acrylic nails themselves (from Glamour Nails mess up) and did this beautiful paint job! Not once did he complain about my design ideas and didn't mock me for wanting what I wanted. This was a very important design because it was to honor my father who passed away recently, so it meant a lot to me even if others thought it was stupid. They are SO nice here and were very helpful. I went in with the idea that I was going to need another full-set but they saved me money AND made it look PERFECT. Could not thank them enough for saving my previous nightmare looking nails. I've been here 3 times now and I really like the place. I moved to the area from out of state in November last year and having a hard time zeroing on a good nail place. I decided to go here after reading their reviews and I was not disappointed. Tiffany did my pedicure the first time I went here and she did an awesome job. Since then, I've been back for another pedicure and manicures+gel nail paint from one of the guys and everything was good. Their place seems clean and hygienic. There's 2 girls and 3 guys working in there usually and they all seem pleasant. The second time I was there, I ended up waiting for an hour for my pedicure, however they'd put me in a chair and had my feet soaking, so I wasn't too upset because I just enjoyed the massage chair! They don't take reservations on Fridays and Saturdays so be prepared. This is definitely my go-to place here. Read Less

I had medi-pedi with a full set of French acrylics. Jimmy did both. The pedicure was good no complaints there and jimmy is very nice guy. The reason for my one star is the manicure, it's only been three days and it looks like they will already need a fill and that makes me so angry. I also could tell he was doing it wrong compared to everyone one else. It was a very thin layer he put on. It was a very crappy manicure overall. He didn't soak my hands or put lotion on them or do a hand massage and when done my fingertips had crusty glue all over them. Worst manicure ever had. I would not visit again nor recommend a friend. I have gone here once in November and do not plan to return unless I only need them painted by Mark and only him. I needed a full set for the first time after letting my nails grow without anything on them and this was a bad decision on salon for me. The woman who started my set cut my finger with the electric file (and swore to Mark she didn't), dented my natural nail near the cuticle because of filing down so far (almost all fingers STILL have a line of damage at the end of February), and painted my nails so badly when Mark went to put a design he removed all polish, filed, and reshaped my nails before doing anything. This is the only review I have left on yelp but I feel it's necessary for people considering this salon to know what can happen. Read Less

I Just started getting gel manicures and went here based on convenience. They did a great job. I went to another place based on convenience when it was time for a change and it really highlighted how great this place is. Came back for another great manicure and it will be my spot from now on. Ok had been looking to change Salons due to the fact I didn't like spending every Saturday waiting half day for the guy I had been going too. So looked for something closer to home via Yelp and picked Zen Nails and I'm so glad I did. For over two years I've been fearful in finding someone as good as Dante at Nice Nails in Independence. The young man who is owner with his fiance was my nail tech and I'm ecstatic with the quality of work he did. Meh underwhelmed once again. I think all of the nails shops will be hating me soon. But seriously why is it so hard to find a nails shop in this area?I went to zen salon based off of the pictures j saw on Instagram and Facebook. There were two women working there and a man. Of course I got the man. I ran into this tech last year when he was working at  UV spa nails. I had him removed a set of nails and he was too impatient to soak them so he took them off with a nail tip. Damaged nails. So when I saw him working here I was hesitant to let him touch my nails. Well I should have listened to my guy instinct. Another boring under sculpted set of nails. Literally cut the nail tips, glue them on, apply thin layer of acrylic and your done! The results screamed basic b****. And I shoulda of been drinking a vanilla latte. Zero curve zero sculpting. Needless to say I didn't even let him paint them. I bounced. She was super sweet and engaged with my 3 year old the whole time. I was greeted the second I walked in the door and sat for my pedicure immediately. After I was done my daughter asked for her toes to be painted. The girl quickly went to help another customer waiting already for a quick fix then promptly came back and painted Amelia's even added glitter. The gentleman who did my nails asked about the technique previously used on my nails, then adapted his own style for the look I wanted. They are truly artists who enjoy their work. Highly recommend. Nail salons, they're everywhere! So why come to Zen? Because if you see nails you love on Pinterest or Facebook, they can do it. If you want the latest, greatest colors.... They have them. Lianna and Mark are so pleasant and friendly. I feel comfortable, like I'm among friends when I'm at Zen. I would say everyone should come to Zen for their nails but then it would be too crowded and I couldn't get in  so only come here if you want your nails to look great, have a pleasant conversation, and not have to wonder what they're saying about you in a foreign language (you know how that works at other salons) Read Less

LOVE this nail salon. In fact, the best I've ever been to. They did an amazing job for my shellac mani and pedi. They don't charge extra for white french tip and the owners who work there are so sweet and definitely takes care of their customers well. They provide their customers with water and snacks while waiting and if you get a pedicure, they give you a small take home kit to take care of your feet. Read Less
