First, I have to mention this is the first time I've ever had a manicure so I don't have anything to compare it to. However, if this is what most salon experiences are like, I don't understand why anyone goes back. The woman who did my nails was very friendly and talkative the entire time. She started out as very complimentary to the care that I have done with my nails (I manicure my own nails on a weekly basis and I had purposely grown them out for a wedding I was in), but when she found out that this was my first manicure, she started to push getting a gel/shellac manicure hard core. I've done gel at home and I just don't particularly care for it so I told her I just wanted a regular manicure. She repeatedly tried to push it, but I just wasn't interested. I felt like she then wanted to get me out of the chair as quickly as possible. When she shaped my nails, a crack happened in one of the edges. Also, the polish was super thick and didn't apply smoothly at all with clear streak marks on various nails as well as polish on my skin. I wasn't set on the color so I would have rather been told to select another color instead. It also didn't match the bottle at all- bottle was a light mauve, but applied as a bright coral. The polish smudged within minutes and I ended up stopping at Ulta to get some polish that I could throw on before going to the rehearsal dinner. Once the wedding ended, I clipped my nails off due to the breakage that was caused. I wouldn't return to this salon because I feel like I do a significantly better job at home- which involves zero sales pitches and lots of Netflix. I'm sure that it is possible to have a good experience here, but it just wasn't the case for me. If I do go to another salon, I'll be sure to bring my own polish as well. This was the worst $25 I've ever spent since it lasted all of 10 minutes and, since I was traveling from out of town, I had to spend another $25 on supplies (polish, nail polish remover, cotton pads, nail clippers, and nail file) to make myself presentable for being in a wedding. Normally, I have these things on hand, but I didn't pack it since I was getting a "professional" manicure. Read Less
