This spa and salon is a amazing! From the moment you walk in you feel welcomed and at ease. Ashley is an absolute professional! Beau Monde is my go to place for facials, haircuts, massages, and pedis. It's a great place for gift cards and teachers presents. I request gift cards for Mother's Day, Christmas and my birthday. Massage was great. Had an Express Facial with dermaplaning. The girl (who was very nice) doing the facial was wearing rubber gloves (I've had several facials and never had anyone wear gloves), I thought it was weird but figured it was something new they had to do. The gloves made it hard to relax because it felt more like a medical procedure and during the scalp hot oil treatment it was really uncomfortable! I have had several dermaplanings, none from here, this morning (the day after) I noticed I had a scrape/cut that was starting to scab over. I have never had that issue before. I went in for a pedicure (East location) with Jenny and she did such a good job. Even more important, she made me feel so welcome and comfortable. I had never had a pedicure before, but needed one because limited mobility from a handicap has made it nearly impossible to do my own toenails these days. Last Saturday I had a Lymphatic Hydrafacial with Krista D. at Beau Monde. I have been suffering from all the crazy allergies that have been wreaking havoc on many of us and my eyes were so puffy and I had a lot of stuffiness in my sinuses. The Lymphatic drainage part of the facial was very cool and really helped with the eye swelling and stuffiness I was having. Krista also answered questions I had during the facial about the steps. I found that very helpful; curious minds want to know, right!? The pampering part of the facial after the Lymphatic Drainage was super dreamy. I desperately needed a massage from old age and stresses of wife. I mean life. autocorrect. I wrapped up work way early and decided to find a spot to hang out. I needed a place with free wifi and someone to work out the knots in my back. Not only was Beau Monde able to accommodate me today, but I happened to book my appointment during "off peak hours" and received a substantial discount! I got there 1.5 hours early. Sierra greeted me with a pearly white smile and showed me the facility. It was very zen; clean everything and spa-y music. She showed me the Men's locker, which to be honest, was small, but it was all mine. I took and shower and took advantage of the the minty body wash and shampoo! I could tell this place was more catered to women, since it smelled really nice and I was the only male in the building. I dumb ass self sat in the men's locker bench the whole 1.5 hours thinking it was the "lounge". I was sorely disappointed when my masseuse, Dawn, came to get me and walked me pass the actual lounge with sofas and magazines. That's how nice the lockers are. Dawn is a fantastic masseuse. She might be petite, but she is super strong with freakishly soft hands. Very, very professional too. I dozed off 3-4 times, but only woke up because I snored too loud. I was a little embarrassed, but there was no snickering or jeering. After the massage, Dawn let me know to take my time and come out when I was ready. I rolled off of the table, got dress, and was greeted by Dawn was a big smile and an ice cold glass of cucumber water. My only request is to have a couple large bath towels in the actual shower area. I had to make a mad dash from the shower to locker area to grab a towel. Thankfully, no one was around. Overall, if I lived in Wichita, I would definitely make this my go-to massage joint. I can appreciate their techniques and concept but the last two times I got my eyebrows done here they didn't do such a good job, but it was the same lady they gave me each time. I love their signature facial. Pattie was my esthetician and I was thoroughly pampered I didn't want to leave! I also appreciate that she is aggressive with extractions. Most places are scared to extract--I paid good money to get my face cleaned! The hand, shoulder/neck massage were all heavenly and leaves my skin super soft for days. The price is a little steep ($89 for signature and Yonka facial), but they do use higher end products than other spa in the area. They also sell products/jewelry/home decors at the common area.
