I absolutely hate this place I would not recommend it to anyone. I've been there several times and have had a bad experience every time. Lady was doing my nails and was on the phone the whole time she bumped my nails and messed them up and got mad at me when she had to fix them. I told them I wanted coffin shape and they gave me almond shape when I corrected them they said oh it makes your nails look better anyway. I've given them chance after chance, thinking it was just cultural differences. Nope. They're just rude and don't care about quality service. They don't cure the acrylic and rush through the process. My nails bubbled and chipped. I went to have them fixed. They fixed it, grumbled about me in Vietnamese the whole time, and did a crappy job on the fix. And then she tried to blame it on me. I give this place no stars if I could, WORST NAIL SHOP I HAVE EVER BEEN TO IN TOPEKA! They literally rush you out of the store, I've never got a full set that took less than 20 minutes. My nails were bumpy, not shaped the way I wanted them. I asked the lady to sharpen my nails a bit because she gave me a rounded look when I specifically wanted square and she tried to fight me on it. She also kept pressuring me to get shellac or gel when I repeatedly told her no. Very annoying. Will never go back to this shop and I don't advise anyone to go back either. I went here on 6/26 after a long week and a long friday at work in an effort to relax. Well, my visit was anything but. First, I had to wait at least a half hour to be serviced. But seeing as it was 4pm on a Friday and I was a walk in, that was ok. When I sat down, the young cute girl that started with me wrapped my nails in polish remover and foil and then left to go service another customer with a pedi. I sat there. And sat there. And sat there. About 20 mins later I realized she wasn't coming back. The woman at the desk next to me asked me to sit at her table and continued the job. This is where it went from mildly annoying to inexcusable. This new woman proceeded to remove the foils and scrape off the old polish. She also scraped off a sizable chunk of my nail and left the raw meat exposed. I could see blood too. But the worst part is, she saw what she had done and didn't even say anything. I would've appreciated some show of remorse or a reduced price for my manicure. But no. She just continued like she hadn't just maimed me. Well as if that wasn't bad enough, there's more added insult. I had come in for a manicure but half way through my service this woman said. Oh you don't need a manicure, I'll just change your polish color. It was obvious she did this because there were several other people waiting and she didn't want to spend any more time with me. And to top it off, I had picked out the color I wanted, and this woman went and got another color, put that on and then put my color on top....... I knew what my color looked like. And I wanted that one, not some other color!!! In an effort to get out of there as fast as possible I actually paid this woman!!!!!! I regret that now. It's safe to say that I won't ever be back and I highly recommend anyone to think twice about going here, unless you want to be hurt, insulted and not even get the service or color requested. I used to refuse to go anywhere else but Charm Nails to get my nails done but the past few years they have hired a lot of new people that have no idea what they are doing. Most of them try to get the nails done as fast as possible creating crooked nails and a painful nail experience.  I wanted a simple cheetah print nail design and they drew circles. And not to mention the WHOLE staff is incredibly rude. They are always on the phone or talking to other workers in a different language and never pays attention to the customer. The last time I came in the only thing they said to me was "what do you want" "go wash your hands". They don't know how to treat a customer to make them come back and I know I never will.
