I found Bella and Lindsay by way of my regular stylist not being available. I'm SO glad I did. That was 6 years ago!!! She has since become like family! Lindsay is a fantastic nail tech doing sculptured acrylic nails, CND schellac, and hair. Bella is a friendly, fun and relaxing environment. I look forward to my appointments. I've been going to Bella for almost two years and Lenai is great. She always gives great cuts, highlights, waxing and gives me styling tips. A friend of mine went to Lenai at Bella Salon and Day Spa this week and she ruined her hair. Awful dye job, uneven cut, and terrible choppy layers. The appointment took 4 hours (which could be forgiven if the results were even semi good). She was offered a drink upon arriving, but didn't receive until 3.5 hours in. While shampooing, the stylist sprayed her directly in her face, and at the end Lenai asked, "Can I only blow-dry it halfway? I have to get home." It cost her $140 ...for this disgrace. The repair work, done by Moxy Hair Studio, only took an hour and 20 minutes and was only $120. She finally got her money back from the fucked up cut and color 3 days later, and the stylist changed the time and location 3 times before finally meeting her, walked in, threw the money in her hands and walked away. Beware of this salon.... watch your clothing! And warning: at least one stylist uses dirty scissors to cut your hair! I know, I watched her use them on mine. Yikes! Yes, I arrived home from this place, after paying to have my hair cut and colored, only to find my new shorts had bleach on the back side! When I contacted the owner thru their website, she referred the issue to the stylist. Although both apologized initially and the stylist said she would refund the cost to replace my shorts (approx. $46), they lied. I have received nothing. To make matters worse, I had to go to another salon, Tia at Regis, to fix the choppy haircut and uneven hair color job! Others should be cautioned before going there. They were nice initially; however, they do not stand by their word and practice poor salon cleanliness. Shame on them! Read Less

I tried this place as a new professional to the Topeka area. Nice people; I believe some could use additional hair training in cuts and color technique. A few really could benefit from additional classes on salon "cleanliness and protocols." I say this after having paid for a cut and color, returning home that evening, and discovering that my newly purchased khaki shorts had hair color on the backside of them!! After contacting the salon immediately, at first the salon owner, and subsequent hairstylist both apologized and offered to do the "right thing" and compensate me for at least the shorts. A week later, though, much to my surprise, and disappointment, the ownership and stylist have not refunded my cost for the shorts ($46) or the cost of the hair services which I am now in the process of "correcting" at another salon in Topeka -- the layers were uneven and the color was not evenly distributed. On the salon hygiene issue, my former stylist escorted me to her station with her prior client's blonde hair still in her scissor's! Yuck. Not sanitary. When she started to pick them up to cut my hair, I finally said something. The owner, when notified of my stained shorts, did apologize initially, and then made an excuse about her salon having black chairs! Hello? Most all hair salons have the same color; stylists must learn to clean up hair immediately after cutting hair and coloring. It's common sense in that industry. The good news? I have found much, much better service and hair talent in Topeka right on Wanamaker! So happy and feel thrilled. This salon is spotlessly clean, the stylist is a former Educator and really knows her "cosmetology stuff. What's great is I can now relax, as I have in the past, knowing my clothes will be fine!
