Besides the fact that I felt very rushed (when they weren't even overly busy) and their shellac manicure is more expensive than a lot of places I've been to, I am actually pretty pleased with this place. Finally! A place I really trust to get a good manicure and pedicure. Technicians are very friendly and have kept to the appointment times I have made. Nothing makes me more frustrated than waiting 30 minutes after my appointment to get started and that has never happened here. Nice place and the people/manicurist are very personable and truly care about about the work they do. My last manicurist did my nails poorly and I got water underneath 2 of my nails. They were turning green. The manicurist at Natural nails saw it right away and removed the nails and replaced them with new ones. I really appreciated that. I've been going to Natural Nails since I was in middle school although its not my go to place anymore I've always been impressed with this salon. I was in desperate need of a gel manicure and booked an appointment here. What I've always appreciated about this salon is that they accommodate walk in appointments and the wait is never super long (but an appointment is always good too). The polish selection (very important to me) was very thorough with O.P.I.'s new Fiji Collection. I'm not a big fan of how their gel polish is spread out half O.P.I. on the left of the store and another half on the right. I know nail polish by the name rather than the swatch so I'd rather the swatches had the names on them as well. Overall my manicure was quick and looks great. Personally I don't think they used enough builder on my nails but for $26 I am very pleased with my nails! Went there for mother day weekend!!! We got a super quick appointment ( one thing I like --don't like appointments) she got us in right away. We chose green tea, aloe Vera and kids pedicure .She gave an awesome massage while doing the pedicure. Also we changed the color, requested designs and she did them for us!!! I have gotten gel manicures at this location twice so far. I didn't have an appointment and was a walk in both times and I was still seated really quickly. The first time I came my nails turned out great and the polish lasted almost a full two weeks, but I felt really, really rushed through the process. As in, when I reached down to grab my purse after we were done, the nail tech grabbed my coat and my hand and pulled me towards the front door. It was super awkward and I wasn't really sure how to respond. Start to finish on the first manicure, I was there for a total of 22 minutes. The second time I came here, I got a different nail tech and she took her time and did a good job on my nails and I didn't feel rushed at all. Overall, my nails were good both times, so I'm willing to keep giving this place another shot and look past my first visit.The salon is clean and bright and the tools are new. Prices are fair, but do be aware that the prefer that you pay in cash and if you pay with a credit card you have to tip in cash. Read Less

I got the athletic pedicure, which includes the aloe treatment and sea salt scrub massage. The nail tech did a great job on my feet... They were in pretty bad shape!! The salon is clean and prices are fair, great selection in gel colors. Mostly everyone is pretty good here. Mani's/pedi's options are great. The owners are always there and closely supervise to make sure customers are taken care of. I would NOT wax here. To improve they need to clean, not double dip wax, brighten and sanitize that area of the salon. Then I would reconsider as it would be so convenient. Overall, good place and people. Read Less

Had a mani pedi yesterday and while checking out was told it was $5 more than I'd expected so when I asked what that extra five dollars was for she told me it was for the shellac removal from my toenails, however she simply pulled off all of my shellac, didn't even soak them off!!!! It took her 10 seconds to pull them all off. I questioned it and said wow I could've just peeled it off by myself. I didn't need you to do that and the other woman working there spoke up and said they should've been soaked off, it will ruin your natural nails if you pull them off. I said yes I understand that but that's what she did! And pointed at the woman. I said twice I didn't think I should be charged for that but they charged me anyway and didn't apologize!!!! Ripping off someone's shellac doesn't count as a "soak off" as listed on your price board!!!! My sister got charged $5 for what she thought was going to be extra heel exfoliation but actually just ended up being cucumber scented lotion!!! No extra scrubbing. We won't be returning. Anne did an awesome job making something out of nothing (I'm a terrible nail biter!), she made my stubby little  hands look lovely and my fingernails don't feel all tight and gluey like I've experienced with other salon jobs. This is my favorite nail salon of all! Appointment or Walk In they have always gotten me to a chair quickly (even when busy) and been more than pleasant to work with. They have several options, they provide great services, and everything is done at a fair price. They do prefer cash, but will take cards. I like how they will talk with you and joke (if you are willing) and they always remember repeat customers. The best part is if you get a pedicure and manicure they also give you a 10 minute shoulder massage while you sit, which feels amazing! I now do shellac, but prior when I would get a normal polish if I ever had any issues with chipping the day after I went in and they repainted the nail for me for free. I also had my pre-wedding pamper party in there they were MORE than accommodating they allowed us to bring in snacks and they had a table set up for us to put everything on. I wish you could give half stars because I would give Natural Nails 4.5 if possible...this is the most consistent nail salon in Overland Park by far, I've had a few experiences where my Shellac chipped shortly after I got them done or where I had to wait after making an appointment, but this happens most places and it's a much worse experience.  The facilities are always clean.  Every nail tech cares about their customers and making them happy and are always apologetic if there's a wait! Came in treat myself to a birthday shellac mani/spa pedi. It's a very clean place, with lots of nail technicians available. The place was buzzing by noon on a Saturday. I got the ultimate spa pedi, and loved the amount of care that I was given from my calves down. Gentle massaging, and I was always checked in to make sure the scrubbing wasn't too hard, or the water wasn't too hot. Shellac mani was done wonderfully as well. Loved the care that was given to me. They have a billion different pedicure options, awesome massage chairs, different manicure options, and the BEST extra massage options out there. I mean the neck and shoulder massage is wonderful. I like their waxing as well- super cheap and seems to last longer then other places. YES the do try to upsell- but EVERY nail salon I've ever been to tries to upsell. YOU just have to be firm in what you want, and give them a hard pass or spoil yourself. I've had two different types of pedicures, a shellac manicure, lip;chin;brow wax and a regular manicure all were awesome. Some days there is no wait, some days 10 min, only once was it over 15-20 ( day before 4th of July).My only complaint is that not all their shellac colors are painted onto the faux nail boards so you can see what they look like. They are just sitting in bottles which is annoying cause I can't tell what the color will look like. But seriously.....that's it. Give Natural Nails a shot! Read Less

This was my first time here.  Made an appointment and still had to wait 45 minutes.  The best part was that I did get an excellent foot and leg massage. My polish however did not last 24 hours before it started chipping.  I'm not sure if this is because they like to push the gel polish, so they do not take as much care to keep regular polish on longer. I have been going to this nail salon for 4 years now, exclusively. When you find an awesome nail tech you become a customer for life. Mary and Don provide exceptional service and thru the years I notice they treat every guest, every customer with courtesy, kindness, and professionalism. Mary has made custom colors for my nails, custom designs, etc....the whole staff feels like family. I don't need to ever find another salon, no coupon will ever "save" money because the quality just isn't the same.This is the best nail salon in JoCo.  When I lived in TX I would drive the 90 miles to my nail tech- wherever he was I would follow. I feel the same about Mary. Never any lifting, no chips, splitting etc. and she will change her schedule around in a heartbeat to accommodate all her clients. Very talented and 100% quality. Overall my mani-pedi was well done, the nail shaping isn't perfect and the massage chair was a little rough. However the cuticle triming, exfoliating, foot and hand massage, etc which are my superceding goals, were all above average. They have lots of OPI colors to choose from; I was happy with the selection. The place was clean and nice looking, a bit above average for a strip mall nail salon.The downside was the upselling, and for that reason I will try some more places before going back. Somehow my mom ended up with a $40 manicure, when the base price was $15. They were big on pushing the shellac polish with a hefty upcharge, making some fairly ridiculous claims along the way like that without it my polish would be chipped in less than 24 hours.  I think Mom, who has had about 3 professional manicures in her life, believed that line. And my technician asked me if I wanted shellac at least 3 times, which was kind of annoying and felt a bit pressuring. And I feel silly for taking an upsell on a $5 service, which didn't seem to get me anything different than what I would expect in a typical pedicure service.  Other than that I liked the service and staff - they were friendly, professional and took their time. After reading Rosemary's review, I decided to give Natural Nails a shot.  I've recently gotten into French Shellac manicures.  If you have done shellac in the past, you know it needs to be done right or not at all so I was a little nervous.  As soon as I walked in, I was greated by Annie and then a gentleman who started the process of removal of my current shellac/polish.  He was very nice and ..um.. spoke english.  Annie then took over and finished the job.  I've read where salons "scrape" the old shellac off and it's painful.  Not the case with Annie.  She took her time and gently pushed the old off, switching from hand to hand.  Then on to a little buffing and shaping.  I opted to have a "cutical push and snip" instead of a full manicure (It's on their display of prices at each work station.)  Annie then started the layers of shellac polish.  This is where I give "4 stars" instead of "5".  It really does look great but the white portion on about half of my nails looks "wrinkled".  That's the best way I can explain it.  Almost like it got to warm under the lights or something.  It's nothing that is hugely noticable but I'm a bit of a perfectionist.  Everything else looks great though.  She did the lines very well and the shellac looks great on the rest of the nail.  So... very clean establishment, very nice employees and owners, they took me as a walk-in, also does pedicures (didn't have one, but took a look for later...very clean and new seating), English speaking so no question to what you would like and also great to chat a little during the process, reasonable prices (just about the same as the rest) and just overall a great place to relax and get your mani/pedi. I walked into Natural Nails salon a couple of times to receive a manicure/pedicure and have received great service from all the staff!  I met the owner and his wife who are very friendly.  The atmosphere is calming, great massage chairs, and perfect mani/pedis every time.  The polish stayed on great after more than 2 weeks!  I highly recommend this salon!
