I have been getting my nails done for 17 years. I have always gone from salon to salon because I just never really found a place that I thought “Wow, my experience was amazing, the staff was amazing, and my nails lasted longer than any other salon I had ever been to.” There’s just something about this salon that makes you feel 1.) that you are very welcome 2.) that you are getting first-class service and 3.) that this is the place that you will be coming to from now on. My manicures from here last more than 3 weeks without lifting or chipping. I know that sounds unbelievable, but it’s the truth. I had gel manicure by Alynna today. I thought she did a decent job until I got home. Just after a few HOURS, my cuticles are painful, red and swollen. The manicure is already peeling off and i got it done today! I am questioning whether those instruments were really autoclaved, or simply placed in autoclavable bags and just sealed. When I looked at the bag, it looked suspiciously untouched by steam and pressure. The quality of her work is very poor judging by how quickly it’s falling apart. Photos are attached. On a personal note: building a relationship should be an important part of this business. Taking personal calls on a speaker phone while working on a client and shouting in a foreign language is unprofessional. I found my communication with her uncomfortable and forced. He showed me the menu when i walked in and i pointed out the deluxe spa pedicure and he definitely gave me the basic. My polish is smeared around the edges. The top coat is sparkly? Definitely didn't want sparkles. He was the only one there so when someone else came in they had to sit there for at least 15 minutes with their feet im water waiting for him to finish mine, which is why i think mine looked rushed. I think I may have FINALLY found my nail place.  This space is very conveniently located in the heart of Downtown Overland Park.  I was able to walk-in on a Saturday around 2PM and only wait about 15 minutes for my pedicure.... which I was happy to wait for as my feet soaked.  A few folks did come in with appointments (about 4-5) following me, so I will likely plan ahead and call moving forward.The space is clean and doesn't reek of the typical nail salon chemical smell.  She did a good job with my nails and took her time.  I asked if she had time for a gel manicure and she was happy to assist.  They probably have 250 shades alone for a gel manicure with a variety of different brands to select from.Overall pricing seemed very fair.  It was relaxing & efficient - I'll be back! I was welcomed and felt welcomed when I arrived and throughout the whole visit. Not many spas can say that. Rosie provided THE very best pedicure I have had in Indy. I fell asleep! Though many places call themselves a spa, I actually feel this description fits this establishment perfectly. Von explained to me about their use of only organic gel for their customers. It's healthier and no fumes. We improvised on color and design of the picture I had in mind for my nail art wan...ted. Was a little disappointed with the colors available and used, but the quality of the nail work itself was very high quality. I am very, very picky with what I want and like, but roll with the punches because I know I will be switching it up in a few weeks anyway. In my opiniin if you are the type of person who likes designed nail art, It takes a couple of visits with your nail technician to build a rapport and under each other's needs/wants for successful results. Went here with my wedding party and had terrible service. The guy that did my acrylics kept nicking the skin around my nails when using the electric file to sand them, causing one of my fingers to actually bleed because he repeatedly did it. Luxury Nail Lounge is the ONLY place I will get my nails done. I have tried many, many salons and have even purchased my own professional equipment to do my own gel manicures. The work done here is so good I am getting rid of it. My gel polish stays on perfectly for two weeks (sometimes three) and the quality is perfect enough to satisfy my perfectionist taste. I would like to say the bad review that is being shown cannot be legitimate because there are so many untruths and flaws in it. (The prices she talks about are not the correct prices and Peter never does manicures, he manages the salon.) I don't want to get into an argument so I will stop here, but if you are discouraged by the bad review, you can be sure it is bogus. First positive: They're in my neighborhood!Second positive: They can usually accommodate walk-ins very quickly!Third positive: They use fresh tools (from a sealed packet!) for each patron.Fourth positive: Their massage chairs at their pedi stations are just right.They offer a variety of pedicure options and the last time I got a pedi, I picked the one that seemed like it would be the most pampering. I was also getting a gel mani and the nail technician went back and forth between working on my pedi and my mani even having me reach across myself so she could work on both hands on one side of the chair. This made for a not-so relaxing experience, although I paid a pretty steep price for the services. Also, I noticed after I got home that there was a smudge on the nail polish on one of my toes. Fortunately, I bring my own polish for pedis, so I was able to fix it myself. The employees here speak varying levels of English. Some are very personable while others may barely talk to you, but they're all pleasant. The last time I was there, they had a big television on...something that detracts from a relaxing pedicure. Their front door was also broken, so customers had to police the door to ensure it was pushed completely shut.Other than the smudged toenail, manis and pedis I have gotten here have looked great and have lasted a long time. Best.... Pedicure.... Ever! I got the Ultimate Pedicure, and I have never had such a relaxing and soothing pedicure! They did a clay mask, sugar scrub, lotion, hot wax and hot stones each with its own massage. Simply perfection! Excellent and friendly customer service. Worst nail salon experience EVER. I did my research on nail salons in the area, and this one seemed like the best bang for my buck, boy was I wrong!! So many things went wrong I don't know where to begin. I walk in and it's during the World Series and I'm wearing a Royals shirt so they tell me I get 15% off, which I did not get. They put the acrylic on top of my dirty nail, and proclaimed "well manicure $15 extra" when I was already paying $40 for the full gel set. So I asked if I could at least get my cuticles taken care of since they were going to be UNDER the nail. Peter charged me $5 to cut my cuticles, AFTER the nails were finished, and he cut them dry so I started to bleed. He also charged me $15 for gel color when there website says its $5. Oh and guess what?! It hasn't even been the recommended two weeks for a filling and the nails have started to break off!! I live close to this place and decided to give it a try. I was talked into an upgraded, organic pedicure for $50. When the tech, whom I think may have been the owner, was opening the scrub he dropped it on the floor and it exploded all over my new jeans. While he cleaned himself and the floor I had to ask for a wet washcloth to wipe myself off. I expressed my concern that the oil based scrub was going to stain my jeans. He said that it would not. Upon several soakings, stain treatments and scrubbing I have lightened the stains but wont ever be able to remove them completely. The service was mediocre at best and the bright pink polish I chose was so diluted with acetone that its almost transparent on my nails. I will not go back for services at this nail bar again. Not happy! I've been to this salon a number of times and their quality of service has plummeted and it's generally a stressful atmosphere, not a luxury spa retreat. Today, they were not that busy when I was told it may be a half hour before getting a pedicure. Fine... I had no appointment so I decided to wait. Within 10 minutes I was seated and soaked my feet until the water turned cold... 1 HOUR ! Then, I was given the quickest, least- attentive pedicure, 5 minutes flat. And, waited another half hour for a full set for my hands. Seated next to me, two ladies, with appointments, were frustrated that they hadn't been given any service, after their 1 HOUR wait! Some dingbat started singing aloud while her nails were drying, and that did it for me! I paid for my pedicure and left. I, and my mother, have had chipped nails within days of service. I was accepted for a walk in on Sunday and got right in.  I ordered the full treatment for a manicure and pedicure and enjoyed it very much.  The technician was even able to gently treat a bad toenail without any pain.  Very friendly, clean comfortable and even the bathroom was clean and nice smelling.  Can't wait to go back for some pampering. Made an appointment for their most expensive pedicure service. I was seated right away in a comfy massage chair. My water was heated and bubbly while I received a wonderful foot massage. A little warning about the heat of the wax and the stones would have been nice but after the initial shock it felt amazing. I didn't really care about the new sea salt scrub vs. another but it felt nice. Obviously if you've recently waxed or shaved your legs will suffer from the scrub and heat but I suppose most people know not to do that. Read Less

Worst pedicure of my life. The gentleman who seemed to be in charge insisted my pedicurist use some new brand of products they are selling, and it burned my legs. I left with a rash on my shins, but the man still charged me (but with a discount) and told me that people fly all over the world to use the crap they put on me. Not at all pleased with the service I received on my second visit to this salon. The first time, the bald gentleman did a great job. However, when I was there yesterday, not only did the technician proceed to tell me all the things that were wrong with my feet, today I notice that two of my toes are missing polish, and two other nails are cut way too short. Granted, I did only ask for a polish change and could probably use a pedicure, but I don't feel the technician needed to inform me how gross my feet were and how badly I could benefit from a pedicure. I went on a Sunday afternoon as a walk-in and was able to get right in, though they also take appointments as they can get busy sometimes.  The staff was super friendly, which is a nice change from the places where they hardly speak to you and make you feel unwelcome.  I was there for a pedicure and wanted a splurge.  They have four different levels of pedicure, and their Ultimate Pedicure delivered!  The hot stone massage was definitely a nice touch.  And most importantly, the pedicure looks great!I'll be back - with my friends! I too have tried several nail salons in north Overland Park area. Luxury Nail Salon is the best. My nails always look great & everyone is friendly. My pet peeves about nail salons are 1) I don't like a constant upsell, sure ask me once if I want a pedi with my mani but that's enough; and 2) when i come to the shop regularly, staff don"t recognize me as a repeat customer and 3) like Elaine  from Seinfeld when the staff speak another language to each other all the time.
