I was in town and needed a last minute manicure for a rescheduled engagement photo session my fiancé and I were having done the next day. I called to make sure they took walk-ins (they do), walked over and was seated right away. I got my first ever gel manicure done by Kimberly (I believe that's what her name was). She was gentle with my nails and cuticles and the hand and shoulder massage was an added bonus! Place is clean, employees are nice. The boss is friendly. I brought my wife here and mother as a mother's day gift and they loved it. Although there was a long wait, it was well worth it. Cindy is a sweetheart and took such great care of my nails (they were in desperate need of a manicure). I walked in and was able to get a no chip manicure right away. The women in the salon were very helpful in helping me select a color. Cindy took her time and was very thorough in taking care of my nails and cuticles. I am new to this party of the city so the first thing i looked for was a new nail salon. Famous Nails was everything you want in a nail salon- clean, fast, thorough, and well-priced. I went for the very deluxe pedicure, and Cindy did an excellent job. The leg and foot massage that came with the pedicure was just what I needed for my tired feet. Talk about service! Everyone was friendly and professional. They also use a new disposable liner for the pedicure tub for each client , which I truly appreciate. Now I'm quite possibly the most picky person in the world. Especially when it come to my nails, but Cindy did such a phenomenal job. It's as if she knew what I wanted because she went to work right away in exact detail of how I had it mapped out in my head. She was very meticulous with her perfectionist each nail. My sister, niece and I went there for manicures and pedicures. They were extremely sketchy and confusing about the services they deemed the best, but leas expensive. This is my go-to nail place! Just left there :)I've tried numerous salons in the area but always find myself back at this one..I love that they have a HUGE selection of gel polishes (including OPI). It can be overwhelming sometimes though.. For an indecisive person like me!For those of you interested, they also have an extensive selection of dip powder colors as well.The salon is very clean and I have frequently seen the staff scrubbing the floor with bleach.They offer a complimentary drink like some other salons don't  . Horrible customer service they lie about the prices , very rude and was very persistent to argue with me ! I got a set of nails (30$ ) , powder as the color (extra 20 ) and a extra 5$ for the shape i was told 58$ by the nail technician ! I was told 70$ when i got to the front for something i didnt even get put on my nails . I had my child so i kept civilized , paid & left & wont be returning . This place is sure not what it used to be. No customer service, no hello, no good bye. Didn't even tell us they were done and take us to the dryer for toe nails to dry. I've gone to this salon only since moving back to SA in April of 2016. They are pricier than other places because the quality of nails they do. I never schedule an appointment with a specific person because I know they all do a great job! They have a great rewards program (every 500 points you get $20 off) and they are very friendly. I want to like you guys but I've come and got my nails and toes done a few times and it never last like other places do. My toes chipped after two weeks and then when I removed the polish, left a stain that took months to come off. I just got my nails done with the acrylic dip on Friday and I just noticed I have 3 nails lifting. That's not acceptable for the amount of money I payed for the service. You probably need better products and training if this stuff is happening. I never have issues any where else. Read Less

I recommend you keep looking for a nail salon! I will never go back. The guy in charge is terribly rude. He does very poor work and over charges. Their nail polish is either watered down or somehow altered. The OPI color I've been using for years came out more red than the burgundy it's supposed to be. Bad experience. Took my little girl with me. They sat her down for a pedi and I went to the restroom. By the time i got out less than 5 minutes later, the lady was already painting her nails. She also pretended to clip her just clipped toe nails. $20!!!! I asked for the pedi with the 15 minute massage and extra exfoliation knowing my feet weren't that bad, but wanted the extra care. The guy may have tried to exfoliate them for a minute total. I did not get a 15 minute massage. Totally not happy and will not return. I came home and did a better job on my feet in just a few more minutes. I was robbed and should have offered the the $ they charge to paint nails only and for a basic pedi. Read Less

After 2 years of going to this establishment i was on a first nane basis and i had my tech...rarely waited and had good service from my nails, feet and eyebrows. The front desk woman by far is the most rude person i have ever delt with and she is why i have never been back!!!! I work hard for my earnings and i am rough on my hands and found a father/son duo that knew how i liked my nails. I did not need the woman to tell me i am rough in my hands and that the new set i had done 4 days before was my fault and that i needed to pay for them to be fixed again!!! Got a Polish change today at 4pm.. i took this picture at 11 pm on the same day. Its already chipped! Made me very upset and sad. I have a wedding to attend and im a bridesmaid and its going to be so noticeable! I am very diva like so its not like i dont know how to take care of my nails. Also,  do not go without an appointment. I went in as a walk-in with my mom at 1:30. She left at 2, cause she had her own errands. I got helped around 2:20. I came to know Famous Nails after a friend recommended them to me.  This is my "go-to" place for a nice simply pedicure.  They do fancy pedicures also but I prefer the inexpensive, yet still delightful, basic service.  I've watched carefully many times to verify they use new or disinfected items on me and yes, it's all clean.  The staff is always really nice ( I really enjoy the detail & care that is taken by the middle aged man).  I highly recommend you give Famous Nails a try.  You just might like them just as much as I do.(background: I only go for pedicures, no fingernail work as I do my own gel at home) Read Less
