I have been going to Nikki for 8 years!! The salon is always clean and they use a new clean set of instruments on every client. I do gel manicures and they stay on for weeks.  It's best to call before you go in. They mostly see clients by appointment only.  Nikki is never in a hurry and always takes her time! Best Nail Spa I've ever been to. Hands down! The atmosphere was wonderful - just all around relaxing. Rex gave me a mani and pedi and seriously guys, it was the best I have ever had! I just moved from up north and was looking for a new nail salon that I could start going to. My previous nails had been done randomly in Seattle and the acrylic job was awful and ruined all my nails. I went in for a mani pedi hoping they could do damage control on my nails. I called to make an appointment same day and they got me right in! The place was so clean and all the tools had been sterilized or brand new. I appreciate this so so much! The technician I had was Rex and not only was it great conversation but he cared so much about his work and paid great attention to detail! He helped me pick a great nail color with an accent. Both pedi and mani came with massage and the gel looks great. Another great thing about the salon is that it's quiet and I didn't feel rushed like I do at other salons. Artisan Nail Spa unlike your standard nail salon. It has a more spa like quality and ambiance. It's quiet, which I liked and the owners knew each customer by name that came in, which I appreciate. I had my appointment with Rex. Rex is the man! I'm pretty high maintenance about my nails, and he totally went above and beyond. I was undecided about my color and gave him a general idea of what I wanted and he gave me my perfect choice (black cherry). He's meticulous and I love that. Took his time to make sure that each nail was perfect and even. My cuticles were kind of a mess, and he was gentle, yet through. Not just cutting like crazy, but with precision. This is my second time here and I had a manicure with Rex and he gave me the best manicure I've had to date. I have some super short nails and he managed to make them look flawless. The salon is on the smaller side and he took his time and didn't rush me out the door to work on the next customer. Very quiet spa like place! There is not much chatter going on at all. I had a pedicure done by the owner Kevin and he was super nice and did a great job with my feet. He cut my cuticles well and helped me with my ingrown toenail (gross I know). If I am back at the area again I will for sure stop by. Appointments are a must!! Read Less

I've lived in Kansas City for 2 1/2 years and have only been to ONE nail shop and it was a terrible waste‍. Artisan was my saving grace! Freaking love it. Glad to finally find a spot to go to! I checked this place after finding it on Yelp (duh!). I was looking for a place in my new home of Kansas and I get my nails done regularly so I've experienced lots of places. The owners (Kevin did my nails with serious attention to details and Nicki did my polish on the mani) are sweet and helpful. They're also meticulous about nails so I had a personal experience (vs. feeling rushed) with a great result. I can't speak to prices compared to the area since I'm new, but they're definitely on the higher end. It's worth it though. Read Less

They do great gel manicures here. I have seriously never had such thorough work done on my cuticles and my paint lasts 2.5 weeks. They are good about being able to get you in on relatively short notice, but be aware that you do need an appointment here. The staff is friendly and they do excellent work. Read Less

This is one of the best nail salons I have been to. They allowed me to reserve the entire nail salon for my wedding party and family the day before my wedding in June of 2013 and even gave us a 10% discount. We came here last Thursday in order to get our nails done for my sister's wedding the next day. She was so impressed by the service a few years ago that she choose this location. There are dozens of places for mani-pedi but Artisan is the only one that feels like a spa, with pricing more like a nail salon. The owners (a husband/wife) word as hard as every one of their employees and there's always a warm welcome. Never have I been ANYWHERE where I have felt so pampered and catered to. The owners, Kevin and Nikki are lovely people - they have chosen their staff carefully and it shows. The nail services are incredible - you must try the Deluxe Pedicure...an hour of indulgence.Yes... priced a smidge higher than the "quick stop" nail shops, but it is ABSOLUTELY worth every penny.
