My daughter and I both received aurborn coffin nails and pedicures. They did a phenomenal job. The pedi felt absolutely awesome and the hot stones was an added plus. Went in to get gel the lady convinced me to get the dip so I thought I’d try something new but it was horrible there’s still glue stuck to my fingers, my nails beyond crooked and I just wanted white nails but they are blotchy and barley white. So I go into the nail salon their prices are a little expensive but fine because it's one of the best rated in town so I'm like ok I'll try it. So I get in there the lady asks me what I want. I told her I want a manicure (full new set) and pedicure. She then asks me what kindof nail polish I have on, which I have never been asked in my life. So I tell her gel. Because it doesn't come of with normal nail polish remover. She then tells me it's extra $5 to take off gel polish. I'm like no I'm getting a manicure that's included. She goes not for gel. If you don't want to pay the $5 you can just pick the nail polish off . . . ARE. YOU. KIDDING. ME. I'm going to pay almost $100 to get my nails and toes done and you are going to tell me to pick off my nail polish. Read Less

Over priced for the services they offer. It costs extra for them to remove the color on your nails (even as a regular) and then it costs more for white tips just because they are white. Told you get any other color (blue, pink, etc) it's the regular price which is sketchy to me. They aren't very friendly and when my mom got a pedicure they literally skinned her. This place has such low quality. For one there is no clean brush bucket for when you clean your nails, it’s just a cummunity bucket that has brushes everyone has used. Second, when I was getting my shellac nail polish removed the technician was using her own finger nails to scrape the polish off to which her finger nail cut into my cuticle. When I requested that she use a tool instead of her finger nail she said her finger nail works better and continued using them. Third, the next day the polish is already cracking and now chips are coming off my nails. Fourth, the place was not clean and the springs on the couch are pushing up because there is no cushion left on the seats. I will never come back to this establishment or recommend it to anyone else. Came here to get my nails filled and fixed after one popped off a week after having it. The rest were starting to fall off too. The whole time the woman was doing my nails she had an attitude and kept pulling my hands and pushing them away rudely, and when she messed up on some of my nails and I asked her if she could fix it she seemed like it was such a hassle, she was rushing the whole time. I got matte black and I was only supposed to pay $32 then at the end she added a charge for fixing my nails that made it $38. Each time I made an appointment, and I would still wait almost a half an hour! I had an appointment today, waited 20 minutes, and left. Poor business practice! Awesome experience! Staff is friendly and professional, and everything seemed very clean. Prices were reasonable, and they have several options for pedicures in the same price range so you can customize your experience. I LOVE Element. My favorite place to get a pedicure in Manhattan. They start your experience by taking your complimentary drink order, and come and get you from a waiting area once they are ready for you. Their pedicure chairs are amazing, and I recently started getting my nails done here as well. Over all, a very relaxing atmosphere. It can be difficult to find a nail spa that doesn't seemed rushed and over-booked. I always feel welcome, and leave very happy. I love the staff and their work! I highly recommend coming here. I'm new to the area and will be here for a couple of months and was worried about finding a shop to get my nails done being that I'm very picky and have high expectations , but let me tell you!!...this place is clean, they have a great selection of nail polish and up to date brands, they have great massage chairs to get your pedi also most important to me is the people! All of them were Americanized (not being racist) being real! They laughed and joked and was very professional! They were so down to earth! I love it! Because I need to be comfortable when I'm laying in someone's chair getting my feet rubbed and getting my nails done. Oh and let me not forget how wonderful the owner was as he walked around the salon and just checked on my well being, they offered drinks as soon as I came in the door. I went to UMI a couple of weeks ago and noticed this place. I finally made an appointment and must say that I LOVE it! From booking my appointment to checking out, the staff has been nothing  but professional. When I came in, they offered me a complimentary drink, checked me in, and asked me to pick out a color. The pedicure parlor is beautiful and relaxing. All of the tools are sterile. What I especially love about this place is that it doesn't smell like a nail place at all and is very well ventilated! I got an amazing pedicure that included a mask, scrub, hot towels, and a hot stone massage for $50. My technician was stellar, very gentle on my gnarly feet. Always checked to see how I was liking everything! I loved my pedi so much that I asked if they had any availability for a shellac manicure and they quickly accommodated me in their schedule for the day.I have been trying out different salons around Manhattan since I moved here and have been thoroughly disappointed with each one due to their lack of professionalism, customer service, sterile tools, nail polish selection, etc. I can say without a doubt that this place in the best nail spa in MHK and you should definitely give it a try.
