Had an appointment at 6:40 May 31st and had to wait 20 minutes to get seated and helped. I had a regular pedicure with a basic color. I didn’t see my nails up close right away and the next day which is today, my nails look horrible! They aren’t even at all and on 2 of my toe nails, they are painted halfway. Idk how I missed that! They do awesome job. Very good service also. The person who did my nail pick a color for me because I had no idea lol she pick the light green color which I would never chose for myself. Have been three times. Angela was my tech each time. The first time, they looked nice, but the gel began coming off fairly quickly. Second visit she rounded my nails after I specified I prefer them squared, and again the gel chipped off quickly. Third visit the gel was noticeably uneven and again she rounded them. Bad service. First the lady brought out the wrong color and tried to convince me it was the one I chose. I had to ask her to look again and she ended up finding the right one. She rushed the entire time and painted over my cuticles and when I asked her to fix it she said it didn't look that bad. Finally she asked me how I was paying. I told her card, and she said, "do you have cash for tip?" Wtf... I said "no." And she said "well how about check?" Haha nope. She said "well how much are you going to tip so I can add it to the card?!" Wow.. NEVER coming back. Any business that doesn't accept card tip is sketch anyways. Read Less

Always a wait even when you make an appointment. Guy that works there every time I try to tip on card questions me for not having cash. Got a pedicure and just gel (no manicure) and was $50 not sure why. Even a mani-pedi on website says $38. Used to be my go-to place, will no longer be going. Read Less

This is by far the best & most affordable place to get your nails done in Olathe!  Jason is the absolute BEST!!  He's the #1 guy!  If there's a problem, without a bat of an eye they will make it right!  I highly recommend this salon!  Super friendly staff, every single one of them, fun & relaxing! Service is "hit or miss" depending on the technician. I personally have relatively good experience with their younger technicians, that are pretty detail oriented. On the other hand the owners are frequently interrupted by phone calls and scheduling and it can be very frustrating because they don't appear and they can't be very dedicated to their work. This is my favorite place for quick, good quality, inexpensive nail services. I've been to multiple different spots around south KC area and I always regret going anywhere but here. My nails have always been done well (pedicures and gel manicures), the prices are cheaper than most other Vietnamese salons, and they are very friendly. Also clean and good temp inside. Read Less

I've been getting my acrylics done for years across KC. I've been here three times for fills and all experiences were rough. I mean literally ROUGH. They jerk my hands around and cut my cuticles! On top of it they are very unfriendly. My nails were shaped unevenly and my natural nails are left burning. HELP. Read Less

Definitely a fan of Le Reve. The service was super fast and my $25 gel looks fantastic! I will definitely come to this salon again if I'm in need of a gel. If you're looking for conversation and a new nail tech best friend this is not the salon you're looking for. Read Less

This place is bad. The gal did a sloppy job with my manicure. She filed my nails unevenly, didn't paint my entire nail and failed to clean around the edges where nail polish had gotten on my finger. To top it off, she used so much nail polish that it still hasn't fully dried and its been 3 hours causing my color to chip and smear. I just moved here from LA so I hope this isn't a KC trend of crappy overpriced nail salons.Will NOT be back ever. Read Less

I have been on the quest for the perfect nail salon for quite some time now. The first experience I had at La Reve was a good one. So good that I was excited to go back and for this to be my new "favorite" place. Unfortunately, I have just returned from having the most pedestrian pedicure ever, but the roughest nail tech in the history of ever.This pedi looks like the kids' pedi I get for my nine-year-old twins. She literally zoomed through, barely trimmed my nails, even though I specifically asked her to, and slapped paint on them. I was actually there to get a manicure too but since the pedi was so horrific I decided to save my mani for yet another salon on yet another day. Again, I had a great first experience, but if it can't be repeated time and time again, it's not worth it to me to drive across town from my Brookside neighborhood for it. I'm sure I won't be back. I always love coming in here and getting a mani and a pedi when I'm in town. They do a great gel nail and they are super fast and clean. On a Saturday, I reccomend going mid-day when they are less busy, like between 2-5 (and even then they can still be pretty busy). They give you a bottle of water with your service usually, but if they don't feel free to ask for one. The nail techs are attentive, polite, and well-trained. You can't go wrong here. Oh, and you can always hit up the sushi joint down the road for sushi happy hour after your mani/pedi--- is there any better day than nails/sushi?! Maybe the birth of your child or wedding day- but it's really a toss-up. Read Less

If you read any of my nail reviews, you know that I have been on a hopeless quest to find a decent nail salon in KC.  I had heard a couple good things about this place and I even bought a gift certificate here once.  I called and made an appointment and went in the middle of the week.  I arrived and there were 2 other customers.  They take off the old gel polish with the soaking in the bowl method instead of cotton balls....not the best method, but I still hope for the best.  I spot a huge basket of nail color chips (already painted on fake nails).  I could not believe how many colors they had available to me!  I chose one that I had never heard of before, so I wasn't even sure what brands they offered.  After I chose the color, my nail tech looked up the "recipe."  Later I would learn that these were not single colors, but mixes of 2-3 colors.  After I had soaked in the polish remover the nail tech started scraping off my polish...........ready for it......................with her own fingernail!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I was sitting there stunned until I finally said, "do you always scrape off polish with your fingernail?"  She say's, "yeah, why, am I hurting you?"  I said, "no, but do you think that might be unprofessional?"  She says nothing.  I found it hard to concentrate on the rest of the experience, but I remember looking at my color "mix" which was not the grey I originally chose, but now a burgundy.  Apparently these recipes can really go any direction and it did.  My nail tech didn't like me pointing that out either because she hid in the back room while an older lady finished my mani.Weird, weird and weird.  Next....................
