I visited Legend Nail Bar for the first time for a pedicure after the new owner and it was awesome. The decor is so stylish and beautiful. Coco was my nail text and she did a great job. After reading such positive reviews/ratings I was excited to have nail services completed at this salon. As I entered, I was wowed by the interior decor and excited to only see one customer(1:50p.m.). There were 3 technicians available. I was sat at the first chair and began looking through gel colors. My husband sat next to me to help me choose a color. As we made our color selection, A group of 3 ladies walk in for pedicures. The tech then comes back to us and asks if I co...uld come back in an hour (3p.m.), because she had a 2 p.m. appointment. I asked why she didn't mentioned the appointment before I sat down and chose a color. I stepped outside to figure out what we wanted to do. I then step back in to inform the tech that we would have lunch and come back in the hour. As I suspected, the tech was already performing pedicure services on the walk in client who came in after me. I told here that she was not being fair and was very unprofessional. She claimed that I (whom has a Bachelor's degree) and my husband, who has two Master's degrees) were uneducated and stated (with attitude) that she didn't want to work on me. also told her that I'd be contacting the Better Business Bureau. As I was walking out of the salon the tech was calling the police. I have never been more humiliated in my life! It's sad that people of color continue to be discriminated against daily. I got acrylic nails and my nails aren't even, they didn't put the acrylic on all of my nail and the nail polish was sloppy. Also some of my nails are crooked and it's the acrylic that is crooked. It's only been 4 days and they're already coming off. Read Less

They are very nice!  But the lady that did my french pedicure barely touched my feet; she had a distasteful look on her face as if she did not like her job.  The white tips she painted on my toes were crooked and she tried to clean them up and make them nice, but I don't think she has the skills. If I could give zero stars I would. I was Trying something new ended in a bad experience. Poor customer service and they are willing to let customers who are paying more go ahead of customers who are getting something basic. Example: a gel customer vs full set..the full set would come before the gel no matter who got there 1st. The wait was unreasonable and the time quoted was not close to the time services. The service was poor and I lowered my service due to to the wait. I WILL not return!!! I should have gone to US nails. Which was my 1st choice based on Yelp reviews. Unhappy customer. Had a pedicure. Staff was not friendly. The lady who did my pedicure did not even ask how I like my toe nails. She cut my toe nails VERY short, it looks horrible!!! I usually enjoy going and getting a pedicure every few weeks but the last 2 times that I went, the girl that did my pedicure gave me awful ingrown toenails. Bad enough that I had to go to the DR. Kinda dissapointed about that. And she was on her phone a lot. Read Less

I would not recommend this place. I made an appointment by phone for the new spa and when I showed up I was not on the schedule. I still got right in and had a nice pedicure but the paint was not good and was corrected (kind of) by another employee but they didn't look like they were done in a salon. I could have done just as good. Then after soaking off my gel she started painting my nails with no buffing, filing, or cuticle trim. Of course they looked horrible and had to be redone by someone else and then another person that worked at another salon came in and finished them with a rush job and they looked OK at best. I didn't leave until after 8 and got there at 530. Worst nail experience! Read Less

Went there to get a gel manicure with my mom. They were busy and weren't on time for our appointment and had to rush to get them done. Both of our polish was off in less than five days. The place we normally go the polish doesn't even chip after 3 weeks. Disappointed and most definitely not worth the money. Read Less

Being a military wife I have had my nails done all over the United States and Europe. It is the one thing I do for just me. I have two girls and when they reached the age where they could enjoy it I introduced them to the wonderful world of mani's & pedi's. We now make it a girls days out - what really makes it special to us is the people and service we get at JT Nails! We have been going there for almost 13 years now and we have NEVER been unhappy! They truly amaze us everytime!! Trust me my daughters can put them to work with the designs they come up with, however somehow they always make them look beautiful!! I could never recommend another place as highly as I do JT Nails they are AWESOME!!!!!!!!! Thanks to everyone at JT for making me and my girls feel welcomed and pampered everytime!!! Read Less

2 stars because I love the owner so much and he us very we'll rounded and makes the walk in wait, which is forever on a Friday, feel slightly better. My first trip here was only for a pedi and I left sad due to the poor paint job. I'm sure she seen the lighter spots on the top of almost every nail. My husband has to get a mani for work so I tried this place once more. FAIL ! I came in for a color change on toes ( nomore pedi's here at all ! ) and a shellac mani.Smh my shellac is runny and under the heat started to wrinkle up and fall to the side. Again with the paint coverage, tops lighter then the bottom. How do you mess up this?!? They are going to fix it, I hope but I think I will go home unhappy again. Last time here, never again for any of their services. Sorry. Beauty store here I come. Painting my own from now on. Read Less

I have been here several times, the first thing I will say is you are much better off making an appointment, even if you call same day. I have noticed walk-ins tend to be disappointed and annoyed at the wait. Over all though, the owner is very nice, the place is very clean and welcoming. Just be warned, if you're a walk-in, like anywhere else, appointments get preference, simple as that. Read Less

*BETTER THAN AVERAGE SERVICE* I walked in for an appointment during the week in the late afternoon (5pm).  They were totally free with only 4-5 clients.  What I really loved is the extra care the salon lady gave my toes - I have one nail that I busted during a hike that is still growing back, and she filed it carefully to make it look nice.  She also spent extra time on my heel calluses and that was appreciated.  Honestly, I didn't expect to find a decent nail salon in Ft Leavenworth - but it's just as good as any in KCMO, for example.  Price is about $5 cheaper too.  :-)Note: I looked up this place for reviews and only saw one and it was negative - I risked going and found it to be great.  This is why I thought I should post my good experience. :-) Read Less

We went in for pedicures on a Saturday morning.  They advertise that they take walkins so we thought we would be okay.  Unfortunately we arrived before their scheduled appointments and the nail techs decided to rush our pedicures.  One of us ended up with orange nail paint on and AROUND her nails.  They also failed to remove caluses from all of our feet.  At other Salons where prices are similar the techs remove all caluses.  But, it was obvious when their scheduled appointments showed up that we weren't getting out of the way.I think we will try other salons in the area.
