My nail tech didn't speak much English so the owner kept coming over when I was telling the tech what I wanted. She cut the pinky nail to the exact length I wanted but then cut all the rest really short so those tips had to be taken off and redone. First time visiting this nail salon. The place is very clean and the staff is attentive. I'm a big fan of dipping powder and DNB has a wide variety of colors. The only negative about my visit was the fact that, when I was there, only one of the manicurists was doing the dipping powder technique and she was working on three different customers at the same time. The ladies are so nice and helpful when it comes to choosing what type and color of nails you want. They suggested dip powder to me, which I had never tried, because my nails were already in bad shape going in and the powder is a healthier option than acrylic or gel nails. I walked in with a friend and they sat us next to each other, and kept conversation going with us the whole time! We didn't feel rushed or like the ladies had something better to do. I'm not picky with my nail salons, but even if I were this place would get top marks. The nail bar is brand new and everything is so clean! There's nothing that gets me more jazzed than a UV lamp with no dirt (or skin) residue inside! My mom and I popped in for manicures (shellac for me and regular polish for her) and they were able to seat us right away at the nail bar. I like the bar stools better than a regular table because nobody has to hunch over during the manicure. Mom thought the bar stools were a bit uncomfortable, but if that worries you they also have regular height tables. My only criticism was that the manicures weren't the speediest. I went with my daughter for a girls day out and we enjoyed ourselves, the service was awesome. The nail techs took their time with us and didn't rush through which was nice since both of us have sensitive hands, and my tech...although I feel bad not remembering her name because she was so so nice, we had the best conversation the entire time that it was almost as if we had known each other before this. I don't get to treat my daughter often but it was her birthday weekend so we went here because she mentioned that her friend's mom had just opened this place. I thought great I can help support a fellow mom. It was so clean and welcoming. I had the privilege to get to know Nathalie while I was there. She was so friendly and engaging. I didn't get the name of the lady who worked on my daughter's feet but she was polite as well and even painted little fishes on her toes. It was a real treat for her birthday.
