I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because the first time I went, my pedicure was great and lasted a couple months. I returned for a powder manicure and it's awful. The technician didn't do the "manicure" part (no trimming, shaping or hand massage). It started chipping off on the third day and I've had powder manicures last over a month! Also, my daughter's technician did all of the trimming, etc. but cut her fingers very badly and they were bleeding through the entire service!!! The lady barely uttered an apology and still charged full price. I did not tip for the first time in my life! I will not return to this salon. Read Less

I have given this place a few chances. I love their decor and it does appear to be a clean salon. However, I asked for a rounded nail. I have very square nails. The entire time I was receiving service, the technician was looking at other guests as if she couldn't wait to finish with me and move on to them. I tipped her 20% because I am in the service industry and cannot bring myself to tip poorly. So since the pedicure, I have since had horrible pain in my big toes, due to ingrown toenails that were not an issue when I arrived at the salon. My nail shape is horrendous. My thumb nail is crooked and my nails are boxy not rounded. At no point during my services did the technician ask me if I cared for a drink which was to be included in the cost of my pedicure. At no point did any other technician offer to assist and the technician did not speak any English. So she cannot meet my needs if she doesn't understand what it is I'm asking for. I won't be going back. Unfortunate, because it is a nice looking salon, the commute is shorter than the other salon I have frequented in the past, but this was unacceptable. It's time for a fill and I won't be returning to Norwalk's Nail Bar for those services. Read Less

I love this place. I will go out of my way to go there to get my nails done. The staff is amazing and happy to see you when you walk in. Sometimes I make an appointment, and sometimes I walk in. And when I walk in, they always try to get me in. They hardly ever turn anyone away. I love the atmosphere there. And very reasonably priced too. This was the first place I went to get the DIP and I've been hooked ever since. And Entity is where I tell all my friends to go if they want the DIP. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. I have given this nail salon several tries and it has never been close to perfect. They did my nails for my wedding and two broke within three days. I got a fill from them a month ago and my nails were crooked and My left hand nails were all longer than my right hand nails. I went back for a fill two weeks ago and they are crooked again and within one hour of leaving the salon both of my thumb nails shriveled after getting a gel fill. I just went to try and get a fill and they are supposed to be open until seven but they are closed. Read Less

I made an appointment for a manicure this afternoon before a special occasion. I walked in and was greeted right away. Everyone was nice and the lady who did my nails was pretty good. The nail bar was cool and different. I will say they need to work on cleanliness. The grout was dirty on the floor and the drying station hadn't been wiped down in awhile.My manicure was $15.00. It's strange for me to admit that it'd been two years since I had a pedicure.  I used to get them monthly.  Having a child made them not very important to me.  But I do remember what makes up a good pedicure, at least in my opinion...A short wait, or no wait at all:Having came in 30 mins after they opened on a Monday, I expected them to be slow, customer wise.  There was one lady getting a manicure when I arrived.  I got in right away for my pedicure.  About 10 mins later, another lady came in.  She had to wait.  By the time I left, another four ladies came in.  They had to wait.  So my "wait" experience was good but I wonder how the others felt. Friendly staff:The lady who did my pedicure was very nice even as she multi-tasked with the others coming in and also leaving to take phone calls.  I really liked her.  She even corrected me when I accidentally overtipped by a decent amount.  You won't find that very often.No up-selling/pressure:Shortly after I sat in the chair, soaking my feet, and getting a massage, I was handed a pamphlet with all the choices for a pedicure.  No pressure at all besides just choosing one.  I was never asked to get a manicure or more services added to my pedicure.  I loved this approach!Clean:This is where I cannot give them five stars.  This is not a very old nail salon and it was not the cleanest one I'd ever been to.  The grout and tiles were dirty.  The stool legs were dusty.  The carts that held the lotions, scrubs, etc were also a bit messy.  They used the same wooden stick to get product out and placed on someone.  That made me a bit worried.A good pedicure:I am rather happy with my pedicure results.  My toenails look great!  She did a nice job with the foot and leg massages and was also aware when the towels or stones were too hot.This place was a little different inside (in a good way).  It had a high top bar for the manicures which is so unique!  With a bit more cleaning of the place, this would be a nail salon I would frequent. This is by far my favorite nail salon to go to. Everyone takes their time and does such a great job. It's the only place I will go to from now on. I also love the atmosphere. They've decorated it so very cool. Love the bar for getting manicures too. What a great idea. Read Less
