I will normally never leave a review but in this case I feel there are better nail salons that won’t be a waste of your money, particularly Nail Art. I’ve gone here on two separate occasions, both because Nail Art is closed on Mondays, and have not had great experiences either time. The first time the woman doing my nails drew blood MULTIPLE times on my manicure and pedicure. She actually had to go grab a towel to keep cleaning the blood. I was not offered an apology or a discount. In fact, she tried to hide it and would try to shush me when I kept telling her she was hurting me. She finished as fast as she could and my shellac peeled off within a week. The second time, again because Nail Art was closed, I brought up the fact that last time they cut me so she did almost nothing to my nails and here we are again FIVE days later and my shellac is off. Went here to get a full set acrylics and had a horrible experience! All of my nails are uneven, there is a ton of space between my cuticle and acrylics that looks like grow out (the same day I got them), and she painted them so sloppy and quick. Then I asked her to break a 10 into a 5 dollar bill and 5 ones and she brings me back 2 five dollar bills so i had no choice but to leave 5 dollars!! Really, really poor no chip manicure. I get no chip every 2 weeks and my normal place had a long wait so I decided to try this place. They talked badly about my normal nail place to me during the entire manicure which I found to be extremely unprofessional. (PS I LOVE my normal place and they do a fabulous job.) My friend's nail tech did a terrible, uneven job on her nail and my friend asked her if she would fix it. The nail tech agreed, but brought up on THREE separate occas...ions that my friend must of bumped it on a table or touched it, which she did not. Not a way to treat a customer. My nail tech was chatty and kind but didn't do a great job either. It's less than 4 days out and multiple nails are chipped and peeling. I have never had a no chip manicure do this so quickly. Hadn't been here for a long time due to moving out of state. I actually remember when they opened because I lived in NL at the time and went there. Had a wonderful experience today and recognized a couple of the girls and they even remembered me! Had fantastic service and hospitality. Definitely will be a returning, regular customer again. At first they were friendly and did fair job. However price for manicure and pedicure kept changing. There's no way taking a toddler n get her nails painted n a pedicure and manicure should amount t to $125.00. Also sometimes the communication barrier of language was a problem. Not a good experience at all. They messed up my nails and they were literally oozing polish. When I returned to get them fixed the lady was rude and blamed me for them looking horrible after 2 days! I wouldn't return for any reason. Go to Nail Art in North Liberty. They are awesome! Read Less

I like the guy that works in the back of the station he had lots of personality and good conversation and was nice to me.everyone else was kind of stuck up didn't say much at all especially the owner that sits in the front. I don't even believe I got a welcome when I walk to the door although I saw a couple other people come in and was treated very nicely. Everyone was super nice and amazing for like a year that I went there... then one of the girls said to my son, "why are you so fat you used to be skinny" and laughed. I couldn't barely believe it!!!!! I will never recommend or go back ever again. My son isn't fat either!!!! He's in 5th grade and 107 pounds and 5'2"!!!! How dare them. Read Less

This is the worst nail salon I have been to.. they woman workers there are very rude. Me and my sister went there to get our nails done for the forth of July and we asked for white stars on ONE of our nails and we got them on all of them, then they told us they where not gonna charge us for the stars... then my dad came back to get us and it was $122.00 ! Please avoid this place, they don't take pride in your nails and if they mess up while they are painting your nails guess what they say... " stay still , don't move" So now i do my own nails or i just go to my local Walmart to get my nails done... but yeah please avoid...they are rude and disrespectful and they don't care what you want on your nails... they will do whats best for them...! THIS REVIEW IS BASED SOLELY ON CUSTOMER SERVICE, but based on the customer service I will not be going to this place. Ever.So, let me start this review by saying that I live in Chicago and my boyfriend lives in IC. For my birthday last year, my boyfriend's mom got me a gift certificate to this establishment. I did not realize that it had an expiration date because most gift cards or gift certificates do not. Not to mention, when I do get to Iowa I have limited time. With that being said, anytime that I have encountered a deadline an establishment will usually allow me to still use it after the deadline because someone did pay for it. Well when I called the place the girl on the phone did not bend whatsoever. "I'm sorry you didn't realize there was an expiration" was her quick response. I find this completely ridiculous. I would NOT recommend buying a gift certificate here because they do not honor it, even if it is a little past the expiration date, they do not bend. Read Less

I've gone to T. Nails several times and thought it was fine. But after the owner berated me for using a credit card to pay my $7.50 tip and tax I've never returned. If you don't want to accept credit cards as a form of payment for transactions under a certain amount you need to post that policy and inform your customers in a nice way. Read Less
