I am from Texas come and visited Des Moines first time I searched for good places to go and do my nails I found this place with very good reviews but this place didn't impress me . The service was good but the atmosphere was very quite they didn't smile none of them Now after 1 day I just notice my toes nails are chipping. You need to improve girls , be more friendly !!!!! Once I got in good light I realized my nails are completely jacked! 'Gently rounded and natural' left me with pointy nails with detached edges, globs of dried dip at the cuticles. The only way to fix mine now will be to get the garbage dip removed and cut my nails down to the quick and wait for them to grow out. DO NOT GO HERE if you like your nails and want them to look nice. I literally can't look at my hands without getting angry at the sight of their destruction of my nails. I'm going to tell EVERYONE I meet about the awful work here. Read Less

I went there to get my nails done for my brother's wedding. I have gotten shellac before (at different salons) and I LOVE it. I'm so clumsy with anything involving my hands, and my husband and I joke that I chip a nail before they're even done painting them with a traditional manicure. So I was excited to get mine done!The woman who did my nails was AWFUL. She filed my nails unevenly, and even when I pointed it out to her, she "fixed it" but not really at all. When she was doing my cuticles, she made me bleed and laughed it off. When she did my nails, she left marks in them and let pieces of dust fall in (that you could see on the fingernail). She also got some of the top coat of shellac on the other side of my finger (the non-nail side) and when I asked her if she could remove it for me, she told me that it would come off on it's own. (It didn't, I had to pick it off myself) Then, a few days later, my nails have already started looking bad. The edges are coming up pretty noticeably and I'm tempted to just take them off less than a week later (which is a bummer, because the whole point of shellac is to have the manicure last longer). So unfortunately,  I should have just gotten a traditional manicure. :( Overall, the salon was very clean and the other employees were nice, but mine, not so much. Read Less

A little more expensive than other places but I like the location and the place is gorgeous and very clean. The pedicure seemed just average but I accidentally smudged one toe and the lady was very nice about fixing it. I would definitely come back again. Read Less

To start off, I made a few mistakes on this visit: 1) Came the day before the first 70 degree day of the year, 2) Came on a Friday, 3) Came over lunch. Combine all of these three details and you get a busy place.  They had me pick my color and took me straight to a pedicure chair to relax.  I really only waited a little bit for the lady who did my pedicure.  Waiting for my gel/shellac manicure was a bit longer since a table had to open up.  I was there for over an hour and a half which to me was a bit long.While I was getting my pedicure done, a lady came in stating that she was the one that called about her pedicure not lasting.  As I'm sitting there getting mine done, all I can think is, mine sure better last!  I'm not paying this much for a crappy job.  I can tell you that mine lasted for the duration I needed it to but it did seem to come off faster than other places I've been to.  My gel/shellac manicure did well.They say they only accept cash tips but I did see one girl hand them a check for the tip.Would I come back, maybe.  I have other nail places that I like better (and are better priced). Burned by their Buy one get gift certificates for the amount opening special. Girl working sold me "extra" gift certificates, but didn't bother to tell me they would expire before I could possibly use them! Sure I should've looked for an expiry date- that's on me, however I've been back 3 times and been a good customer and good tipper. Today for a manicure and a pedicure and they wouldn't honor the $46 remaining dollars I had. Wouldn't even discuss going 1/2 face value. You won't build a customer base treating your repeat customers that way! I will not be back! Read Less
