If I could NEGATIVE stars I definitely would! Lena specifically is very rude, rushes, and doesn’t give quality work. NONE of the nail techs gives quality work actually. They’re very agressive, make you pay before the work is completely done, and seem frustrated every time I go there. Definitely will not be coming back, Tony’s needs to learn about customer service. Today was the worst service ever! I went in n for a pedicure and the water was freezing cold after asking for warmer water the lady filled the bowl with scoling hot water and walked off. Another lady passed by seen my feet hanging off the side (to avoid first degree burn)ask if I was ok. I told her that my water was scoling hot and she walks off to and proceed to help another client! We had a appt, got there was told to sit in a pedicure chair and waited at least 30 mins before anyone started. They started doing everyone's nails who they knew( customers who they called by name) that was walk ins, other walk ins that they didn't call by names had to wait. I heard them tell people different prices for the exact same services one lady for a manicure and pedicure was told $50 plus tax and told her the total was $53, they knew the mom n daughter by name and was also walk ins. I was told pedicures was $55 & manicures were $45. I would never return to this place. Was not very clean or sanitary. Watched water sit in the foot part of the pedicure stations and not be drained or cleaned. If they drained them, they was not cleaned and more water was put back in for the next person. Read Less

We got there for our appointment at 4:30 and we had to wait. They sat me down for a pedicure, I was soaking about 20 min when they took me out and said let's do nails. They left my water in and put someone else in my water I had soaked my feet in. When they sat my daughter down to do her feet they did not wash out the tub and there were toe nails in it.There were several of us and they gave us all different prices. They even said that they charge for different shapes of nails. And when people came in they told each person different prices for some of the same things we were getting done. When I went to pay they told me no one got tips. I am glad my daughter had not left because she had already tipped her ladies. We will never go back. They are very dishonest and unsanitary. Love Sarah the owner at Tony Nail!  I always make an appointment with her and she does my nails to my liking and never disappoints!  They are all so friendly and funny group that work there.  If you want to get in and out I suggest an appt.  if you don't mind waiting them a walk-in is your best bet.  They have all the latest trends and are the cheapest that I have found.  I live close to Indianola/Carlisle and I make my every 2 week trip to the east side just to go to this salon. I have been coming to this place for the last couple of years, but after my last visit I am never coming back again. When I first came in I asked for a fill, picked out my color and sat down. The oldest nail tech that the have was the one who did my nails and acted like she didn't want to be there and wanted to watch videos on her phone instead. But she asked me if I wanted my gel top coat again and I said yes, usual stuff. Once she started doing my nails she was being completely rude and kept pushing my other fingers out of the way when they weren't in the way to begin with and was getting irritated after each finger she did by saying little comments like "honey" and looking at me pissed. At first I was understanding cause maybe it was in the way so I got cautious about it by trying to make sure they weren't. Then when she pulled out the drill she still kept getting irritated and started rushing through my nails. She was cutting into my skin (which is not the first time she has made me bleed) and did the same thing with the nail file and then got mad again when I flinched cause my fingers "got in the way again" she stopped what she was doing and took a big breathe and sighed and then finished what she was doing. I finally went to the nail dryer and she hurried and helped a customer that seemed to be pretty good friends with her. After my nails were done drying she yelled at me to come and sit down so she could put the gel top coat on and got mad again when I put my hand in the nail dryer when I wasn't supposed to and rolled her eyes. She then yanked my hand closer to her and went as fast putting the top coat on so she could to get me out of there. Usually you are supposed to dry them a few times under it and when I went to put my hand back under it one more time she said "no that's it" and unplugged it and said "21.20". After I paid she didn't even say have a nice day or thanks for coming. She just grab my card gave it back to me and left so she could help the lady. I never give reviews or say anything if I have bad experiences at places. But this one just pissed me off to write one cause I've been a regular for a very long time and have spent lots of money there because they usually do a decent job. Employees are very rude. Over charge for terrible work. Made me bleed and the whole process was painful. Woman kept trying to upcharge my manicure to gel without asking. I'm lucky I know the difference. Used to love this place but it is just going down hill. If you want a better place go to Erin's nails in west Des Moines on 86th. They do all the cool stuff you see on instagram and they are very careful. Will never go back to this place. They've lost a few customers. Read Less

They're decent. They have a punch card where after 10 or 12 purchases you get a free regular manicure. I don't understand how I always ask for the same thing (basic manicure, $12) and sometimes I'll get the paraffin wax and sometimes I won't. Like it's due to their convenience; it's not consistent. They seem the rush the later you go in, too. I could see how some would say "that's normal" but no, it's not. If your hours are until 8 p.m. and I go in at 7 -- there should be no rushing, which seems to happen fairly often. They're close to home and the punch card is what sells me. I don't get any extravagant designs so it's always pretty basic. I've never had a pedicure here, either. I often hear of them running a mani/pedi special for $30. Could call ahead to see. Read Less
