I just got a massage and facial. I was so disappointed, especially when my husband was gracious enough to spend the money for me to have a nice relaxing day. The masseuse was kind and had good technique, but the room was bright, like sun shining in the window bright. The room was not warm. We called and scheduled for a style for a wedding. We asked how much It would be. She said $35.00 and that's all. We scheduled. Got our hair done and the total was $65.00 a person!! They said if you add just one bobby pin it is consider an updo and is then $65.00 We stated if we knew that we would of went somewhere else! They said she should of told you on phone. They also had on paper that she did tell us it was hairstyle for 35 but put in computer to schedule as an updo for 65. They would not help in anyway and made us pay full price!!! My daughter had her hair done for Homecoming and the end result couldn't of looked further from the picture we brought the stylist to go off of. Thankfully my best friend who is also a hair dresser, but was recovering from surgery felt good enough to tear it all down and start over! Her hair then looked amazing. I have to give a huge shout out to Claudia, Spa Director at William Wesley! I took my 14 yo daughter there to get a facial, but before I took her I had to make sure it would be safe for her. You see she suffers from eczema, has severely dry skin and is allergic to quite a few chemicals. I took her list of chemical allergies in to them and asked them about it. Claudia took the list and double checked everything to determine it to be safe. My daughter's skin has not looked... so good in a very long time. The look on her face was priceless! I LOVE that Claudia takes the time to talk to and with my daughter to educate her about her skin, things she is doing right and things she may be doing that are wrong. Claudia is incredible! Horrible at a dye job that should have been easy. Told my wife they would fix it. She came in and they said they couldn't but would refund her. Then the manager said it was good enough no refund so she went to another salon and paid the same amount again to have it fixed. It came out right that time. Never use them again. Bad experience. They charge twice what other Salons I have been to do for a pedicure. Their nail techs were nice but couldn't do any detail work. They also charged us more then we were quoted and front desk couldn't care less about the discrepancy. But their new policy about only allowing cash tips wasn't explained over the phone so you are forced to use their trashy looking ATM in the lobby to get money out at a fee to you. I have been going to Linda Myron for over 20 years! In all that time I have never left unhappy! She always knows about the latest styles and techniques. While some stylists want you to rely on them she has helped me learn how to extend my color and keep my hair as healthy as possible in between appointments. I am from Philadelphia and was coming to Iowa to visit my bf who plays baseball here. I work night shifts and didn't end up having time to get my eyebrows waxed at home before I came. I like to pretend that I am an eyebrow connoisseur, I was very worried coming to a small town that I would not find a place good enough to was my eyebrows up to my standards. (I know I sound like a snob). Boy was I wrong! I called this salon and they were so helpful. I made an appointment and told the receptionist how picky I was with my eyebrows and she hooked me up with Claudia, the spa director. She assured me that I would be well taken care of. Still, I was nervous.    I show up to the spa 10 minutes early and get seated right away. Claudia was so nice and very knowledgable. Studied my fave for a little and began waxing. It took about 10 minutes and when she was done they were PERFECT! She kept them full, like I liked them and with a beautiful arch. She really took the time to listen to what I wanted and pluck any little hair that wasn't removed by the wax. I could not believe the result.
