It's 25.00 for a pedicure and 28.00 for mens pedi, but so worth it!!! Complementary blush wine and a beer for hubby. They took their time and did a good job with exfoliating and clipping cuticles, and didnt dig their nails into our skin to get into the cuticles like other nail artists. The nail artist did a good job painting my nails and cleaned them up neat with a brush and acetone so they look pretty. They RUSHED the entire time, causing cuts around my nails and I had to tell them many times to fix several nails because of how uneven they were. Also, rushed thru painting them so I’m on my way home to repaint them myself. Very unhappy. Read Less

The gel nails and pedicures are beautiful. Ngoc and Melissa always try to work me in sometimes on very short notice. When I've had to go to other places because they just couldn't work me in, I've not gotten the attention to detail and fun atmosphere. Read Less

I had a bad experiences at Crystals Nails. I came to Gel Nails. They made me feel welcomed and did a wonderful job! I thought the place was very clean and had an inviting atmosphere. I love coming to Gel Nails! I love in Iowa City but gladly make the trip back because they’re awesome and take time with their clients. Melissa does great work and is very meticulous with manicures and designs, which is hard to find at most every other nail salon out there. Oh my god! Literally my FAVORITE nail salon! The workers are so warm hearted & sweet! Mel, the owner, is the sweetest nail lady I’ve ever met in my life! I would do zero stars if that was an option. Horrible salon smells like smoke so dirty roaches crawling around . The sanitation is non existent! I seen them clean their tools by using just tap water no cleaner nothing. You make an appointment for something and you get every excuse why you can’t get that. If you complain they will try and make it your fault never is there anyone to do acrylic i don’t know if that’s true or they just don’t like doing people of color. I called this salon on a Saturday at 5:30 and asked them what time they closed. They said 7:30, said they were not busy, and would accept a walk in. I get there 2 minutes later and the girl tells me she doesn't have time to do 2 full sets. And they didn't close for 2 hours. I cannot say enough good things about this salon! I have been coming to Gel Nails for 3 years after shopping around for a nail salon that fit for me in the Quad Cities. Melissa is a rock star when it comes to detail and the entire staff is a lot of fun. I go every 2 weeks and have NEVER had an issue with cleanliness or skill when it comes to my nails. I have gotten acrylic, pedis and just simple gel manicures and all have been great experiences. Many of my friends now get their nails done at Gel after my recommendation and are happy as well. Everything you need in a nail salon. I went in for a fill. Lam did them, I love the shape and finally a fill that goes all the way to the cuticle! Quality job for sure. I think my total bill was 30 something but I had gel polish and an accent nail too. I would definitely go here again. Read Less

After walking out of another salon, completely disgusted with the lack of customer service, my friend and I found Gel Nails. It is conveniently located in the corner spot of the building in front of Sam's club, and across from Kohl's.  The staff was very nice, well spoken, chairs were new, well padded, comfortable.  The salon was clean and they immediately offered us something to drink. The pedicures were thorough, my toes looked and felt fabulous! And the price was very reasonable!  Definitely going back, and will take advantage of the punch card, after 8 visits, it's $5 off!
