if i could i would give no stars. im sure this place is great for just a simple polish change but this is by far the absolute worst nail job ive ever had. the guy had no clue what he was doing, theyre shaped badly and what was supposed to be an ombre pink and white powder job turned out to be extremely blotchy and messy looking. i also just got them fixed and the guy said they wont even last longer than a week because he put on the acrylics wrong. extremely disappointed and would  never recommend. a good alternative would be nails de vie. this place say theyre cheaper because they dont have any signs up on prices, but their prices are no different than anywhere else u could go. I use to go all the time. And stopped going because of money issues I went today with my best friend.. and we both wanted our nails and toes done... they charged us 40 for our nails and we didn't want gel... and 22 for our toes and our toes were done within 10 minutes didn't Even get what we payed for. Wish they wouldn't rush things... and they didn't even get dead skin off of our feet.. disappointed. That place was never like this before. Also the guy was asking me my busine...ss and asked if I lived with my mom and dad I told him my dad died and after that you would think he would stop asking about it. DO NOT recommend. I went there for a mani/pedi tonight and the techs did a very sloppy job. For my manicure, he made three of my fingers bleeds with the dremel by cutting my cuticles too short. He didn't even soak them first. My pedicure looks like a child painted them. There is a significant amount of paint on my skin. Read Less

Super nice staff, but unfortunately bad nails. They are very fast, but my acrylics are almost always crooked, my cuticles looks horrible, and the paint job is uneven. I've given 3 chances- and this has been my experience every time. HOWEVER- I have friends who get dip nails and they do a great job with that. Read Less

This was one of the only salons I found that did SNS. It was late and Henry still accepted me coming in. I usually get nails done in Atlanta where I live, but it was a nail emergency- splitting nails from a poor nail job. Henry did the best SNS polish I have ever had!!! I recommend him highly! One good thing about this place is its fast. Otherwise horrible, a lady went up to pay and they insisted that she give a tip in cash because it saves money for them, Told us that it was going to be 22 dollars when it turned out to be 40 dollars per person. Wouldn't give my mom white tips they insisted they paint them on.. when signing the bill he kept looking over to see if I was giving a tip. If I could give them no stars I would. Horrible experience. Absolutely horrible. Sat in pedicure chair for an hour after they told me it'd be 10 min before anyone came to help me. Ended up leaving because store was about to close. People walked in and I was skipped over multiple times. They weren't even busy. No organization whatsoever. Would not recommend if you're looking for sofistication and customer satisfaction. Our nail technicians were just wonderful. This was our first time trying out this place, and they were so kind and did an excellent job with our pedicures. Our leg and foot massage lasted 20-30 minutes and they used warm stones! Definitely glad we took a chance and made this stop. Thank you Fancy Nails for an A+ experience! We will definitely be back. Just moved to the area- looking for a new salon. Everyone was very friendly. Had a fantastic foot scrubbing/leg massage. Probably the best I've ever had. Then got my toes painted. I have paint on the top of nails and on my cuticles. I said something and they didn't offer to fix it. I also got gel manicure (at the same time) and have cuticles hanging and the paint is terrible. I said something and still no offer to fix it. So now I'm going somewhere else to get them repainted. Bummer. Read Less

Terrible service. Asked me about ten times if I wanted shellac when I told them I didn't want that. They did it anyways and charged me for it. They got the shape and design completely wrong. She also didn't put enough nail polish on because I can see right through them. She knew that my nails looked like crap and she let me leave without her fixing them. These people are absolutely terrible!!!! Don't go here, spend a couple dollars more somewhere else and get reputable work done. I went in there for a simple fill. The girl acted like she didn't know how to do it he said, go ahead it'll be just fine. So she starts to file down then he looks at him and says oh no we need to do these over again I'll make them beautiful and came over and clipped them so that I had to take them off then he charged me $42 for it!!! I showed him a paint job that I didn't think was too difficult off of Pinterest, he said that was very easy. It doesn't look anything like the picture no sparkles no snow, nothing it's terrible!!! I have mixed feelings about this place. They are great when it needs to be done quick, but you end up paying for sloppy unfinished nails. I came in yesterday for a mani pedi, I came in at 1:30 and they had an appointment coming in at 2:30, I figured that would give them enough time to do my nails. While I was getting my pedi they started my mani which is fine, but there were two different women and they didn't communicate well. Once the women began cleaning part of my cuticles she left to start another women's pedi, once again fine, but I expected the work to be finished. After the women finished my toes she began painting my nails, after they were painted I noticed there was a lot of white all around my nails and it wasn't my polish. I asked to fix it, and they some what did and she admitted that she forgot to trim my cuticles but then she kept a saying my skin was so dry and that's why it was white. I don't enjoy paying for work and then being told because their lack of communication the reason why there was white around my nails was because of my dry skin. I get a mani pedi at least twice a month I've never had anyone say something like that over there mistake. If I'm in a rut I'll go her again, such as I have literally no other options rut, other than that I'll find another place to get my nails done. Read Less

Made a reservation with a few classmates for our nursing school graduation, was very disappointed in my experience. They lady who I had was extremely rough during my pedicure to the point it hurt, kept scratching me with her long nails and did a horrible job on my mani/ pedi. My French tips were not a straight line. she did not remove all of my previously green Polish which you could see under the new polish She applied, this was on almost every finger and toe. She also had the nerve to get angry at me when i demanded she fix her sloppy work, got more aggressive With her filing and squeezing of my limbs and tried to make me feel like I was requesting too much... Very sloppy and unprofessional. However, they are quick and cheap. I got a gel manicure and a pedicure and was out in less than an hour. I'm in my car, right after, and these are my nails. They are sloppy to say the least. She did not take off all of the red polish I had in when I went in. I have new polish all over my skin. They were unfriendly and I felt unwanted when I was in there. Very mixed feelings....we had an appointment for nine people (so they should have been prepared...or informed us they couldnt do that many or that it would be several hours...) we actually ended up only having seven. We got there at six and didnt leave till 9:30, I personally sat in the chair for the pedicure waiting for like an hour...I had to try to figure out how to warm my water because I had waited so long the water had gotten cold. Overall there were a couple of nice people there - Henry was one of them he was very kind to my soon to be sister inlaw and pampered her and took notice that this was for her wedding and celebration and really was great and I am glad she got him....there were also not so patient employees ...I saw one roll her eyes and be very short and rude to my soon to be sister in laws sister and others....so on top of the wait the service was not the best or even great. We all wanted to get a matching design on our toes we had the picture but just wanted different colors to be used to match the wedding colors....the designs all look a different and even on my own two toes they were not matching and I had a really hard time getting it to be fixed because I dont think she understood me but I also feel I shouldnt have had to explain or show you that the two dont match and that they should.... it was a bit frustrating to say the least. I must say thought that they did do a great job on the acrylic nails they are not overly thick - they are the perfect thickness and they look great but even with that process I told her I had cut myself and yet she still ended up taking the file tool right over my cut and hit it about three more times after that....but at least they look good....I dont think that I would go back but maybe if you are going alone and have time to possibly wait around and/or maybe if you can get in with Henry then it would be worth it....or if you just get acrylics then you are set because I am happy with the nails...but not so much with the whole waiting and process and seeing how rude some of the employees were to other members of our party..... I was searching for a nail salon at 9 am on a Saturday, and was pleasantly surprised to find this one open.  I was greeted by Amy at the door, very kind and helpful.  I was the first in the door with no appointment and they were able to work on me right away.  A different woman did my pedicure, but she was equally nice and helpful.  She did a fantastic job.  She used a callus slicer type thing on my feet that I hadn't had someone use on me before.  It freaked me out at first, but left me with really soft feet.  I think I probably needed those calluses for yoga or something, hopefully I don't regret letting that happen!They let me hang around in the massage chair for an extra long time so that I wouldn't smear up my new polish inside my tennis shoes.  Getting pedicures in the Iowa winter is pretty challenging - not easy to leave in flip-flops.Of note was the foot and calf massage, which the practitioner took her time through, and was so lovely!  The pedicure came to 23 plus tip.  Great price and totally worth it.  I would definitely return here when I'm back in Davenport.
