First time I've went to a school to get my hair done and OMG so happy I did!!! Aubrey took my brassy blonde and turned it into an icy beautiful blonde! My cut is amazing and I couldn't be happier the girl is amazing and has found her calling.. the instructors were super sweet and all around it was an amazing experience!!! I'm referring everyone I know to Aubrey! I lived in Vegas for 13 years and have gotten my hair done at high end salons and this girl at 19 is rocking some hair! First, the one star is NOT related to a haircut or style. It is related to multiple screwups in getting an appointment with a specific stylist who we were trying to do a favor for. Scheduled two appointments a week apart for the same stylist, the second time for my child. The first appointment went off without a hitch, the second.. Yeah, not so good. First after verifying the appointment two days before, we find out another girl we know had an appointment at the same time... with the same stylist. In short, they double booked her. So our friend changed her appointment. We arrive tonight for our appointment only to find that our stylist is double booked AGAIN and we find out that our appointment is not with the specified stylist. Seriously? Done. I'm out, how many screwups should we have endure to do get a haircut with the specified stylist? Really? If this is how/what you are teaching your students then you are literally doing them a disservice. The lack of care in scheduling will only lead to problems in their salon. Get your stuff together. These students have fresh ideas and are being led by an experienced staff to hone their skills. I appreciate the input and tips I gain by being part of their process. I feel like the instructors know the skill level of each student and help them master each challenge (we all know hair is a challenge, that's why we pay people to help us!) and get to know the clients particular hot mess of hair that they bring them! Costs are lower than professional salons and who doesn't love THAT! Not every one is a diamond, but they're all gems! If something isn't right, speak up! they'll fix it! Read Less

This was our 3rd appointment with Jenna. This visit was a color and cut and brow wax. The appointments are longer than what I'm used to but we love supporting the students and the price is also a plus. The color was spot on- exactly what we were looking for! I was impressed with Alyissa's honesty with me being the first ethnic hair she had ever worked on and hadn't even had the class yet, but she was so professional and open to learn. If she had questions she asked her instructor. She allowed me to give her a couple of suggestions and the results were wonderful! I scheduled to go back to her next week. I have to admit I was a bit turned off when I first called to make an appt and asked for a stylist who could do ethnic hair, the person very rudely said "all of our stylist are trained". While that was not true and training doesn't mean you can do it, the student, Allyissa definitely made up for the lady's rudeness. Alyissa definitely has a bright future if she stays humble. Had a great experience with my stylist, Shyanne! She does a really good job, really personable. Loved having her do my hair! (One issue: I wish thermal styling was included in the 'shampoo, cut & style' or was offered for a smaller fee. Saw that it was a separate $15 fee on their menu. Yikes! Have gone to other places [including another school] and its included. But, I guess they do it for safety reasons, which I can understand). I went to Capri for the first time today for a "calming facial" as listed on their services menu. I called when they opened and they got me in right away! My student, Lori, was professional and relaxed. I thought I was getting a "mini-facial" because of the price, but nope! It was a full hour, complete with amazing neck and shoulder massage, pressure point massage, and hand massage. Best of all, unlike other salons, I wasn't pressured to purchase products afterward. Lori showed me what she used and gave me free samples (!!!) and that was it. I'll never go anywhere else for facials. So pleased with this experience. Read Less

I went here for a shellac manicure and was extremely disappointed in the manicure and the lack of communication I've received after contacting them via facebook. Twenty dollars for the girl to not even trim an uneven nail I had, let alone the massage or anything else that comes with a usual manicure. She had difficulty with the cure light, we both laughed at how finicky it was and the fact there was no markings on how long the light was to be on. The only time I saw an instru...ctor was them giving her the "shellac manicure box". Then to complete the day, 5 of my nails were chipped within 12 hours of getting them done. I sent a facebook message to here the day after with pictures of my chipped nails, hoping to get some resolution to this problem. it has now been 12 DAYS and I have still not heard a word. I went in yesterday for the first time. The young lady I had was super nice, she cared about what she was doing. She wanted to do a good job. I got about 5 inches cut off so it was a big change, a change i asked for and she did great. I have gotten my hair colored at Capri twice now.  Just like any salon, everything depends on the student and instructor you work with.My first visit was amazing!  I have never been treated to a more thorough consultation!  We even went through different color selections on the student's iPad so a firm idea of what I expected could be gained.  My student's name is Alexus V.  The instructor was Chapman.The second visit was a completely different experience!  The instructor this time talked around me most of the time, which I found to be very insulting.  Alexus still managed to do a beautiful job with a new color scheme, but we overrode the instructor's input on at least one area.  Then when I went to pay I was charged for 3 colors rather than the base and lowlights I had asked for.  Apparently the instructor decided to add that color in without my input.Since then I went in for a pedicure with a very sweet young lady named Sarah.  I was pleased with the foot massage and polish.  The set up leaves something to be desired and I feel like $29 is steep for a student pedicure.  I will be back to work with Alexus on my color and I WILL be requesting a certain supervising instructor! I had an appointment for a Pedicure and Manicure. My first surprise came when I went to the nail area to discover there was no bowls to place feet in, but a plastic container. The water was room temperature and the container did not heat the water but merely buzzed slightly in an attempt to vibrate. When moving over to the manicure area, the equipment was broken and I was almost struck in the face a few times by an unwieldy lamp. To top it all off, the temperature was cool. When your pants are rolled up to your knees and you are already chilled by tepid water, you're a bit chilly in general. Unfortunately, the woes encountered do not end here. These were environmental issues that could have been put off as poor maintenance and upkeep into the school itself. The additional concerns are regarding the technician/student who provided service. This student advised she was graduating in three weeks and I do not know how that is possible. Two other individuals started receiving services after I did and yet were done before I was. The technician was so slow in everything she did, not to mention unorganized. Additionally, when she did my manicure, she failed to put polish on the sides of my nails, as if she were afraid to touch the ends. I am going to have to go somewhere else to get my nails redone. Application of color is not the only failure point. She used a metal tool to scrape off layers of my nail. I have been getting my nails done for years and have never had a technician go over the nail bed repeatedly scraping off nail, not cuticle, but nail. The last irritant to wrap up this dreadful evening was discovering that included in the price of the pedicure was a bottle of the nail polish color I selected. If I wanted to purchase a bottle of OPI, I would go to Ulta where they have a rewards program. What I hoped to be a relaxing evening, turned into an uncomfortable and costly mistake. What makes things even worse, is the staff knew I was displeased and didn't ask what they could have done to make my experience better or even if the technician did a satisfactory job. Read Less

I liked my hair when I went in but not when I came out.  All I wanted was a trim, not three inches taken off!  The student who cut my hair was afraid to take too much off so she ended up just snipping off about 1/4" off the ends.  The instructor came over and chided her for being too afraid and took over.  I ended up with a very choppy haircut.  I was very disappointed.  She said she was only cutting some long layers, which is how my hair was cut before.  When I got home, I noticed how thin she left the ends and how uneven and poorly cut the layers were.    When I went back to get it fixed by someone else, they commented how I used to have long hair.  They tried to make it look better, but to really fix the damage, they probably would have had to cut it to right below my chin.  Needless to say, I won't be going back there and can't recommend them based on this bad experience. I had my hair bleached and cut and the student (Liz Howell, I think that is the correct last name) did a fabulous job. I had virgin med-light brown hair to my chin and the last few inches were a combo of ten years of box red, a year of box black and twice stripped. I left a nice sunny blonde (exact color I wanted) with only tidbits of orangeish at the ends. She did so well snipping out those orange bits while still keeping my hair long enough to tie back on hot days. I knew it would be challenging and she really did an awesome job. I could not have been more pleased!!! Time spent: about three hours, total price: $46 for cut and color plus I gave her a $10 tip...very reasonable. Read Less

Their prices are fair which is a plus. I've experienced their facials, half hour massage, and the 1 hour hot stone massage. All were an o.k. experience for the price.I will say the esthetician was pretty nice and so was the lady that did my hot stone massage. I'm not sure if I will be back for the services there and it's partly due to me being accustomed to having services done by professionals at spa's such as Burke Williams & Glenn Ivy. It is perfect for someone on a budget just be mindful that some students may not be able to give you the type of pressure you desire (more firm) if you desire.
