I had a $50 gift card from Christmas I had not used yet so I went to Metro Nail Spa to use it for shellac manicure/pedicure. My nails were bare to start with and neded very little cutting, shaping, or trimming. I chose a simple color and asked for NOTHING else. It took the girl a LONG time and when I went to check out they took my $50 gift card and charged me an additional $22! Needless to say I will never cross that threshold ever again! I will most certainly keep my business at the DaVi Nails located inside the Walmart Store on 16th where the price is right and the service is so fast yet very personable. Meh it was okay they hurt my hands a few times while doing my acrylics and they can't speak good English and they are very quiet which made it hard for my boyfriend and I to understand , it's very cheap so that is a plus side but they also were in a big rush to get my money while my nails were getting filed she said "You pay me now if you wish to continue". I got a full set of acrylic nails with a clear hel top coat. The man that appears to be in charge of the place did my nails. The nail tips aren’t attached properly to my nails. On the underside of my nails I can put a nail between the nail tip & my nail. With that big of a gap everything is getting between the layers & I can’t get it out. The tips look like they flare upwards. I asked for the rounded tips & the file job is terrible. On 4 fingers the acrylic stops short of my cuticle so far that they look like they need a fill. I got my acrylics done and about a week later my shellac was chipping and one of my nails fell off. Also when they put the acrylic power on my nails felt a burning sensation. 2 months ago my mother was getting a pedicure from an employee named jayden and randomly the owner came out and kick jayden and told her to get out. I have gone to Max at Metro Nails for almost a year now. He is absolutely amazing! Takes his time to make sure my nails look perfect and pays very close attention to detail. I cannot begin to tell you how happy I am with my technician, James!! I have been here twice, and he does an AMAZING job!! The first time I went, he rescued me from a really really horrendous job that I had done at another salon. I was so happy when I left!! Today, I had him do pink and whites, and I am always somewhat disappointed when I leave every other salon I have went to...NOT TODAY!! My nails are beautiful, and have a more natural look to them. They are not super thick and are just shaped beautifully. I appreciate how he makes you feel welcomed and comfortable. Arrived at 10am Saturday, April 22nd. Asked for 2 adult pedicures and 1 child's. They got us right in. One pedicure needed no polish and the other adult and child received polish, with the child receiving toe and finger nail polish. The child's toenail polish scuffed after sitting under the dryer for 2 rounds and her nail polish peeled off in the tub that evening...my toe polish scuffed as well for being under the dryer for 2 rounds? The child's was fixed one time by the nail tech, but of course, scuffed in the vehicle immediately, even with having flip flops on! Not sure what product is being used or why the polish wouldn't dry, but I will not take my business back to this location...My bill for the 3 of us, including a tip for each attendant, was $92.00....and 2 of us have scuffed nails. Been there 3 times because of convenient location, all three times I had to ask the tech to please put her phone away. Not sure if it's the "younger" population or we've just become desensitized by seeing people on their phone. I'm old school enough to believe that if someone is providing a service to you and EXPECTING a tip, then they should pay attention to you and earn it. I dropped my 13 yr. old daughter off to have her nails done, she has gone here once before and her nails were just ok. This time the shape of the nails were were terrible, really wide and flat. When I went in to complain they just said they asked her if it was ok and she had said yes. Honestly I don't think she "understood" what they were asking. I feel like they took advantage of a younger girl coming in there and just rushed to get it done. They didn't even offer to fix them. Will NEVER go here again or let her go without me! Read Less

I paid $50 plus tip for mani and pedi, two days before I went on vacation. I got shellac on my fingernails, and had a full pedicure. The next day I woke up with my big toe throbbing and hurting so badly I went to a podiatrist, who had to cut out half of my toenail and he showed me a big jagged piece that was stuck inside my skin. Then during vacation I had one toenail polish just fall off completly, and on my shellac color on my hands; three nails tore off below the skin and had two other tears start so I just cut all my nails off as short as I could to make them look somewhat even. This was the absolute worst manicure of my entire life. I asked that my nails be filed square, manicurist proceeded to file of the edges leaving the center pointy. I has to ask that each finger be fixed. Eventually she filed my nails so low it was painful. As if it couldn't get worse there was no massage and she painted all over my skin and the cuticles. Polish was uneven with parts of my nail left unpolished and even after I asked that she fix a nail that had a hair from the polish brush in it she just dabbed on a bit more uneven polish. Horrendous. DO NOT GO THERE !!!! Had the WORST pedicure of my life. 7 pedi's going on, not once did I see them switch out for sterilized tools. As far as I could see they used the same tools for all 7 pedi's. One toenail cut so short it bled. I was last customer and they did not let me sit to dry, pushed me out the door immediately, messed up almost every toe. Horrible !!! Unsanitary !!!!! Read Less
