Great Aveda salon! I used to go to HABA, but they raised their prices significantly and I gave this place a chance.  I've been here for 3 haircuts now and I've brought my teenager here twice. Cut was fine, but for $160 plus a tip (and having my color lifted) I would have really liked receiving the color I anticipated and conveyed that I desired. If for some reason the color, or anything close to resembling a red color couldn't be achieved, I would have appreciated being told that before spending the money. Read Less

The best hair salon in the Iowa city/Coralville area. After going to several different places and having no luck, I ended up going to Chicago for anything more than a simple trim. After meeting Hannah, I haven't been to any other hair salons. She is very warm and friendly. I told her very briefly about what I was looking for. Without any hesitation, she started her work. I agree with all the reviews that said Colton is awesome. I got him by luck the first time I booked an appt asking for a cut and color. I have jet black hair and wanted some ombre highlights to a light caramel color and previous salons just never got the color right. He was so super sweet and professional and came in the day after Xmas when he was technically off. His service, skill, and suggestions were right on and I'm just sad I didn't come here before to get my hair done. So I am not much for reviewing but I saw a picture of Colton smiling and got a chuckle.  The only reason to come is to see Colton, he is amazing at listening to what you are looking for and then making it come a reality.  He will make you laugh and feel like family at the same time, always offering to grab you a coffee.  He did things with my hair no one else was brave enough to do, while adding his own flair.  I have had him do extensions with no fail, they were sheer perfection at reasonable prices.  I am not sure why anyone would go elsewhere.  Thanks ofr all you do Transformations!! I got a shellac manicure and pedicure for a wedding by Hannah and she was also very nice, easy to talk to, and personable. I wish the manicure and pedicure were a little more attention, my whole nail isn't covered on some of the small side and you can tell the thickness of the shellac. Pictures do not look like real life shellac, the pictures look a lot nicer and cleaner. Not 100% happy and honestly thought about getting them re-done somewhere else. First time I tried this salon...loved it!! I've always had long hair but I decided to go short for the rest of the summer; I was nervous about it! Tried this salon for the first time this week. The salon itself is in a great location. It was clean and welcoming. The staff offer beverages while you wait (wine, beer, soda, water). My stylist was Colton, and he was fantastic. Very professional while still very personable. I loved the cut and walked out feeling like a million bucks. The prices were very reasonable, too. I've found my new area stylist (after several unsuccessful attempts elsewhere), and I will definitely be back to see Colton. Highly recommend! Read Less

Not only was Colton extremely welcoming and friendly, but he spent time getting to know my hair, hair habits and preferences since it was my first visit. Got a haircut and style \with Colton because my usually go to salon didn't have any opening for me (had a wedding to go to). Got a great hair cut, and the lady next to me mentioned in passing that I should consider a Brazilian blow out, which I got a couple weeks later. My stylist is Colton and I can always count on him to inform me of the latest trends and, most importantly, be honest with me about the best looks for me.
