I decided to give this place a go as it is very close to where I live. First time I was there, the woman barely said two words to me and seemed annoyed I was even there. It seemed awkward. I decided to try it again as I thought maybe she was just having a bad day. On my 2nd visit, there was a different girl who was very friendly and we had a nice talk. I decided on that visit to just get a manicure with shellac. The manicure looked great! I was very impressed!
Then I went back a 3rd time and had a full set put on. I noticed that the owner who was doing my nails hands were very dirty. I could literally feel something gritty when he was touching my hands. How I managed not to stop the process then and there was beyond me! Then he nicked me slightly on the side of my finger with the electronic tool. This happens, not a big deal. He then proceeded too push his fingernail against the slight cut a few times. I asked him to stop doing that as I was freaked out that his dirty nails were going to give me an infection! Then he went back to using the electronic tool and nicked the side of another finger! That one was rather painful and I pulled my hand back. He was clearly annoyed and kept taking deep breaths and exhaling dramatically. I think that was his way of to letting me know he was annoyed. Mind you a few minutes after I got there, he started doing my nails and a friend of his came in and pulled up a chair and sat uncomfortably close to my chair and they talked to one another up until the process of doing my nails was almost over. I was so annoyed from beginning to end. Based on my 3rd experience I gave it a 1 star and won’t be returning.

I went for a pedicure during the middle of the day on a Tuesday. Only a couple of people getting their nails done. I was greeted promptly in a friendly way. Very nice selection of colors and they offer a menu of services that also come with discounted additional services (I.e. $35 pedicure and then a $10 manicure). Chairs are a bit best up, but the service more than makes up for it. My feet feel and look great. I'll be back!

This was the most unsanitary nail salon I've ever been to. My nails turned out nice but not a one of the tools were clean. Romeo had just finished someone else's nails and then used the same drill bit...
This was the most unsanitary nail salon I've ever been to. My nails turned out nice but not a one of the tools were clean. Romeo had just finished someone else's nails and then used the same drill bits on my nails, he used his finger nails in place of a scalpel, the table wasn't wiped down once, and the files were super dusty. Again my nails turned out fine but the thought of bacteria creeping around my callouses does not sit well with me.

I was traveling today to Cedar Rapids and found I has some extra time at the end of the day so I decided to get a manicure and pedicure. I am very cautious of nail salons so I asked one of my customers who they recommend. The recommended Nail City, which was right around the corner. I was very impressed with them. They got me in right away. I selected the nail colors and was directed to which pedicure chair to sit in. It took about 15 minutes before they actually started the pedicure but I was able to relax with the massage chair. I was glad to see they cleaned all the tools before working on me. Although it took a little longer than I expected I was over all very pleased with the business, the employees and the manicure and pedicure. I would visit them again when in town.

Absolutely terrible experience. Simple manicure and pedicure. They shredded my nails, cut down my cuticles so much they started bleeding, and couldn't even manage to put on a halfway decent coat of polish. They only decent part of the experience was their tragic excuse for a foot massage. Never going back.

I've come to Nail City for years and love the service that Romeo provides. Their manicures are consistent regardless of the technician. They recently changed their product like and now offer Epoch products and offer 3 different levels of pedicure.

Ok, so I'm usually VERY generous when giving reviews. This time however, is a different story. My 9 yr old daughter and I went into this salon for a special day together of getting our nails done. ...
Ok, so I'm usually VERY generous when giving reviews. This time however, is a different story. My 9 yr old daughter and I went into this salon for a special day together of getting our nails done. They shuttled me across the room and left her sitting alone for almost 30 mins (after telling me that there was no wait). Then, the manager who finally helped her dripped bright pink polish onto her Ugg shoes (and dropped the messy brush inside her shoe) and didn't even bother to tell me he had done it. My daughter couldn't believe how shady this adult could be by trying to hide it from me. We were very disappointed and won't be returning to this chain (since they are probably all owned by the same family in the area). We went to the one on Boyson near C Avenue.

I decided to give this place a go as it is very close to where I live. First time I was there, the woman barely said two words to me and seemed annoyed I was even there. It seemed awkward. I decided to try it again as I thought maybe she was just having a bad day. On my 2nd visit, there was a different girl who was very friendly and we had a nice talk. I decided on that visit to just get a manicure with shellac. The manicure looked great! I was very impressed!

I went for a pedicure during the middle of the day on a Tuesday. Only a couple of people getting their nails done. I was greeted promptly in a friendly way. Very nice selection of colors and they offer a menu of services that also come with discounted additional services (I.e. $35 pedicure and then a $10 manicure). This was the most unsanitary nail salon I've ever been to. My nails turned out nice but not a one of the tools were clean. Romeo had just finished someone else's nails and then used the same drill bits on my nails, he used his finger nails in place of a scalpel, the table wasn't wiped down once, and the files were super dusty. Absolutely terrible experience. Simple manicure and pedicure. They shredded my nails, cut down my cuticles so much they started bleeding, and couldn't even manage to put on a halfway decent coat of polish.
