Luxurious decor, super clean and they carry out health & safety standards with use of  gloves & liners in the pedicure tubs. They also offer you the nail file, buffer, and pumice stone that was used just for you, to take home as a added perk. They offer several pedicure/manicure packages. There is a well stocked beverage bar & have a designated area that is welcoming for group parties to socialize while enjoying a manicure. The technicians are very professional, knowledgeable, and skilled in the latest nail fashion trends. They listen to what the customer wants & I would feel very comfortable returning if a correction needed to be made. The owner meets with customers, is very organized, and brings to the customer many years of a superior reputation running 2 locations. I have been to many salons in the area & had almost given up finding a salon that could offer professionalism. I found this salon through Yelp today & was very impressed. I would feel very confident  bringing friends/family in for a spa day. Payment is accepted by debit, but pay in cash & you earn rewards towards a mani/pedi. This was my first time at Nails De vie. I was referred there by another girl who worked at a different salon, where they did NOT do dip nails, who said she loved it there and have her nails done there. I have been in the past drove to northern I'll to have my nails done at Bella Nails in Algonquin, Il.  It's a good excuse to see my children. However time doesn't permit it at this time. I had tried a couple other salons in Davenport and was disappointed. I believe I have found a permanent place locally now. Loved the atmosphere! The remodel of there location is beautiful. I felt relaxed. It was VERY clean. But the best was my nail tech, very efficient in the removal of my existing dip, the reshaping, never tried this one before, I really love the new shape. She took her time, didn't rush through the process. The only I didn't give it 5 stars, I felt they were pricey. All thought if I factor in the gas to drive to northern Il, it's cheap. Read Less

First time going yesterday. My normal nail tech of 3 years father passed away so had to find a place last min. Beautful salon But not very personable. My nail tech said 3 things to me. My sister inlaw and I just had pedicures there this past Saturday. The girl who did my sister inlaws was great, the girl who did mine, not so great. She was rude, refused to do what I asked, refused to redo the color (since I did not like what she did originally). She did not even massage my calves like your supposed to during a pedicure. So, I ended up paying $46 for a pedicure that I could have done at home for free. Steven, the owner, called me yesterday, trying to make it right, by offering me a 1/2 price pedicure, I appreciate that he cares about his customers enough to offer that, but I do not plan on going back. My sister inlaw and I went to Nails De Vie today for our pedicures, the girl who took care of my sister inlaw was great,  the girl who "took care" of me, not so great. I can not even say she did a decent job, or even cared if she did or not. She refused to massage my calves (one of the steps to a pedicure) she bared rubbed my feet. She spoke very rudely and and dismissive to me, then refused to do the easy design I wanted (Polish with a silver line going across the top). I ended up walking out very disappointed and $46 less in my wallet. I will not be going back. I spoke to the manager as I was paying, all he said was: I'm sorry to hear that, then he took my money. Owner is very rude. I walked in an hour before closing time for a pedicure only. No one acknowledged me for 5 minutes. Talk about awkward! Standing up front while everyone (including the owner) just stares at you. Then after whispering with one of the employees, the OWNER came to the desk, did not say hi but instead said 'ummmm...', to which I replied 'you must not have time tonight?' There were 2 other customers in the place at that time. At that point she stated 'No'. Just 'no'. Maybe next time, try to offer to book an appointment for the next day, greet your customers on time, and act like you're happy to have their business instead of treating them like an inconvenience. Disappointing!  A friend referred me to this salon for an IceDancer Pedicure.  She could not say enough about how awesome the treatment was and how the technician massaged her lower leg like a pro.  I was willing to pay the $43 for a great experience.  When I walked in I thought wow this place is clean and well done.  I was excited.  Then they asked if I wanted a drink (not complimentary, they charge you which is something they don't tell you upfront).  I ended up with a very young technician that was not trained and didn't know anything about the application of the products or any type of massage.  If you want top dollar then you need to have a full staff of 100% trained technicians at all times.  A nice facility can't sustain your business for long without the staff to back it up.  An older lady who appeared to be the manager just lounged around with her shoes off and was watching but didn't step in to mentor or train. My mom and I came here for her birthday for a pedicure. You have to understand that my mom almost never pampers herself, or get pedicures often, so she was in heaven! The prices were very affordable, the staff was nice, and they even gave us wine when we asked for it (and I don't think they charged us extra?). I got gel paint with two accent nails on each hand.  They followed my directions perfectly and did a great job! It was a little busy but they were very nice about informing me that it would be a wait and I didn't feel like they rushed through my nails.  I would definitely recommend and will come back when I am in town again! This was, hands down, the best experience I have had with a nail salon. Typically when I get a full set, the tips of my fingers are sore and I have to adjust to the feeling. After my experience here, I almost forget I got them done because they are perfect! I have gotten so many compliments on how natural they look as well. Worst experience I have ever had in a nail salon. The owner is a great guy and helped me once when I had a broken nail. I went to the shop for a full set, and the technician not only ruined my nails, but she BLED on me. She had an open cut that was not covered. Then she short changed me $11.00. I highly suggest that anyone who even considers going to this shop reconsider, or make sure that you only go to the owner or his wife.
