I have been going to Grace Nails for nearly three years since I moved to Ankeny and when I first went I loved it. The service is generally great and the staff is all very friendly but this last week I went with a friend to have our nails done before her baby shower. We made appointments and were seated right away but both of our appointments felt rushed as it was only about an hour and a half before they closed. We had them done on Saturday and by Sunday morning my nails were already peeling off. When they were placed the technician that put them on dipped the tips of the acrylics into what looked and smelled like acetone. The acrylics were full of bubbles and have now all completely fallen off, less then a week after being placed. The best nail salon around!!! EVER! They take time to make your nails looks like your own. Not thick and wide. Everyone is always so nice and it's such a clean and well decorated salon. You'll never want to go anywhere else-- and if you do, you'll go back like I did. I only left due to moving, but found I'm not that far away to go back and it's well worth it! Read Less

Energetic and fun atmosphere. This has been my 'go to' place for years and I have always had excellent and professional service. Staff is interactive and gets to know the customers. Unlike other salons, they work hard to fit people in even if they don't have an appointment and they're full. Utensils are clean. They definitely go above and beyond. Jo is my favorite! Read Less

Went to Grace nails with my granddaughter. Mani-pedi. The person I had did an OK job however spent the entire appointment talking to other nail techs. The person my granddaughter had was less interested in giving good service. Her pedicure was sloppy and we paid for a flower that didn't look any thing like a flower. Her French shellac manicure was the worst I've ever seen. Crooked and uneven. Quite expensive for finished product. Read Less

Went to grace nails on a friends recommendation. I got a mani pedi and this was the first time I'd gotten my nails at all professionally. The salon is nice but the woman doing my nails was incredibly rude and didn't listen to what I wanted at all. I made an appointment to get them fixed (normally I'm not so picky but this was for the marine corps ball and I spent 80 getting acrylics on my fingers and my toenails painted so I wanted it done right). The second time I ended up with a nicer woman but she spent the entire appointment with the store phone clamped between her shoulder and ear talking to a family member.
