My friends and I have been to Bombers twice, specifically on Tuesday nights for trivia night. Both times we’ve gone, we have been lucky to have Nate as our server. We spent upwards of 4 hours there both times, and Nate was there to constantly check up on us and make sure we had what we needed. He was always filling up our waters, making sure our drinks were made the way we asked, and helping us decide what to eat since we came into the restaurant not knowing what to expect. N...ate was very knowledgeable about the menu which really helped us to decide what to have. We understood that Nate had other tables, however he was doing his best to make sure we felt like a priority. There were even times that we saw him interacting with other tables as if he knew them and could see how happy he was making them with funny jokes or just helping the table out by taking their picture while this girl celebrated her birthday. All in all, the food was amazing and the service was top-notch. I would recommend this restaurant to all of my friends as a nice place to enjoy good food and drinks with wonderful staff! Pinky's has become my go to place to get my nails done. The salon is clean and bright. The staff are warm and welcoming. As soon as I walk in I am instantly greeted with a hello. I have been coming regularly for about two years now. Over the years I have had almost all the nail techs. I can honestly say I am happy with any of their staff members working on my nails. I gave pinky’s a shot since la vie was closed (closed on sundays for winter months). The many negative reviews made me nervous but my rapidly declining acrylics needed immediate attention. I came in around 2pm on a Sunday as a walk-in, no appointment. It was busy and I waited 30-40 minutes, though I was greeted immediately and invited to look over the nail polish colors. The waiting area was comfy and there were plenty of magazines. The wait did not bother me. I saw two women come in with appointments and they were seated promptly, as they should have been. I had the pleasure of Amy doing my nails. She was awesome. Friendly, quick, paid attention to detail. She greeted nearly everyone by name and still managed to make me feel comfortable that she was paying attention to what she did to my nails. I paid $35 for a fill (two tips applied at a different salon had broken) and polish, which is in line with what I’ve paid at other places. I would go out of my way to return to Amy again. First I was excited as I got a call at 6:33pm saying they were outside with my order that I just put in at 6:11pm, only to answer the phone and discover they were at the wrong address. So, now as I sit and wait knowing that the extra stop was going to make my meal just a bit more cooler they still showed up at 6:44pm, pretty good. However here it comes, my order clearly says NO SALSA, EXTRA SOUR CREAM for my chicken burrito. Of course I open the box and see a cup of salsa th...ere so I instantly began looking for my extra sc and it’s no where to be found. Not only did I not get extra sour cream that I paid for, but biting into my burrito was like biting into a loaf of bread it was so dry. So yup there’s goes my meal, highly disappointed and it is 100% their fault. Something so small just ruined it all. Only reason I gave 2 stars is because delivery was quick even with the address screw up. I remember when bombers opened on lark street. I LOVED It! I was thrilled when it opened a Schenectady location. And I went frequently. The tequila wings were my favorite. I would go often for the wings and a margarita. I moved away 3 years ago and when I returned this past weekend I was very disappointed with my visit. The tequila wings weren't the same. They didn't even taste good. To make matters worse, a restaurant known for margaritas didn't have sour... mix (margaritas are an entire page of the menu) as a bartender , I know any good bartender can still make a margarita with some lime and lemon and simple syrup quite easily. To make it worse , the server just shrugged as he told us and couldn't have cared. This attitude was present through the entire meal. The bombers I loved is gone. To be honest, it just sucks now. I read all of the reviews and was so surprised because I've only had the best experiences here! I come regularly and I don't even live here- everytime I come into town to visit mom we always make time to come in for a pedicure. The employees are all wonderful and so friendly, they make us feel totally comfortable. It's always very clean and they just got new massage chairs that are great! I love Pinky's! Read Less

I came in with no appt, woman greeted me, asked if I wanted gel (I told her I came in for a regular manicure). I told her no, no gel. She pointed out nail polish racks, I chose a color and was assigned seat 4 very quickly. So far so good. Then manicurist comes to my seat and asks me if I want gel. I said no. "Why don't you want gel?", she asks. I told her it cracks my nails, dries them out." She smiled and said "Put lotion on them!" Obviously lotion doesnt penetrate through the hard gel cover of the nails so I pointed that out and she ignored me, walked over to a customer she had just worked on and started looking at her photos on her phone. Then she walked to the back of the room. I sat there feeling irritated and realized I have a choice of at least 2 other salons nearby where they don't argue with me or question my choices! So I left! Went to the Schenectady location for the first time last night. Was really loud for my liking but I guess that's what people do on weekends so I can't fault them for it. The service, though! From the wise-cracking door guy(we started it, so it was appreciated) to the really stellar waiter we had was beyond great! The beer selection was really good, wasn't expensive, food was great, waiter was over consistently to check on us and seemed plenty happy to help us out. I would definitely go back! Read Less

Service was a little slow which was to be expected on a Friday night. When given our check, we walked up to the front and paid, we just wanted to pay and leave quick to get on with the rest of our night since we only had a limited time to be out, the server, Brittany I believe her name was, then started bombarding us with “was I okay? Was the food okay?” And when we said everything was fine, she rolled her eyes at us. I guess all of this because the member from our group who ...was leaving the tip was in the restroom and left a few minutes after we headed downstairs. It seemed like she was begging for a type and became rude to us when she wasn’t immediately given a tip upon payment of the bill. I was there when Bomber's first opened on Lark Street around the corner from where I lived. I've supported this business for the last 20 years. The food is good (my personal opinion is that only the wings are great) but not good enough to subject myself to continually disappointing and frustrating customer service. The customer service in the Schenectady restaurant is atrocious. I have never had polite and friendly customer service- either up stairs dining, or down stairs for... take out or a quick sit down meal. In fact, the servers and cashiers are either indifferent at best or downright snarky at worst, and the past few occasion it's been the worst case scenario. Today I was waited on by a brunette with long hair put up, with a nose-ring, and some tattoos (didn't catch a name, so I'm describing so her boss knows who I'm writing about). This girl followed form I've come to expect by saying, "What can I get you?" There was no, "Hi, welcome to Bomber's? Do you have any questions? How can I be of service?" etc. Nothing that included typical good customer service 101. This girl was openly sighing, and making annoyed noises throughout my visit. Although, she was rather chipper and talkative to a young man who came in and sat down at the spot closest to the cash register. My wife, who has a highly restricted diet ordered black beans and lettuce. She asked this girl if there was cilantro to top the dish with. The girl was clearly annoyed by this request. Her response was, "We have cilantro for making dishes, but I'd have to cut some up." Good Lord, thanks for nothing young lady. The good will that cutting up a sprig of cilantro would have garnered is the difference between a good review, where I would feel validated and happy to say I've supported Bomber's for 20 years and one where I write, I probably won't be back. The food isn't good enough to swallow shitty service. This makes me pretty sad. As I've said, I lived on Washington Park and was there when Bomber's first opened. I introduced my friends to it. Dont go here. And if ur lucky enough to get Tommy, dont even sit down! They dont respect appointment times. Then try to convince you that you were late when they were already working on a customer during the time you were set to have your appointment. I picked a nice nail color for my toes only to be told (after soaking in their tub) that the Polish was $3 more cuz it lasts longer and is new! So I got out of the tub after pedi to pick affordable color. She didn't even offer to do it for me. And they line the pedi tubs in plastic and change brrween clients. I'm not sure they scrub the tubs between clients! I won't be back And the chair they put me in only halfway worked. Read Less

I usually am not the type of person that goes out of my way to write reviews but just for the sake of others I decided to do this.. Please take my word for it and find any other nail salon besides this one I wasted $30 and three hours of my life coming here I ended up leaving with lumpy, uneven, and poorly done nails. The lady that did them claimed to have 10 years of experience but yet my index fingers have completely different length. She also insisted I paid her before my nails were even done which was also an odd request considering every other nail place doesn't charge until you're completely done. This place doesn't even deserve one star . During the time I was there the lady kept telling everybody they would wait 30 minutes maximum and after an hour of waiting they would get up and leave. This used to be my favorite nail place but after a visit this weekend it seemingly has gone downhill.  After having to wait more than 30 minutes with an appointment the nail technician was not gentle and the pedicure was definitely not up to standards.  Mia down the road does a much better job. I wanted to take my sister-in-law, who is a new mother, out for a special treat! We both had birthdays the first week of Sept. so I thought getting pedicures together would be great and a nice gift from my hubby/her brother. We arrived on time, after I made reservations. First they wanted to put us in two different chairs (not next to each other). Then, after putting us at each chair, they told us to get up and get the colors we wanted... the whole time while we were getting pedicures, my woman and my sister-in-law's gentleman, were talking and laughing to each other. They barely even looked at us or spoke to us (except to try and sell me on additional services) or tell me that my sister-in-law did not look like a new mother (because she is so fit) but I was not very fit-which is totally true ;-/ but I didn't need to hear that at the time. We both asked for pedicures, but got completely different service from each other (and we were seated next to each other)! Overall, our toes look great, but I was a bit disappointed with the customer service of the place. I did tip them very well for the services they provided, but I do not intend to go back. Read Less

Hands down the best nail salon in the Indianapolis area.The first time I visited, the staff treated me wonderfully. As a regular, the service has only continued to be better and better.Every service I get is extremely well done, the staff has an extremely high level of quality. I have been getting Gel nails for a few years now, and Ive settled at Pinky's.  They are great!  I mentioned that I shouldn't use the UV light to "cure the nails" and they ordered the LED light for me!  The next time I went in they had it!!!  I bring my daughter with me and they are really nice to her too.  Kids prices can't be beat!  love pinky's.  Very clean also.  They do a great job and have great colors to choose from.  5 stars!!!!! I've been to this nail salon many times and have always had fabulous service! Even if they are busy, you don't have to wait long as many techs are on hand. My first mani/pedi in a long time, and Ann at Pinky's Nails did awesome!!!The pedicure was wonderful and she did a perfect job on my toes. I am a runner and asked that she not remove my calluses. She softened them but did not remove them. I also asked that she keep my toenails short because of this, and she shaped them beautifully while keeping them very short.I got my first shellac manicure and was nervous because I have seen reviews for other places saying that they got too far from the cuticle initially, causing the growth to be very noticeable after two weeks. Ann did an amazing job getting the polish right up to my cuticle, giving plenty of room for growth! I am a guitar player and asked her to be careful in removing calluses on my left hand, and she did an amazing job.I will definitely make Pinky's my place for manis and pedis in the future!
